UsernameMDM Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 I am also (because I make bad choices and host too many quests) in the development stages of VERY SHORT quests that will offer rep with the Shadeux/Hinckwell/Guild of Invision (probably to take off AND end in Sept.) and the Bonapartes/Ji Pei (probably to take off AND end in Oct.). They'll both be two to three battle quests. Hopefully. If I end up getting around to them. Sign me up for 1 of each. I need 2 Shadeaux to go Dragoon and 1 JP to go Chi Monk. I think both fit Hoke's personality just fine. Quote

Brickdoctor Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Brickdoctor - how easy will it be to spot the Shadeaux rep in your upcoming quest? I don't want to give away too much... it won't be straightforward, but if you look in the right place, it should be fairly clear. Whether you will look in the right place, I have no idea. If you're interested in coming, I can't guarantee you'll get picked, though, with two elven heroes already signed up. I might expand my party to six... Quote

UsernameMDM Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 (edited) Hoke needs to come talk Arthur into Mystic Knighting, and we can go on our Quests together. It would be a ether infused tornado of elemental death and destruction. Not sure how long the Kraken battle will go, and I think the bulk of my Field mates want to wipe out the map, including myself. Edited July 15, 2013 by UsernameMDM Quote

I wouldn't mind the Bonaparte one, but I don't know how kindly they'd take to me after the events of 69. Can I tell them that CMP made me do it? Edited July 15, 2013 by Palathadric Quote
Kintobor Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 No love for Ziegfrieds? Sign up for my next quest. I intend to throw in some Zeigfried rep, if you fulfill certain requirements. Quote
Zepher Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 I'm actually gearing up for my finale finale in earnest now, and those are the houses that I can offer rep with and still get in the bits of my story that I need done. And hopefully I'll be there, Kintober! Boooooo to Sorrow feeling remorse. He killed her because he thought she was evil. Being his 17 times great grand-daughter shouldn't figure into it. Boo I say! Endgame Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 If Sorrow knew she was family, he would've either had Arthur just cast sleep, talk to her and jail, and bail her out later... Or simply walk out the alley. Quote

It's the one after this one I hope Boomingham gets in on, since I intend to nod back to his exploits more than once. However, I think you'd like my upcoming quests. It's a bit darker than what I've done before in terms of its tone, but it's not a sob-fest by any standard. As well, the finalized name for my next quest is "Thick as Thieves". If Sorrow knew she was family, he would've either had Arthur just cast sleep, talk to her and jail, and bail her out later... Or simply walk out the alley. I'm not buying into it. STAB! Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Sorry Legonater, I've got to do better with my red herrings. Quote
Endgame Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 He's getting old, but Sorrow is capable of self defense. he could dropkick you right onto the deck of Gut's boat if he felt like it! Quote
The Legonater Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Sorry Legonater, I've got to do better with my red herrings. Nah, it's my own fault for trying to be so thorough. Quote

CorneliusMurdock Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Thanks for the wolpertinger, WBD! You're much nicer than Zepher. He tries to kill off anything cute and fuzzy that Cronk gets attached to. Quote
Zepher Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 If you had gone on the Barkington quest you probably would have gotten to keep him! I'm trying to figure out how to work him back into the story in a quest that you'll be on. I want Cronk to have a zoo now. Quote

Fixed that for you. EDIT: I love how when Arthur semi-loudly proclaimed to the dwarf that a number of Heroes present in the Hall--including Haldor--are better Heroes than Arthur, they all just sit back and ignore it (probably all thinking, "yeah, that's right" ), but when Arthur tries to take a subtle tack to mediate a fight between two of his friends, half of Heroica seems to try to get involved. Total fail as a Rogue, there, Arthur. EDIT 2: Yaaay, Dak's back! (Or at least, he has a post in Hero Statistics now. ) Edited July 16, 2013 by Flipz Quote
The Legonater Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 Blast it Dyric, stop being so dramatic about everything. Quote
Scorpiox Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 Brother, I dedicated my life for the protection of Eubric. We have to defeat her, Brother. "I know, Brother, I know." "Hello, Brother Poh--ah, Dyric." "De'kra, Brother, are you all right?" Brother! It is good to see you well. Argh! If Arthur and Dyric call each other brother one more time, I shall have to have Haldor decapitate both of them. Can't you two think of other ways to convey close friendship between characters, without using the same term over and over again? Quote
Flipz Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 It's a BIONICLE thing (De'kra's a BIONICLE character--though I'm still having difficulty trying to figure out the specifics. I'll get there! ). Desmond's a nice bonus. Also, surprised that Tanma didn't pick up on calling Dyric "Pohatu". To anyone who's seen the first movie, it's an obvious and near-perfect fit. (Why yes, I did stumble upon my old BIONICLE DVDs and watch them in a fit of nostalgia, why do you ask? ) Quote
Zepher Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 I think others have previously spoken out about the Bionicle stuff. It's kind of killer to have it in a game where most of us don't get the references. I'm not trying to damper the fun for y'all, but I'm sure you can understand why Scorpiox didn't pick up on it. I can also tell you that I kind of skim over stuff once Bioncle comes up, even though I generally read everything else most characters do. It's not fun to read as it requires too much background information I'm just not really interested in. Quote
LordoftheNoobs Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 I never got Bionicle. Are they robots or... what? Quote
PsyKater Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 So, now I read 50 pages of discussion (or what?). Feels like I missed a lot... It's got several effects that it has a 50% chance of inflicting on a successful hit, and the user gets to choose which effect he wants inflicted. PsyKater has it. I am so happy to get a strong weapon now finally, but I have yet to realize how it works :D I just realized that Amma has more Exp than Nessa and even than Sarge, who gained so much XP in the first place. And that was not even my intention when signing up for the Fields. Good luck to the Unlimited Quest party on the Kraken battle! Release the Kraken! It may live a day longer.... Quote

The bionicle stuff has never interested me and I also sort of avoid reading things by De'kra, because it just doesn't really make sense to me. Oh well. Quote
