Flipz Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Why don't you start with the first quest, before making big plans for the third and up, Flipz? You make it seem like I have nothing better to do... Fine... I'll whip something up soon. First is basically ready, save for sets. Quote
Duvors Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I suddenly have the idea to have a party go back in time, and due to the time travel, are forced to use older rules before we started revising the game. Starting with the third Quest in line and continuing to the finale, several of my Quests will feature playable flashbacks. At least two of these are set in pre-CAT days, and I'm already working on tweaking the CAT ability system for those specific Quests (for example, Venoms are all applied directly to an enemy, rather than being used on weapons, Hide and Meditate become attack options instead of Miss rolls, etc.). I just love hearing the QM's plot. I wonder If I can get in on one of Flipz's quests. Quote
Flare Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 First is basically ready, save for sets. Then its not ready at all. Quote
Palathadric Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 I've been working on sets for so long that I've forgotten what my quest was all about. Quote
Flare Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Quest 42 I have no information for this quest, Flare. I would really appreciate it if you took the time to throw something together, as you are in the same boat as Scuba (no quest hosting/that you're on, CAT is over... as Scuba put it, what have you got better to do ). I have it mostly finished but I sort of forgot I'll try to finish it and send it to you today! I have a question though. Are you organizing this alphabetically or quest-wise? Quote

Are you organizing this alphabetically or quest-wise? I believe it's still done by Quest, with an alphabetical link index in the first post (a la Hero Statistics). Quote
Zepher Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 There are no longer any links, you can find the quest on your own. I don't want to crash the site - reformating that post would probably finish me. I'm slowly removing the links, but you should be able to still figure it out pretty easily. Maybe I'll put a guide at the top of the page: Quest #-# page 1, Page #-# page 2, etc. That will make it even easier. Quote

OK, because on your third post (or second depending on how your counting) the title is B, not Quest #2 Quote
Zepher Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 I was originally going to alphabetize it, but Sandy presented a better solution, and I reverted it back to what I converted it to originally. The B is the last vestige of the transition. It will be fixed shortly. Quote
Sandy Posted September 24, 2013 Author Posted September 24, 2013 With C.A.T. over and done with, I can finally pitch my latest quest. If you've ever wanted to share an adventure with Byblos, now is your chance! Quote
Flipz Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Noooooo--! Don't think we'll be done by then. Quote

Sandy Posted September 24, 2013 Author Posted September 24, 2013 Super interested. Roughly how long do you expect 85 to take? There's a few sidepaths to take, so it's hard to estimate, but the main story includes three battles. There can be many more, though, depending on the choices you make during the quest. And yes, it is Part II of the Pandemonicon storyarch. Quote

It sounds epic. Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Just so you all know, I'm not trying to take up two spaces on Quest 85. I only made Hoptet sign up for roleplaying purposes, thinking it is about time he signed up for a Quest! Quote
Scubacarrot Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Uhhh I want to meet the Masked Man AND go slay demons with Byblos and an evil book in the desert... Quote
Kadabra Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 That sounds amazing! I'm torn between building better ties with the Hinckwells and getting in on that epic sounding Quest! Quote
Kintobor Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 (edited) Surprisingly not interested in #85. It looks like a fun quest, but after 79, I think Karie's all demoned out for now. No one wants to help solve a murder mystery now that Byblos has walked in? Edited September 24, 2013 by Kintobor Quote

Scubacarrot Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Kintobor, I'd have signed up, but those Hinckwells, man. The one Guts met was a complete dick... Also, you said it was an investigation, after 72, I'm kinda investigated out for a while. Quote

I wouldn't sign up for Quest 84 if I were you, because if I get on it I shall do everything in my power to get Shadeaux rep! Edited September 24, 2013 by Professor Flitwick Quote

Also, you said it was an investigation, after 72, I'm kinda investigated out for a while. The Hinckwells are actually the victims this time around, and there's little interaction with them. If anything, there's a lot of Town Watch interaction, as well as some Syndicate interaction, for those who want to meet the shadier side of the Town Watch. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 I think Adeline and Scheherazade need to perform an intervention... Old Bybs is looking a little ill... Quote
JimBee Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 On Dual Strike weapons: Yes, hastened heroes can attack four enemies (but technically only target two). Sandy allowed me to pick both enemies of my dual strike weapon in Quest 50. It would go like this: Use Dual Weapon on Enemy A and Enemy B, then Enemy C and enemy D. Only enemies A and C would be targeted, and the die would only be rolled twice total (a hit on A = same damage to B). Quote
