CMP Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Sleeves? Hybros has black skin, remember? ....But....doesn't he have black legs? Quote
JimBee Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Done. will PM with files shortly Well that was fast, thanks a lot! I'll look forward to them. ....But....doesn't he have black legs? Yes, but I was kidding about the sleeves. The only "skin" showing is on his hands and face. Quote
Zepher Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Pretty sure I've asked this already, but are all items assumed to be used in the back row, or the front row? Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Steal Alexis with your Italian accent? What a great idea!!! It doesn't make much sense for an elf and a human to do that, well, Jess and what's his name are, but two pairs? Anyways, it also makes more sense that a valiant young knight should get the young elf girl. I probably won't intrude, that is not Alexander's personality.... or is it? I wouldn't call it 'spamming up the hall'. The Hall topic is meant for in-character talk, and right now, the romance thing is what all the active characters not in Quests are interested in. RPGs should go beyond the battles and stats. The Hall is a great place for character development. They're using the Hall topic for part of what it was meant for. I suppose I phrased that wrong. But it does get unbearable when for every topic I read, half the pages are little love notes with that now-becoming annoying love emoticon. --- Quote
Bioniclover Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Pretty sure I've asked this already, but are all items assumed to be used in the back row, or the front row? Items don't have targets or rows, they take effect no matter what. But since they do 't have targets... More free hits!!! Quote
Zepher Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 But assuming that something effects all heroes in the same row... are heroes using items simply ignored? Quote
Bioniclover Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 But assuming that something effects all heroes in the same row... are heroes using items simply ignored? I would assume so, since item users are row-less, but I didn't see it come up when I browsed the other Quests upon joining so you'd prolly have to ask Sandy. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 But assuming that something effects all heroes in the same row... are heroes using items simply ignored? I believe the convention has been that special damage rolls that effect all the party members also take into account those players using items and their specific rows. You are right that we should specify which rows we are using items from as Tensi may roll special damage doing half to those throwing bombs in the back and full to whoever is in the front. I will specify so in thread. Quote
Zepher Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Yeah, I'm going to assume back row for all of them. But I'll ask you to specify next time! Quote
Fred Daniel Yam Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Well that was fast, thanks a lot! I'll look forward to them. Yes, but I was kidding about the sleeves. The only "skin" showing is on his hands and face. Do you still need a new pic for Hybros? Quote
Flipz Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Can anyone tell me if my character's idea in the Library would be allowed? My thinking is that, if some bit of info from a previous quest comes up, Arthur could use the book to look it up, so the heroes on the present adventure have context for their decision, and that context wouldn't be metagaming. (Does that make sense?) Quote

(Does that make sense?) I'm not quite sure what you're getting at, if you want to refer to past quests as books that's entirely up to your character. As far as attaining information about the current quests in character, some have already solved that problem, i.e. En Sabeh Nur skried some of the heroes from past quests to see how they were doing. (Does that make sense?) De'kra will visit the library every so often to read the official statements on Quests, which is basically a collection of summaries from all the involved heroes about all the things they saw and what they did. Of course because they are records by the heroes, they might be twisted. Like all written versions of Quest 6 neglect to mention that the three heroes there betrayed their employers and made an alliance with the Wolfgang. The heroes wouldn't want that in the open, so instead they would record that they failed, rather than mention that they made a secret deal. Likewise I don't think those records could be accessed on a quest, so if you haven't read them you can't use their knowledge. Quote

What I'm getting at is more along the lines of, are there any included illustrations, such as a rendering of the symbol of the Lion Knights on the dagger in Quest 4, or other such details noticed by the heroes. Would the map of Bric'Lin, Brobric, Eubric, R'Kliff, and Mopag be included in the official record for later use? And, on the subject of public vs. private information, would the Zigfreid crest on the boxes in Quest 2 be recorded in the Quest Log, or would that remain hidden to the general public? And while we're on the subject of Quest 2, did the heroes actually kill Umbra Shadeaux or just incapacitate her? I know the heroes kept saying "knocked out", but I'd like to hear Sandy's word on the subject. Quote

Flipz Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Umbra Shadeaux is not dead. She was mentioned in Quest#10 as well. Is she undead, then? Thanks. Good to keep all these different story lines straight. Quote
soccerkid6 Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Etzel, I just wanted to say thanks for keeping the quest moving along quickly and all the work you have put into making the scenes. I thought the mummy arm on the wounded soldier was very creative and effective. Keep up the good work Quote
Zepher Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Yeah Etzel, I'm loving the Quest. It's unfortunate that the heroes don't seem to be doing so well though, the world seems to be currently plunging into war. Ennoc, Hinckwells & Elves & Lion Knights & Shaduex, My Quest... the world is getting worse, not better! Quote

Jedi master Brick Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Great quest Etzel, the Mocs are amazing. Also the battle see to be great for experience. Quote
CMP Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 I like the roleplay style you roll into the battle results, Rumble Strike. Quote
Etzel Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Thanks for the appreciation guys! My quest is much focused on battles, but so far I haven't really been able to make them that interesting I think (except maybe for the Ant battle ). I hope to change that in a future battle so hang on. The main reason why the quest moves on pretty quick is how fast you guys react on my posts, even though we play in different time zones. Great job! Quote

Great job! Yeah. We all seem to be on at a certain time of day so we can do 2-3 rounds of a a battle per day Quote
Flipz Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Hey, since Arthur is so clumsy...would anyone like to see him be a wet blanket on the Love Plague? Off-topic, someone really needs to make a quest involving...no, wait, I'll suggest that elsewhere. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 I like the roleplay style you roll into the battle results, Rumble Strike. Thanks, I have a great group of characters to draw from in the Quest so it's quite easy. Also I think there are times you need a bit of humour or it all gets a little dry. Quote
