swils Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 The Arena is flawed IMHO. It's certainly not perfect, but it serves its purpose well enough: structured PvP to pass the time. Quote
PsyKater Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 I didn't want to come off rude. I know that there is a lot of effort being made in the Arena. Maybe the rewards should be removed? Then it is a place just for fun, to pass time as you said. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Tarn would love to go on another Quest involving Ella Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 The Arena is flawed IMHO. We are aware of this and it is in the process of being fixed. Hopefully we can incorporate the newer class rules and bring it more into balance. Quote
PsyKater Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 That's nice to hear. Sorry for my rant. I think I was a bit mad about the fact that nothing happened in the fight of Johon and Louis (which was great RPwise), and then seeing them talking like there was nothing in the Hall. What's the sense of the Arena then? What if you sign up for a Quest during an Arena fight and are not done when the Quest is about to leave? (I think this happened before though, with Heroes signing up at first and then go fighting but didn't get the fight done before the Quest left.) And how are you supposed to roleplay in the Hall (" You could say that. He's been fighting me in the arena.") while you don't know the result yet. (Well, yes, Captain Settle has done it really good, leaving it open.) So basically I just want to say sorry that my frustration was so audible. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 No problem, concerning those who get picked for quests, I'd imagine that one party would yield to the other. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Why are we not already using WBD's modified Arena Rules? They were perfect. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 I'll go through them and refresh them with the newest changes that Sandy has made, if K-Nut wants to edit them into the first post we can go from there. Quote

Pandora Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 EDIT: The only two at this point I have my heart absolutely set on is Atramor and Pandora. Hell yes, I'm going on that quest. Quote
JimBee Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Tesni's Fiery Sawblade does have a Ruby imbued. Check out the Marketplace topic if you don't believe me. I'm aware of that. I was saying the text is misleading because the base multiplier of the sword is 4x, not 8x. If I were QMing I might accidentally add the fire-elemental multiplier onto the 8x. Quote

That's why the fire multiplier isn't listed, it's just added onto the x4. Oh, it is. Yeah, that may get a bit confusing. Quote
Zepher Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 NOTE: I am leaving for vacation tomorrow. I will be gone for three months with no internet. If the quests I'm hosting/in could be put on hold, that'd be much appreciated! Naw, just messing with y'all, I'll be gone for about ten days, should have internet but may disappear for a while now and again. Will be back to normal posting by the 12th AT THE LATEST. Quote
Kintobor Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 (edited) For those of you who are wondering what music to listen to as the party rummages through Costello's house, this should do the trick. Edited August 1, 2013 by Kintobor Quote

Myrddyn Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Erik, if you target Little Red, use your Twin Axe in such a way that it will hit both her and Reg. Q: How do weapons with a "dual strike" effect work, exactly? And can a shield be carried with "twin weapons"?A: "Dual strike" deals damage to either the targetted enemy and the enemy next in the order OR double damage to one enemy upon a successful hit. A shield can be wielded with any weapon that doesn't specifically negate its use. Erik v. Gontzo (Titanic Axe) (Or, Little Red) > Sylph: Difur > Sylph: High Elf Can't. I can hit Difur, or Gontzo twice, but not Reg. Quote
Palathadric Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Is that a joke, or...? Reg is after Little Red in the Battle Order. Quote
Myrddyn Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Battle Order: >Pretzel: Gontzo (Flying Cross) Dreyrugr v. Gontzo (Voltedge) >Pretzel: Gontzo (Flying Cross) >Nessa v. Bondy >Nessa v. Gontzo Erik v. Gontzo (Titanic Axe) (Or, Little Red) > Sylph: Difur > Sylph: High Elf Not a joke, the enemy next in the order is Difur, but I've changed the conditional action in #69 anyway. Quote
PsyKater Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Not a joke, the enemy next in the order is Difur, but I've changed the conditional action in #69 anyway. I think it is next in the order of the enemies and not next in your battle order. At least that is what I understood from Dual Strike. Quote
Zepher Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 But in all likelihood posting will be a little spotty, which I apologize for. Quote
