Capt.JohnPaul Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Lovely creations for the contest all! Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Quest #74 has now been updated with an epilogue that features the last major NPC that has not made an appearance in any quest yet: the Masked Man, the armoured leader of the Guild of Invision. Now that everyone has been introduced, it's probably time to start cutting down the numbers with a more heavy hand. Any point of me asking what would have happened if we'd have gone to the masked man? Quote
Cutcobra Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Oh no, I thought the Masked Man would have had a Deadpool mask... Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Oh no, I thought the Masked Man would have had a Deadpool mask... He's had the CMF Gladiator mask ever since Sandy posted those images with all the leading NPCs...which I always reference and can never find whenever I try, despite making an effort to remember where they are every time someone else points me to them... Sort of ugly Can't say I'm a fan of his design, sorry Sandy. But perhaps the reason for the ugly mask will be explained in time... Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Boom. That's it; thanks! Bookmarked so I don't forget where they are again. Quote
Endgame Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Sort of ugly Can't say I'm a fan of his design, sorry Sandy. But perhaps the reason for the ugly mask will be explained in time... He's actually my favorite. I'm guessing he is some sort of biomechanical thing, considering he has a "figurative" heart... Quote
Palathadric Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Boom. This page only served to remind me of that moment in Quest 19. Great stuff. Quote
The Legonater Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Sort of ugly Can't say I'm a fan of his design, sorry Sandy. But perhaps the reason for the ugly mask will be explained in time... Personally, I really like it. It's a little more 'helmet' than 'mask' but it has a slightly unnerving vibe that fits in perfectly with the rest of the Guild. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Yeah the Guild of invision talk a good game about helping people but they are actually quite sinister. Quote
Kadabra Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 He's actually my favorite. I'm guessing he is some sort of biomechanical thing, considering he has a "figurative" heart... I think he's either undead, or mutated/disfigured by an unfinished version of the Elixir of Life. Robot or cyborg would make sense considering he's lived for apparently 200+ years, but being an alchemist's guild I'd say something to do with an immortality experiment gone wrong is more likely. Maybe he's using Horcruxes, and his heart (soul, actually) is already broken. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 I like it as well, it gives a really cool, steampunky feel. That, or Sandy has been watching Full Metal Alchemist, which would be appropiate. Quote
Sandy Posted August 25, 2013 Author Posted August 25, 2013 Any point of me asking what would have happened if we'd have gone to the masked man? You still would have gotten the reputation, but Dr. Cula would have been in a pickle. Sort of ugly Can't say I'm a fan of his design, sorry Sandy. But perhaps the reason for the ugly mask will be explained in time... You're ugly. The Masked Man is one of my favorite designs. He even sports all the colors of his faction. I like it as well, it gives a really cool, steampunky feel. That, or Sandy has been watching Full Metal Alchemist, which would be appropiate. Fullmetal Alchemist was part of my inspiration, I admit. Cutcobra Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 I know there are rumours of Hestia Bonaparte being a Veteran (If it's already been confirmed in another post ignore the rumour part) but I just wanna point out that the Eagle girl in Cruel Angel's Thesis has Hestia's torso, legs and possibly her face. Kadabra Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Confirmed, as the others have said, to be the veteran known as 'The Falconer'. We also know 'The Copper Fox', 'The Sand Queen', and 'The Dagonlord'. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 We know all six actually. The other two are Kulkulkahn, Winged Snake, Desert Snake. Something Snake. Whatever he called himself. And the Valkyrie, Asa Fjorgenbjorgen. Quote

Scubacarrot Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Feathered Serpent. I was close. Ah, they must have been revealed while I was gone. Do The Dragonlord, Sand Queen, or Copper Fox have names yet, or are they still only known by their aliases? I am not sure about the Sand Queen, but the other two have names. Quest 44 has them. Quote
Kadabra Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 (edited) I am not sure about the Sand Queen, but the other two have names. Quest 44 has them. Time for another archive binge, I suppose. Edited August 25, 2013 by Kadabra Quote

Brickdoctor Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 I think the Sand Queen is Oracle Semiramis. Pretty sure that's right. Quote
