I think the general idea of the reference might actually be a little more common than just a more obscure history reference...thanks in large part to Shakespeare.

On the subject of support classes (or lack thereof) discussed awhile ago in this topic, I just wanted to mention that Alchemist, Chi Monk, Necromancer, and Minstrel could all qualify as support classes. Three of those have healing abilities, and Alchemist can give items. Regulator, Dragoon, Winged Warrior, Cannoneer, and maybe Infiltrator are the only true offensive Expert Classes in my eyes.

Beast Warrior can't be considered as true offensive? :look:

I like the real life version of Lilith! I hope to see more town watch floating around, they're starting to build up an impressive number of NPCs. I want to see the Infiltrators return too.

I'm glad you like her! Finding a scowling female head besides Patricia's was hard, but I did find one. Paolo is more along the lines of comedic relief, what with his megaphone and all, but I do want to bring him back, since he is rather intelligent and great when it comes to deduction.

Skrall's been through a lot, war in Haddon, battle of Dastan, final fight against Wren, it takes quite a bit to rile him up.

:innocent: I'm glad that the abuse he has suffered has prepared him for seafood battle.

Yeh, come to think of it, there was a certain person that was involved in all of that, wasn't there? :poke:

Oh, I just want everyone to be aware that Tesni did friggin' 15k damage to one enemy in a single strike in the Falling Stars quest.

I'm not sure, is that a HRPG record?

So I was a little bit bored and I checked the math on that attack. I'm pretty sure the actual damage should have been 16,256 since the bone claws increase weapon power as opposed to total power. No difference to the fight, but just that little bit more awesome.

I want to host you again so badly, but I feel like you should have a turn with some other people first. I have already stated I want, and currently believe the plot will allow for a return of ALL past questers who want to take part on my final quest.

EDIT: The only two at this point I have my heart absolutely set on is Atramor and Pandora. They have too many connections to my plot at this point to NOT come along. But the more, the better. Hoke and Vipera could have their moments, Tarn and Ella (yes, I HAVE figured out a way to reuse Ella in an active role!), and so-on and so-forth.

Hoke and Vipera could have their moments.

Surely from the action of Hoke 'freeing' Vipera, Hoke should be granted Dragoon privileges. I wonder how Vipera will take to Hoke's dragon IF Hoke can't get Vipera....

Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in... :sadnew::laugh:

I almost hope chaos/order is still a major theme, it'll be fun to go through them as Regulator.

And does the Even Bigger Fish has another Special or is there nothing happening when rolling SD or does it get replaced with an "even more bigger fish"?

There's always a bigger fish.

Speaking of which, and this might be better off in Rules, but are power bonuses (such as from Skrall's Hunter Crossbow: +4 power vs. Beasts) added before multipliers or after? And which ones? Encouraged probably applies, but what about elemental multipliers?

There's always a bigger fish.

I totally wrote that in the quest before seeing this. UQM minds, conjoin!

And, actually Tesni's damage should only have been 3936. The Fiery Sawblade's regular stats are:

WP:20, deals 4x damage to enemies weak to fire.

So when a Ruby is imbued, then it's 8x to those weak to fire. It's sort of misleading now in Tesni's inventory, where it says (Fire, deals 8x to those weak to fire), so I think Sandy calculated an extra 4x multiplier.

That's why I ran the math, I wanted to check it out myself.

((20(Sawblade) + 3(Bone Claws))x4 + 31(Level) + 4(Power Boost)) * 8(Icy) * 8(Beast) * 2(Encouraged) = 16256

What's a little disappointing, at least for a programmer like myself, is if Tesni was 1 level higher she would have done exactly 214 in damage.

You're right, I always forget about those damn claws.

Tesni's Fiery Sawblade does have a Ruby imbued. Check out the Marketplace topic if you don't believe me.

Before, of course, since they're part of the initial damage output. The multipliers multiply the damage done, so it doesn't make sense to add anything after them.

You could argue that a weapon's element doesn't affect power bonuses coming from artefacts, but logically one strike cannot be "partially elemental", so it does.
