Brickdoctor Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 The only disadvantage would be that the Mage would have to attack physically, but yes, it's a powerful item. Actually, it's no different from scroll casting except it costs no ether. EDIT: Oh, well I guess there's a chance to trigger bad rolls too, rather than just failing at casting. I guess those are the tradeoffs for such a good drop. Ah, good point; I keep forgetting about the physical attack thing. (Although it my case, I do √-1 Damage, so if I was able to use it, it wouldn't make much difference if I was attacking from the Back Row with a physical attack using the Wishing Wand. A Mystic Knight could do really well with it.) Quote
Flipz Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Nessa lands a powerful bolt in her father, and Sylph follows, but his arrow glances off the cleric's shoulder. Uhh... Quote
Myrddyn Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 It's Little Red's father, who is mentioned in the line before. I was like that at first as well. Also, only just realised why Nessa was mumbling. Quote
Palathadric Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 What is this Wishing Wand anyway and who has it? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 What is this Wishing Wand anyway and who has it? It's got several effects that it has a 50% chance of inflicting on a successful hit, and the user gets to choose which effect he wants inflicted. PsyKater has it. Quote

Peppermint_M Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 So, Sandy... Could we have tried to catch those Rocs? *whistful sigh* Quote
Flipz Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Question: why don't more people try and buff NPCs? Especially as far as equipment goes. As far as I know, I'm the only player who's ever given NPCs artifacts out of my own supply. Lee Long could have done a TON more damage in that fight if he'd had the spare Ruby from Tensi's pack, and I'm sure there are other Artifacts sitting in the players' inventories that he could use. EDIT: I'm an idiot, I misread the types of the Rocs. Still, the point stands. Quote

It's not a Zepher Quest, so it's not a matter of life and death for the poor NPC... I suppose we could've given the Ruby to him, but look at his stuff. He's a Level 50 Chi Monk with artifacts I'd loot him for if he ended up dying. He should be giving us stuff! Quote

Nope, the party in Nova Tertia gave Bors the Quiver of Poisoning. And as a QM, I refuse to give them good stuff, cause as we all know, Benji will force them to give up their goods for free. Quote
Zepher Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 I am extremely sorry to 72. Updates are coming. Not quite yet, but in the next few hours. After that we will return to our normally active program. Quote
CMP Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 "I'm guessing you had to kill me for it," she says sweetly. "I hope I put up a good fight. Perhaps we can go somewhere private to talk? My chambers? You needn't fear me. I'm not foolish enough to make you kill me again, and if you feel the need to fight me, you know the outcome." Threatening someone in the past with that fact that you've already killed them once in the future is a good example of how awesome time travel is. Quote

UsernameMDM Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 But only if I can get Dragoon before level 40. I don't want to take the chance of the dragon disregarding orders. Quote
Zepher Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 I am also (because I make bad choices and host too many quests) in the development stages of VERY SHORT quests that will offer rep with the Shadeux/Hinckwell/Guild of Invision (probably to take off AND end in Sept.) and the Bonapartes/Ji Pei (probably to take off AND end in Oct.). They'll both be two to three battle quests. Hopefully. If I end up getting around to them. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Looks like everyone in 76 is ready to go! finally! I'll update when I get back to my house in a few hours, then, on to Brendenton! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
