Flare Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Right you are! See, you knew what was going on the whole time. And as for all the weird shit that's going on this quest - I hope you leave some of these characters alive, as they all have further things to do! A lot of their actions will be explained and extrapolated upon if they make it through. Some of them are SUPER important, but all of them (barring one) CAN be killed this quest... it will just have a major impact on future Zepher quests. My guess is that Madam Ladybug can't be killed because she's an integral part of Sandy's NPC host Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Welcome back Sandy! Thanks Scuba. I am debating on whether to use a crocodile or a dinosaur for his beast form. Dinosawr! Quote
Endgame Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 I'll be leaving for a baseball game in 45 minutes... and won't be back until 11 PM. (3:00 right now, by the way.) So, I'll probably see you all tomorrow when the clock hits 3:45. Quote
Scorpiox Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Guess who's back? I have to apologize, though, for I have a friggin' Orthanc to build and I can't give you my full attention until that's done. Welcome back, master! Quote
Scubacarrot Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Zepher. So... Why would Guffington and U'or attack the heroes? Am I missing something? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Zepher. So... Why would Guffington and U'or attack the heroes? Am I missing something? They won't; they don't deal Free Hits. They'll only attack us if we attack them. (Presumably because this scene is so chaotic that they can't tell who's who.) Quote
Scubacarrot Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 (edited) So would they be immune to random AoE damage or random assassinations? I hope so... But I guess not, haha. And note how Everstien is just standing there looking. Knew we couldn't trust the bastard. Edited July 3, 2013 by Scubacarrot Quote

I'll be thinking of you, and considering how many proggs it would take to fill the Ballpark. Quote
JimBee Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Zepher, you do realize Madame Ladybug, being encouraged, has a power of 96, right? She's also hastened and lucky, so that's a likely 192 damage per round, just from her. Okay, maybe not the wisest idea to start an all-party brawl, but she alone makes the battle almost impossible. If an enemy is encouraged, their level is already changed. So is actually level 24 if not encouraged. It's entirely possible to survive, but I am not going to help you unless/until Guts joins in. Brickdoctor Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 The original Level isn't crossed out and shown next to the Level in Ladybug's stats, though. I guess we have to wait for Zeph to tell us which Level is written there. Quote
Flipz Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 I like to think because Guts does awesome dance moves, the money, raining from the sky, appreciation from the Gods themselves. Oddly enough, given the setting of my upcoming Quest, this sort of thing may actually be possible... Yeah! And if it were not for Guts' dance moves, apparantly one of the party members of 39 had to kiss another one, and no one would have liked to see that. Speak for yourself. Then after the battle, could I, a knight, say, "I use my sword that pierces everything to cut down that tree." Logically, I should get gold, because if a rogue just attacked and got gold, gold would be in the tree anyways. The tree falls down on top of Alexandre, crushing him and Knocking him Out. Since he is out of battle, he is revived to 1 Health by his fellow party members, but the damage is done: he has lost his positive effects, and he feels Weakened and Fragile as a result of the tree's crushing weight. "Ah, I hope, for your sake, that you don't try that again." Guess who's back? I have to apologize, though, for I have a friggin' Orthanc to build and I can't give you my full attention until that's done. Quote

Yes! I have no positive effects anyways, and the tree comes down anyways! I get all the gold, and I just ask Sylph to heal me. Quote
Palathadric Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Apparently, Sylph's nurture only works in battle. Haven't read the updates from today, but I totally think that #72 will turn out to be a Murder on the Orient Express scenario with everyone helping to kill Guffington. I doubt the heroes will be as forgiving as Poirot though. I like to think because Guts does awesome dance moves, the money, raining from the sky, appreciation from the Gods themselves. Good idea for an upcoming quest. God thinks Guts' moves are too alternative and strikes him down with a bolt of lightning every time is dancing moves come into effect. Docken appreciates Guts' dance moves. They give the party a statistical buff. Wait until we see Guts, Cronk, and Docken on a quest. Guts dances to Cronk's tune and Docken provides the back-ups, hoping to partake of the statistical buffs. And yes, I believe you do lose access to the class. But then I wonder if you succeed in completing four quests for one house, then if you fail in one, do you still lose the class? I have to apologize, though, for I have a friggin' Orthanc to build and I can't give you my full attention until that's done. Don't forget to take pictures...lots of pictures. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Apparently, Sylph's nurture only works in battle. Now that Sandy's back, could he say Yay or Nay to this, just to be sure? I'd hate to be less powerful than I thought I was. Also, 2 more days until 76! (I should be ready, but moving has been so much more chaotic than it was supposed to be.) ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Scubacarrot Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 But then I wonder if you succeed in completing four quests for one house, then if you fail in one, do you still lose the class? No, because there is one Reputation level more than what you need to become the class. So you'd actually need to get reputation with the opposing faction twice in that case to lose the class. I think. Quote
Palathadric Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 But can one get up to four reputation levels or does it stop at three? Also, if Hybros would use a neutralizer, Madame Ladybug would lose her Lucky, Hastened, Blessed, and Encouraged effects, correct? Quote

Also, if Hybros would use a neutralizer, Madame Ladybug would lose her Lucky, Hastened, Blessed, and Encouraged effects, correct? I think it stops at three, and you're not supposed to help out other people's battles or quests in general, but that is technically indeed a possibility. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Also, if Hybros would use a neutralizer, Madame Ladybug would lose her Lucky, Hastened, Blessed, and Encouraged effects, correct? I did already mention that to JimB. Problem is, he only has two, so we don't want to use one unless we're confident that we can win (Even without those effects, we still need to get good rolls.) and unless we know that this is actually a battle we want to fight. Palathadric Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 I'm don't think I'm helping out. Just wondering if that's how it would work. QMs always seem to find ways around these items. Quote
Sandy Posted July 3, 2013 Author Posted July 3, 2013 Apparently, Sylph's nurture only works in battle. Druids have the "healing" job trait, allowing them to heal outside of battles. It doesn't remove effects, since there shouldn't be any negative effects outside of battle except in special circumstances. But can one get up to four reputation levels or does it stop at three? It stops at three. Good<Great<Outstanding. Quote
