Palathadric Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Party of two; one quest; #41. A good part of 42 also was just with two heroes. Quote
Palathadric Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 (edited) Could anyone else have seen Dreyrugr selling his Musky Mushroom on the Black Knight's Market and then the buyer finding out it is a counterfeit product that reduces their health? Haldor makes his way over to the tramp sitting crossed-legged in the middle of the street. He drops a coin into the man's lap as he does so. Cross-legged? I have to say that I rushed back up to the picture to see what I had missed and was disappointed. Edited August 6, 2013 by Palathadric Quote
Zepher Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 I'm running out of ways to "kill" Nyx at this point, Pandy. What is it, now? Shot in the stomach, surrounded by demons, stabbed in the stomach, and now neck punctured? Any I'm missing? Quote
Vash the Stampede Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Could anyone else have seen Dreyrugr selling his Musky Mushroom on the Black Knight's Market and then the buyer finding out it is a counterfeit product that reduces their health? Knowing my luck though it would've ended with their health rising, there was a 50-50 chance of that and with the rest of the bad luck we were having I figured it'd have run out when I used it. I'm glad at least that my health is still above the normal maximum. Quote

Sandy Posted August 7, 2013 Author Posted August 7, 2013 Holy hell, my brains have turned into a knot after having to calculate how a witch with an aura would mirror a special skill that uses the target's Shield-skill against themselves. I think I got it right in the end, after going back and forth with who gets hit with what in the end. Basically, the Conqueror's special was directed to Atramor, since he was wielding the Pheles Rod. The special skill caused Atramor to hex himself and lose gold to the Conqueror, but he also gets to mirror the skill. But because he is hexed, he doesn't mirror the skill back to the Conqueror, but to a random ally instead. Then, since one of the automata was randomly chosen, that Shield-skill isn't used against the enemies because of hexed, nor all allies because of aura, so the only option remained that Atramor directed it to himself, resulting in his own demise. Now I just have to add both the Mirror Special and the Pheles Rod to the list of regrettable things I've created for this game, right there with the Healing Staff. EDIT: Just my luck... CMP pointed out that I made a tiny error that of course changes everything, and I just spend half an hour trying to make the process work for nothing. Quote

Scorpiox Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 A note to those involved with Quest #80: Tomorrow I shall be embarking on a jolly Irish holiday for ten days or so. During this time I will do my best to leech off whatever Wi-Fi I can find to post as much as possible, but there may be times where I cannot be online more than once per day. Thank you for your patience. Quote
Pandora Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 I'm running out of ways to "kill" Nyx at this point, Pandy. What is it, now? Shot in the stomach, surrounded by demons, stabbed in the stomach, and now neck punctured? Any I'm missing? So many I've lost count. All part and parcel of being a glass canon, I guess, but it might also contribute to her becoming a Necromancer (to put it in Brickdoctor terms "if you strike me down now I will become more powerful than you could possibly imagine" EDIT: although, technically, the first bit would be "if you strike me down a bazillion times" ). Anyway, how could you possibly be running out of ways? I'm sure you'll still manage to "kill" Nyx many more times yet, so think of her as your "mode of death" muse. Now I just have to add both the Mirror Special and the Pheles Rod to the list of regrettable things I've created for this game, right there with the Healing Staff. Would now be a really bad time to ask what happens with my new Shield skill (do I heal all allies??) when I'm hitting an ally with the Healing Staff? Quote

Palathadric Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Any questions I have yet to somehow answer?" No question, just a statement...thing. Thinking of what Legolas says to Aragorn when Aragorn comes to Helm's Deep. Quote
Zepher Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 (edited) Sandy, I love when you run into the problems you gave me. Witches with a Pheles Rod. And Pandora, don't worry, I will continue to strive to kill you every way possible. "We are so glad you two could sort that out. When is the wedding?" How has this gem been overlooked? Along with the whole conversation? Edited August 8, 2013 by Zepher Quote
Wedge09 Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Sandy, I can't ask in-game therefore can I ask you off-game? My questions are: What can you tell me about the forgotten ruins of Ennon? and What other possible ruins, famous or not, there are in Heroica's world, if you know? Quote

My questions are: What can you tell me about the forgotten ruins of Ennon? and What other possible ruins, famous or not, there are in Heroica's world, if you know? Ennon was a kingdom that got totally ravaged by the orcish invasion about 250 years prior to the events of the game. Fortaan was the capital of that kingdom, so that's where you'll find the most ruins. As for other ruins, you are free to make up them anywhere into the world. The Great Abra Desert and Babeleth Darklands are perfect spots for some wasteland-style ruins, for example. Quote

JimBee Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 Speaking of Ennon, can anyone tell me about the High and Low Kingdoms (and which quests have featured them)? I remember reading a few quests taking place there, but they're a blur to me now, and some I haven't read at all. Quote
Zepher Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 High Kingdoms: #16 (Moone), #19, #38, #64 Low Kingdoms: #62, #76 I thought there were more too. I am happy to announce that come winter, there will be a Zepher Quest that takes place in the North-most High Kingdoms. I am announcing this due to a) excitement and b) so that no one steals the area. It is imperative that it stays open for me... other people may be depending on it. Quote
PsyKater Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 Ehhh, someone has to talk with Stigveladi about this: Aquatic Labrys (WP:20, deals 4x damage to enemies weak to water, axe) Quote
