Endgame Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 So if muscles and organs are useless to him, what kind of disease could possibly have any impact on him? He once was almost a perfect mimic of humanity, until he began to decay. I figured that my roleplaying for him would be more important then his biology. Also, Mummy's Rot is just a weird ailment, maybe? Quote
Kintobor Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 From Quest #78: "Mummy Rot. This isn't good. You're hands infected, badly. If left untreated, you could potentially lose your hand. The virus is more likely to infect undead, particularly resurrects, than it is to infect the living, although the symptoms are slightly different. It occurs when one's come into contact with undead, but the lot back there wouldn't have allowed it to fester for too long, allowing the symptoms to show up. As dire as this is, you're in luck. We've caught it before it's done too much damage. However, you're going to need to find the root of a rare herb, a Sunset Shimmer, found occasionally in the forest. If you can bring it to me, I can brew you a remedy for it. Quote
CMP Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 I figured that my roleplaying for him would be more important then his biology. Or lack thereof. Quote
Kintobor Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 The name of the virus comes from DnD. The name of the herb... well, I'll let the community answer that one. Quote
Endgame Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Why are we questioning the biology of a vaguely humanoid character of mine when I created PROGGS? The young ones in 70 even said they ate bricks whole, for heaven's sake! Quote
CMP Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 From Quest #78: My question is just how an infectious disease does anything to an undead, not what it does. Like, what kind of damage could it do to dead skin tissue and bones? The young ones in 70 even said they ate bricks whole, for heaven's sake! Oh, those crazy kids. Quote
Kadabra Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Hard to ward off disease when you don't have an immune system, I suppose. Quote
Kintobor Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Sandy, can we get an estimate as to when Elphaba will be rolling in again? It should be soon. right? Quote
CMP Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Sandy, can we get an estimate as to when Elphaba will be rolling in again? It should be soon. right? I believe it's usually a Halloween thing. Quote
Kadabra Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Karie meanders over to the quest board, snatching up the pen, her new cat following closely behind her. "Hmm, demons, reporters, murder, blah blah blah... retrieving stolen wares? This sounds simple enough." Karie signs up for Quest #84. Hinckwell rep! Mwahahahahaha! Quote
Duvors Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 The name of the virus comes from DnD. The name of the herb... well, I'll let the community answer that one. MLP? Quote
JimBee Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 About time Thalion was PL. I'm pumped for this quest, roleplaying ahoy! Quote
Zepher Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 (edited) I want to go on a CMP quest so badly. I'm so conflicted - how do I finish up a story while also getting to be hosted by all the QMs I want to be hosted by. I want to continue this BD story, finish Strivvi, pursue Baba, I'm longing for another WBD quest, and I REALLY want to be hosted by CMP and Kintober and I think Flipz has one in the works that would appeal to me. But yes, that party looks fantastic. Thalion is an awesome character. And we have Guts and Hybros together. AND Guts and Maurice together. Edited September 25, 2013 by Zepher Quote
Flipz Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 (edited) I want to go on a CMP quest so badly. But yes, that party looks fantastic. Thalion is an awesome character. And we have Guts and Hybros together. AND Guts and Maurice together. Aww, I wanted Thalion! (Though I really can't complain, considering that I'm still waiting on sets and will likely be continuing to do so until 77 is over. ) I do have that really conflicted feeling about 85, though--I'd really, really like to get on it if it's at all possible. Perhaps storms on the Crystalline Sea could delay the departure of 85 by a few weeks? I think Boomers would enjoy what I have in store for the Cathedral, though I should warn that it's another open-environment Quest like 72 and 77--though unlike those two, it's less about "where do I go to advance 'the' plot?" and more about "which characters' plotlines do I want to follow?". If you recall that writing project you recruited me to about a year ago, it somewhat borrows that form of plot development. I wouldn't dream of trying to compete with Scuba for you, though--Strivvi is just too hard of a hitter to try to go up against. Edited September 25, 2013 by Flipz Quote
Zepher Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Do the followers of Ennoc (and other members of the Pantheon) believe in an afterlife? Anyone? Quote
Endgame Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 I'll probably wait for 69 to end before I launch 81. Speaking of which, I can confirm Punii and Beatrice will be appearing in 81! ...though one character will serve a very different role from its other appearances. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Endgame, please attempt to kill at least 1 of the good NPCs in quest 81. Not like in a battle, more like a sacrifice or a planned trap. There weren't really any important deaths in 48. Let's see, there was the guard at the start and some people at that house, but that's all I remeber. Quote
Endgame Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 This is my final arc. People are going to die. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Cool. Not for the characters, but for the story arc. Do you have some super-de-duperdy boss battle planned at the end? Quote
Endgame Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 You think I'm going to have The Regret as a villain and have you guys not face off with him? Quote
Bricksandparts Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Oh, of course I knew that, but is the battle gonna be in stages? Like with puzzles or mini-battles? Also, about how much of the quest is boss-battles? Last time about 75% boss battles. Quote
Endgame Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 I'm not going to spoil the Grand Finale. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Fine... Be that way! I bet the whole quest is the grandfinale... Quote
