Just as a heads up: Your PC cant be at two places at the same time (arena and Hall). So you'd have to wait until you are back at the Hall to sign up.

Sorry about that, I just wanted to sign up first.

As Heckz read the papers, he learned that the notes were written by an early alchemist, Dr. Paracelsior, some 200 years ago. He had been keenly interested in eternal life, and had done research on various related phenomena, including phoenixes and the undead. The notes are however too detailed and cryptic for Heckz to really understand them.

I would apply for that quest, but its only for advanced classes or higher.

I can reveal that whether you get reputation or not is up to your choices made in the quest.

It's not that big of a deal. As long as people don't start posting to the Hall when they are on a quest, I don't care where they post and when.

It's not like you have to wait 10 minutes after posting to the Marketplace to post to the Hall, just to ensure your character has had enough time to walk the distance.

But people were getting annoyed at the new player because he signed up for a quest while he was in the arena.

The Arena is just a casual place to spend time in-between quests, so a simple note like the one that B&P had about the sign-up taking place after the Arena battle should solve the time-space continuum.

And you should never be annoyed at fresh players making mistakes like that, because how would they know any better? Instead of getting annoyed, you should remember the time when you were new to this game and everything was just a big confusing blurr.

I apologize, but such a quest has been in my plans for a long, long time now. It doesn't mean that you can't host a Marketplace-quest after mine, though...
