Irony at its finest: original drafts of The Regret had him speaking only in poetic verse. He used it as a mental distraction from all of the voices in his head - I still like to think that he did that as some sort of pathetic coping device when his soul first split.

But yes, he is a lot more poetic in quest regarding his motives then in PM. Though I think his battle style is nothing short of art: his movements are perfectly calculated in normal form, and he started ripping holes in spacetime at the end of the Perfect Regret battle.

EDIT: Wow, that came out a lot harsher than I intended. Sorry... :look: What I meant to way was, The Regret's dialogue lacks the sort of poetic resonance that makes for a truly creepy nightmare sequence. In film terms, he'd be good for jump scares, but he's not truly menacing. Sort of like Voldemort post-resurrection, who wasn't really menacing, as opposed to pre-resurrection, when he was frickin' terrifying. :sweet:

He wanted to make Arthur hurt in the now, so I can understand where you're coming from.

But worry not, Progg 0 is going to be home of one of the most twisted, demented, nightmarish and downright horrifying sequences in all of Heroica. Implied violence is wonderful violence, wouldn't you agree? You'll finally get a peek into The Regret's mind... and what a place it is. :look:

Off the top of my head, I can think of The Stealer's "You'll find me before you find yourself" quote (he actually meant that with no malice, but still plenty nightmarish) and anything The Regret has ever said to you.

The Regret is appearing in Progg 0. He'll be doing what he does best: physically and mentally abuse people, haunting them, torturing them, and making them crave the sweet, sweet release of death. How's that for a Round 3?

I think Karie's looking for a nice light quest next.

After the nightmarish events of 56, the absolute hell of 62, and the emotional roller coaster of 70, I think Karie's going to want a quiet quest, perhaps out and about finding sheep lost in a field.

We need more quests that feel somewhat mundane, like 61: Grim Grinning Ghosts, 57: Green and Gone, heck, 1: Harvest Time. Sure there was the risk of something bad happening in all those quests, but there was a sense of the day job-ness I wish there was more of in Heroica. You won't always be off saving the country from the vicious Gnoll hordes. Sometimes the local village just needs some bandits dealt with, or perhaps a highway is being held up. I think with all the epicness going on, we're missing some of the charm of simple quests.

Not to go totally of topic, but Goblet of Fire Voldemort: Scary, Scary, Scary!!!

Deathly Hallows Voldemort:  What a goof!

It's hilarious that you say that because It sounds like Karie would genuinely enjoy 76.:laugh: No Fleur, no fires, not too much intrigue/betrayal. Just allot of Sheep, fields, forests and villages. And maybe a few hundred wolves.

If I can just get over the last hurdle here, my Quest is pretty light in that sense--it's a literal competition, and those who are entering are competing for fame, glory, and riches.

I hope Dreyrugr was never married, otherwise perhaps Pretzel should start calling him "Daddy."

Now, look after your elders sonny and make sure they are living with a house full of your loot comfortably. Wait, those are synonymous. If I ever get a good opportunity to reveal Dreyrugr's backstory this will be answered. If I ever get to level 50 my second character is going to be a lot more talkative though, I'm almost willing to go the Docken route. No roleplaying, breaking the 4th wall with a hammer but I wouldn't find that fun.

Actually, that is something I noticed: we don't have a single married character in Heroica. Skrall may count, and Sorrow had a fiance, but besides that. :look:

Well... No-one every really.... Asked sarge. Where do you think all that gold's going?

Is Masson actually physically buildable? I know his face exists (obviously) and I'd think the hair, but his purple Stealer outfit may be nonexistent. :look:

In Red, yes. But not purist purple. A few blobs of citadel paint and it might look like mason.

Quest 69: From the 8th to the 11th I will be checking in less frequently but I should be able to check in once a day, however if I hold up the party or can't make the 24 hour deadline feel free to add actions for Dreyrugr and keep moving.

Hey, if Madame Ladybug is Immune to Effects, she can't be Lucky, Hastened, or Blessed, right?

That is true  Zepher, betcha didn't notice that didya!

Also! Quest 74 and 75 heroes are chosen today!!! :excited: :excited: :excited:

Speaking of which, who thinks that Haldor should sign up to to to the pagoda or not? I'm not really sure.

I hope Benji and Haldor won't be on another quest together  We can't have too many hunks showing off, right!? :poke:

Too late now, sorry.

Better not leave your decisions to the last minute in the future.

Ha ha! Guess this is a life-lesson for me then.

I probably wouldn't have enjoyed such a long period away anyhow.

Quest #75 is actually a very short one, despite the distance between Eubric and Xu.

How many of the stars are remaining, presuming that this quest will finish off the previous one's start?

Go do the math yourself :poke:

I am nervous but excited, there's so much riding on this! No wonder Tarn's feeling the weight of the world on him, knowing that they failed last time - and it was a cracking team then as well. All we have to do is see what Sandy has tweaked for this Quest compared to #50. Should be very interesting.

Shoot, was hoping to make it to level 30 this Quest.

I think a little over 30.
