The Legonater Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 No. Each time you go up a rank in one faction you lose one rank in its opposing faction. You can have good reputation with all of them, though. That's what I thought, thanks. Quote
Endgame Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Hopefully this battle seems balanced, 79ers - I'm being extra cautious due to Witch/Necromancer combo.(Also, making sure I don't murder Althior for a second time. ) Quote

Endgame Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 ...Wow, the resemblance is uncanny! Not intended, but what works works. Quote
Zepher Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 I'm putting in a strong word for more lucky instant kill enemies. Quote
JimBee Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 So these Gloves of the Undead Assassin... do they net the wearer 5 regained HP or a +5 permanent health boost for every kill... Yes I've finally started to read Quest 69. Quote
Palathadric Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 I'm putting in a strong word for more lucky instant kill enemies. I don't know if I can say that the quest took a turn for the better as far as being interesting is concerned since that battle began. But whatever floats your boat. So these Gloves of the Undead Assassin... do they net the wearer 5 regained HP or a +5 permanent health boost for every kill... I thought it was a permanent +5 health boost, but it's just 5 HP. Quote
CMP Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 I don't know if I can say that the quest took a turn for the better as far as being interesting is concerned since that battle began. But whatever floats your boat. Agreed. I take my time crafting the most devious combination of enemies for the most grueling battles. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 I don't know if I can say that the quest took a turn for the better as far as being interesting is concerned since that battle began. But whatever floats your boat. He means that he finally gets to kill people. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Nope. He just kindly asked Avery to leave. Quote
Zepher Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Nope. He just kindly asked Avery to leave. We're almost done with the quest anyway. Just one more jump, and if everyone plays it smart and pays attention to what they've learned, it should be a quick one. Quote
Palathadric Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 I must not have been paying enough attention. I'm rather clueless. I love reading these kinds of quests like this one or Etzel's last, but I'm not sure how good I'd be at actually finding out the answer. Quote
Pandora Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 I must not have been paying enough attention. I'm rather clueless. I love reading these kinds of quests like this one or Etzel's last, but I'm not sure how good I'd be at actually finding out the answer. Quite a lot has happened behind the scenes too, so that might explain why you feel you're missing something. Avery was quite cooperative with Nyx last jump, but you haven't seen that happen. Quote
Palathadric Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 QM Note: Johon, where in the world did you get 14 Smelling Salts and Nostrums? Is it meant to be 4? Probably bought them after he made a mountain of gold in Quest 48. Quite a lot has happened behind the scenes too, so that might explain why you feel you're missing something. Avery was quite cooperative with Nyx last jump, but you haven't seen that happen. Right, you've got a lot of side quests going. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Avery was quite cooperative with Nyx last jump, but you haven't seen that happen. And she was initially cooperative with me, too, but I decided to attack the bystanders to make sure they couldn't flee, and she wasn't too happy about that. Quote
Zepher Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 (edited) Right, you've got a lot of side quests going. Quite a few of them are three or four pages long, at this point. They'll all be published after the quest. It is to encourage people's thinking - they actually have to actively pool information. Edited August 11, 2013 by Zepher Quote
Cutcobra Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 So, why would Jeaux keep a Grand Tonic for. Are you going Druid or Evoker joeshmoe554? Quote
Vash the Stampede Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 I thought it was a permanent +5 health boost, but it's just 5 HP. If it was a permanent bonus then why for goodness sake did I not go Assassin immediately? DLL, if you want to modify an item now's your chance. Quote
joeshmoe554 Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 Evoker is the current plan for him. Though he does look pretty cool as an assassin Quote
JimBee Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 Though he does look pretty cool as an assassin That's awesome! I love Jeaux's character (and also think it's rather fitting that you're a programmer IRL, or so you said at some point). Just one question regarding something that I might have missed: has he realized that he's an automaton? I thought you were playing him so that he didn't, but his current quest seems to indicate otherwise. Quote
PsyKater Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 Yes he realized at some point. I think it was in the Hall?! Quote
joeshmoe554 Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 Just one question regarding something that I might have missed: has he realized that he's an automaton? I thought you were playing him so that he didn't, but his current quest seems to indicate otherwise. I was at first, but I started to find it a bit too limiting to be playing him as something he was not so I setup a small reveal scene for him. I actually had it planned for when one of the lizards on Terra Nova managed to KO him, but it never happened so I instead inserted it into the hall thread shortly after returning. Quote
Palathadric Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 I really like Assassin Jeaux. Could somebody finally tell me how much Elphaba sells Ether Cores? Quote
