Rumble Strike Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Heroica as a Bruckheimer film? Nice! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 If you go on one of my quests, you always get a concluding shot with fireballs and lightning and silhouettes and stuff like that. I think. I'm not even sure what my concluding shot looks like nowadays. Quote
CMP Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 I'm not even sure what my concluding shot looks like nowadays. They always end with something something something something something....heroes, I think, with some sort of dramatic shot in front of some sort of stormy/fiery thing. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 There you go; that's a good description. Quote
Zepher Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 (OCC; I swear, if anyone says anything to me right now...) How dare anyone say anything to you in an interactive game! Quote
Chromeknight Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 something something something something something....heroes, I think, with some sort of dramatic shot in front of some sort of stormy/fiery thing. I was wondering what I should call my first quest. Thanks Pie! Quote
CMP Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 I was wondering what I should call my first quest. Thanks Pie! Alternatively, shorten it to 'Quest #81: Heroes, Fire, Explosions, Stormy Things, Dramatic Stuff!' Quote
Flipz Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Heroica as a Bruckheimer film? Nice! If Gore Verbinski's directing and Zepher's writing, I'm game. Or better yet, Gore Verbinski and Jon Favreau co-directing! Quote
herrJJ Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Heroica as a Bruckheimer film? Nice! I first read Brickheimer... Quote
UsernameMDM Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Want..soo...bad... Qilin Blade (WP:15, damages undead, ignores row and SP; longsword) Quote
Tachyon Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Probably the most appealing of all of the house's artefacts. Quote
Flipz Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 That handcannon would be EPIC in the hands of an Evoker. Kadabra, I recommend getting some money together for Benji. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Why is there not a doorkicking job trait... Quote
Pandora Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 And thus I say unto you: Job Traits! Yeah, he's part Barbarian, part Rogue. If Guts can't break through a door one way or another it's frankly embarrassing. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Look. I'm sure Guts could, but it'd involve time, it'd get all technical... He has a destructive mage with him, that just seems much more efficient. Quote
Jebediahs Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 It was a really fantastic quest, the battles and characters were awesome, as was everything else I was hoping to get to use my reptilian abilities some more but thats alright I was just glancing through Beast Warrior's Job Traits and I noticed that you could assume Beast Form outside of comba as an actual play mechanic. That's wicked, can't wit to see how Benji uses it not just for roleplaying but also for game-breaking shenanigans. I really like how you've played BW!Benji, he feels very 'real' in the sense that if people had a hard-to-control ability to turn into a reptile that is exactly how I'd imagine they'd feel. Flare, do you roleplay Benji transforming into various lizardy (like a tiny lizard for spying) forms or raptor only? Quote

Bah, I haven't even gotten the chance to Quest yet and there's already a unique item I want to buy. How much for it, Flare? It's not size, it's how you use them. Job Traits: Doorkicking - Guts can kick through any door, so long as he is not wearing Dancing Shoes. Alcoholism: Guts gets a plus 3 to Chutzpah every time he roleplays drinking. Age, Wisdom, and Experience: Guts doesn't know how to use these new-fangled Ji Pei 'compoopers', but he cold tell you stories about how back in his day he had to hike through 47 miles of snow uphill both ways to the store so he could buy half a loaf of bread to feed his family. Battle Style: "Badass" - Guts thinks he's still got it, allowing him to do things that should b any logic have pulled his back by now. Those 44 year olds, trying to kick down doors at their age. Real adventurers are preteens. Edited September 5, 2013 by Kadabra Quote
Flare Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Flare, do you roleplay Benji transforming into various lizardy (like a tiny lizard for spying) forms or raptor only? Right now he has only changed into a raptor but as soon as he has more experience with transforming he will figure out how to turn in to various types of lizards (I think I've already hinted at that). Bah, I haven't even gotten the chance to Quest yet and there's already a unique item I want to buy. How much for it, Flare? (Surely you won't let bias from me picking on you in CAT affect your decision? ) Send me a PM with an offer, or make an IC offer. (and yes I'm never going to forgive you ) Quote
Kintobor Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Kadabra, I probably would have bought that mask off you for triple, maybe quadruple the amount you sold it to Benji for. Just as a heads up. Quote

Eh, seeing as it doesn't actually grant stat bonuses I valued it between trash and 10 GP, so I was pretty happy with 20. Quote

Kadabra Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Heh, I guess you could say that. I like to think it was 'practical', but Doc's hardly a bad guy to emulate. Quote
