Sandy Posted August 31, 2013 Author Posted August 31, 2013 I just got another little project of mine finished! Here is the pantheon of 21 deities created for the purposes of this game, with new or updated pictures! Included are the five gods created by other people than me; Akkaba, Amphibiannoc, Legovia, Orang Pendek and Pseudos. I'm going to put these up to the Library-topic with their flavor texts soon. Quote
Wedge09 Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Great work Sandy  But the third on the right, has a metal frog as head, is this a mutant frog?? Quote
Sandy Posted August 31, 2013 Author Posted August 31, 2013 Great work Sandy  But the third on the right, has a metal frog as head, is this a mutant frog?? Bah, it's Amphibiannoc, the god of the Frog Paladins, of course! Quote
Rumble Strike Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Great use of some newer Minifig parts. The Mouth of Sauron's helmet always looks so cool! Quote
Scubacarrot Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 It looks great! All these Pearl Gold items make me think there might be Mythical/Legendary weapons in the world that some say have been used by the gods themselves. Quote
Scorpiox Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Woah, those are some nice parts combinations, Sandy! Although I am sure as to who this is. In a similar vein, Khorne and I completed biographies of the four main Nordic deities, which are currently residing in a long PM-chain. Seeing as he is inactive in Heroica and has been for a while, would anyone be interested in me posting these information texts (with awesome drawings courtesy of Khorne) to be used in the library? Quote
Sandy Posted August 31, 2013 Author Posted August 31, 2013 That is indeed Thoric. I'm using Khorne's original description for him as the flavor text. Seeing as he is inactive in Heroica and has been for a while, would anyone be interested in me posting these information texts (with awesome drawings courtesy of Khorne) to be used in the library? You can post the information to the Library topic yourself, just like you and Khorne have in the past. Quote
Flare Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Sandy put the names in the image names, if anyone hasn't noticed (so we don't have to guess who is who ) Quote
Palathadric Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 The gods look great, Sandy. And great article about the Norse ones, Scorpiox. Great drawings. Quote
Scorpiox Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 The gods look great, Sandy. And great article about the Norse ones, Scorpiox. Great drawings. You'll have to thank Khorne for the drawings, I only suggested designs and co-wrote the articles. Quote
Flipz Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Looks like Arthur didn't have a premonition of Ethereth, I did... Quote
CMP Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Love those updated pictures, Sandy, and the article on Nord culture is really awesome, Scorpiox. Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Beautiful! I felt a strange tingling sensation seeing the God I created alongside the others. You'll have to thank Khorne for the drawings, I only suggested designs and co-wrote the articles. They too look great, but what about (Sir) Njordon the Sea God? Quote
Peppermint_M Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Best picture of Tesni ever Sandy! I'm going to have to collect the pictures she appears in for a record. Quote
Jebediahs Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Those images are really cool Sandy but if Arthur has some elaborate ties to Ethereth other than praying to it for spells then... Quote
Scorpiox Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 They too look great, but what about (Sir) Njordon the Sea God? Khorne hasn't really said anything about him to me, so I only have an idea of what I read from his in-character post. If he doesn't return in too long then I guess I'll have to come up with his look and feel by myself. We were, however, working on a Loki-esque trickster god, so hopefully that will follow at some point. Quote
Flipz Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Those images are really cool Sandy but if Arthur has some elaborate ties to Ethereth other than praying to it for spells then... I was just joking that Ethereth's new look looks like Arthur. (Though that might be a good reason for him to go Prophet, what with Wren gone...) Quote
Kadabra Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 It looks great! All these Pearl Gold items make me think there might be Mythical/Legendary weapons in the world that some say have been used by the gods themselves. Maybe the Pitchfork of Domination belonged to Centurus himself. Quote
Sandy Posted August 31, 2013 Author Posted August 31, 2013 Those images are really cool Sandy but if Arthur has some elaborate ties to Ethereth other than praying to it for spells then... Haha, just because of the hat? Sorry to break your conspiracy theories, but that was just a coincidence. I chose the blue hat with stars because it fit Ethereth the best out of all the wizard hats. Khorne hasn't really said anything about him to me, so I only have an idea of what I read from his in-character post. If he doesn't return in too long then I guess I'll have to come up with his look and feel by myself. We were, however, working on a Loki-esque trickster god, so hopefully that will follow at some point. I added Njordon into the list of deities as an alternative name to Neron. And there's already a "trickster god" in this game world - Mercutio. The Vikings can have their own version of him. Quote

I chose the blue hat with stars because it fit Ethereth the best out of all the wizard hats. It's the hat and the red and blue cloaks together that do it, I think. Hmm...maybe Arthur could pull a Yue (spoiler alert) when it's time for him to die. Quote

The Vikings can have their own version of him. That's exactly what I had in mind. For the most part, the Norse gods are (often more barbaric) variations from the traditional Eubric deities. Quote
Duvors Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 I just want to point out that in the real world myth the Norse gods of the sea were a pair, Ager and Ran, the god and goddess of the sea. Quote
