Khorne Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Cool effect, Etzel. I agree. The entire Quest has been very entertaining and fun to read so far. The builds and nice stories accompagnying the Quest make it stand out . Quote
swils Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 It's kind of funny: the same details that I've managed to read once and then neglect at a later point, are the same types of details that I'm a fan of using when putting together my own adventures. Maybe I'll have to emphasize the importance of taking notes, if I ever get around to hosting, heh. Quote

If you get around to hosting and I end up on the Quest, you'll have to put double effort into hiding those details, I tend to pick up on them more easily than most. TV Tropes will ruin your life. TV Tropes will ruin your life. Guess what I've got like 20 tabs of open right now? It most certainly does ruin your life, and your vocabulary too. I've been lucky enough to avoid that symptom... for now. Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Etzel, I'll be gona again ( ) until tomorrow evening. If the quest needs moving along, Tammo can take over for a that bit of time. Sorry, again. This time of year is nuts. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 (edited) I hope we get a Christmas/Yuletide merchant in the Marketplace as I missed Elphaba. Edited December 9, 2011 by UsernameMDM Quote

Bricksandparts Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Sandy, can Users gather random Items that are worth nothing, but may be useful in quests? For example, Could I collect random sticks to use to make a fire in a quest? And can I make some WP: 0 weapons just to make a battle like a training battle? For example: (Alf finds a strong stick. Alf collects Item: Strong Stick (WP: O))? Quote
Bricksandparts Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 "Well try not to burn down a building." She laughs and then gives him a kiss. "Would you like to do something fun before you go?" "Okay let's do that then." She smiled at him. "Is there anything you want to do?" Quote
Flipz Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 I hope we get a Christmas/Yuletide merchant in the Marketplace as I missed Elphaba. I hope it opens before the Quest leaves! Well, if it doesn't, I'm sure Brickdoctor will find a way to sneak in a few festive items. Quote
K-Nut Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 I think Masked left out an "else" in there. I hope it opens before the Quest leaves! Well, if it doesn't, I'm sure Brickdoctor will find a way to sneak in a few festive items. Don't forget that Doc did the Trick or Treating thing! For people in Quest #17, don't expect a stroll in the park! Althior won't be so easy on you guys! Quote

For people in Quest #17, don't expect a stroll in the park! Althior won't be so easy on you guys! Considering you're Level 14 and I'm just Level 1 (and most of the challenges will be catered to the high-levels), I'm not expecting a walk in the park. And hey, wouldn't Althior go easier on a fellow Mage? Especially one that managed to take down a Barbarian eight levels higher than him... Quote

Arthur: "I don't know about you, but I'm getting all funned out." Althior: "Uh-oh." Arthur: "Don't tell me. We're about to have to fight a HUGE army." Althoir: "Yep." Arthur: "Sharp swords and thick armor?" Althior: "Most likely." Arthur:"Bring it on." Arthur (as battle starts): "BOO-YEEEAAAAAAAAHH!!! WHOOOOO!!!" Edited December 9, 2011 by Flipz Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Alf walks to the Smith and Lays down some items. Alf upgrades 3 of his stones and a stick to (WP: 0) and sees a sign. X4 Rock - Can be changed into Throwing rock (WP: 0) if used at a Smith. X8 Stick - Can be changed into Training Stick (WP: 0) if used at a Smith. In seeing this, Alf figured to get the four weapons upgraded (for 0 Coins... 0X10). X3 Throwing Rock - WP: 1, ranged weapon, retrievable, suitable for All classes. X1 Training Stick - WP: 1, suitable for All classes. Actually the math would have you paying 40 gold, 10 for each weapon, since you upgrade to level 1 1x10=10 Gold. Also while I admire you're creativity I'm not sure if we want people to just create weapons out of thin air outside of quests. It would be like a rogue finally having access to free ranged ammo when ever they wanted and since hitting power is equal to WP+level, a level 12 rogue could potentially have a power of 12 at range for free. Besides, wouldn't Sandy have to authorize loot in the hall? (That's why I didn't add anything to my inventory in my sig.) Quote
Brickdoctor Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 I don't think there can be loot created by anyone other than the current QMs (and then only in their quests) or by Sandy. And like I said before, you guys could always play your Hall battles over PM. It would make things a lot neater. Quote

Yeah, it worked out well in PMs, IDK why it moved back to the hall for Spag's fights. Maybe he doesn't have enough posts to PM? *is too lazy to check* Oh, and my condolences on your death. Quote

Sandy Posted December 10, 2011 Author Posted December 10, 2011 I hope we get a Christmas/Yuletide merchant in the Marketplace as I missed Elphaba. I have not planned for one, but maybe I can come up with something. Sandy, can Users gather random Items that are worth nothing, but may be useful in quests? For example, Could I collect random sticks to use to make a fire in a quest? And can I make some WP: 0 weapons just to make a battle like a training battle? For example: (Alf finds a strong stick. Alf collects Item: Strong Stick (WP: O))? No, please do not add your own items into the game if you're not hosting a quest. They will only confuse the system. I don't want people coming to me with questions like "I got this strong stick, what can I do with it?". I am willing to accept the faux battles in the Heroica Hall AS LONG AS NOBODY GAINS ANYTHING FROM THEM. If people start making up their own rewards, I will have to ban these battles. Like I said, there will be a PvP arena opening some time in the future that will have rewards for the battles, so please wait for it. Quote
Fred Daniel Yam Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 If there is pvp, I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of Tesni's blade. Quote
Khorne Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 I love the LEGO Heroica RPG board you made for our Quest, Sandy. It's nice to see the actual game tied in with the online RPG. The black 'fog of war' reminds me of games like Age of Empires/Mythology . Great Quest so far . Quote
