Don't wait on me. Not sure how long the Kraken battle will go, and I think the bulk of my Field mates want to wipe out the map, including myself.

Thanks, that is a generous decision. I hope you know that I would have no problems to stop and sign up again. But I like the way things are going! Wipe out that map!

Nessa lands a powerful bolt in her father, and Sylph follows, but his arrow glances off the cleric's shoulder.

Uhh... :look:

And it would actually fit! Kind of...

it'd be like [...] sealing Nessa. Effect's there, it just doesn't do anything.

That's not quite true.

I think others have previously spoken out about the Bionicle stuff. It's kind of killer to have it in a game where most of us don't get the references. I'm not trying to damper the fun for y'all, but I'm sure you can understand why Scorpiox didn't pick up on it. I can also tell you that I kind of skim over stuff once Bioncle comes up, even though I generally read everything else most characters do. It's not fun to read as it requires too much background information I'm just not really interested in. :shrug_oh_well:

Oh no, I used to be rather an avid Bionicle fan and can understand most of the references, the truth is that I believe references should only be made when they fit, not only for the hell of them. In all honesty I am not getting any similarities between the Toa Nuva characters and the Dyric/Arthur/De'kra group in the slightest.

Perhaps something about this could be written in the Theatre? Don't repeat yourself too much. Just because saying "I'm with you, brother" was an effective way to convey support back in Quest #53, that doesn't mean that we want to read it in every post. It's not good writing and just ends up as a cliché.

Yes, it is possible to have too much of a thing in character writing.

For whom it may concern: I finally made a decision on what Amma will train for once she will be back in Eubric (if this happens before she reaches L30 ). It's pretty the opposite of what I was planning the last months and rather a step back to my original thoughts when I was setting up the character. The suggested rule changes make the decision even easier. Maybe I will have more time in the next months to develop her character more than now. Even if it is not so much my thing (actually I am more a player like Brickdocter).

I hope I can gather cool parts for the build until Amma meets Copper Fox. I have a clear image in mind of what Amma will look like. I am curious how close I can get.

Hundred gold says she goes Battle Mage. Which would be both unexpected and pretty cool, like Amma herself.

It's a BIONICLE thing (De'kra's a BIONICLE character--though I'm still having difficulty trying to figure out the specifics. I'll get there! ). Desmond's a nice bonus.

Also, surprised that Tanma didn't pick up on calling Dyric "Pohatu". To anyone who's seen the first movie, it's an obvious and near-perfect fit. (Why yes, I did stumble upon my old BIONICLE DVDs and watch them in a fit of nostalgia, why do you ask? )

I was just going off Desmond. Never watched LOST, but the video amused me. :shrug_oh_well:

I too, never really liked or got into Bionicle. It really was never my thing, and never will be.

EDIT: Just wanted to elaborate. Dyric started calling Arthur brother before I first saw the Desmond video posted here back... oh, near the tail end of 53? Anyways, that was more of a catalyst than anything.

If I'm not correct the scroll just has a one out of four chance of working. (roughly speaking)

This is from when we purchased it: http://www.eurobrick...75#entry1637622

Scroll of Disenchantment - Removes all positive effects from all opponents at the cost of 5 ether, 50/50 chance of casting.

I think we've just been unlucky. But the chances of it not working three times in a row is 1/8.

Also, I think the neutraliser would remove Big Reds Fragile.

Neutralizer - Removes all temporary effects from all allies and all opponents.

We can always see what Pie says about flee, heal, and come back, but the enemies would be pretty much full health.

I believe 50/50 chance of casting means after one's already rolled 1-3. Otherwise it wouldn't say that, but I'm waiting for CMP to confirm, if it's your way I'll use it.

Right now I don't mind much. If Pie says we can flee and come back, then that seems to make the most sense. Otherwise, maybe we could bump up the actions for round two. Reg won't be able to get paralyzed, but at least we will only need to worry about his free hit. I'm not sure how paralysis works against Big Red, but once the others are paralyzed we can take him down and then destroy the others at our leisure. I suppose we not need to remove his "encouraged" at all, but it may waste unnecessary ether. :look:

I'm open to any ideas though.

Incorrect. A 1, 2, or 3 counts as a "success", while a 4, 5, or 6 counts as a failure.

Trust me, I have a little bit of experience with Scrolls.

If we get rid of Regs 'encouraged,' Pretzel can take his free hits without taking damage, and target Diffur, (no damage from 'damage' rolls, knocked to 1 hp from 'special damage' rolls, but then because the special specifies that it reduces the heroes hp to one, there would be no further chance of Pretzel taking damage)

Then Erik can take Little Red (1 damage from 'damage' rolls, first 'special damage' Erik loses 1 gold (don't care) and further 'special damages' deal 1 damage)

Sylph can blind Gontzo or Erik can paralyse him

Deryrugr can put his armour on and tank Feldorin with no danger

Big Red heals 40 hp each round, but we should be able to do more damage than that most of the time.

At worst, Erik would lose 1 hp every 2/3 rounds, and Sylph 2 ether every 4 rounds.

Pretzel would be on 1 health afterwards, but not K/O'ed.

We'd slowly get there. Unless Sylph ran out of Ether.

I'm sorry all, 69 and 76ers. Life's been hectic for the past few days. I'll be able to manage it all, but updates'll be a bit slow (1 per day minimum). After this week though, things in 76 should speed up. I'm going to put some thought into our battle strategy now. I've only been skimming, if you haven't noticed.

Also, 76ers! I made your figures! I should have pictures including them starting tomorrow.

We don't have another neutralizer, but if Flipz is correct about the scrolls (which he must be. ), then it's use is not as bad as I feared.

Pie, would the enemy's effects return?

So, was it a Firefly ref in the quest Sandy, or was I clutching at straws?

You mean the Blue Hand? Probably a subconsciously made reference, yep.

I need to watch Firefly again someday. I still remember how great it was...

QM Note: Yay, the return of the digging puzzle from Quest#14!

What's more rewarding than days and days shoveling up horse crap off a stable floor hoping to find a corpse?
