Flipz Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Dear god, Pie...and I didn't think you could make Hybros any more broken. Quote
CMP Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Dear god, Pie...and I didn't think you could make Hybros any more broken. Huh? He's already immune to cursed, all this'll do is give him Intimidation. Which, come on, he's like a pint-sized Grim Reaper, he's pretty intimidating already. Quote
Scorpiox Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Oh dear Lord... hastened Assassin with a dual-strike weapon. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 (edited) Kintobor, three Grand Tonics should be 90 gold, not 30 gold. You only paid for the one. Also I noticed Tesni upgraded her armour, I didn't think this was allowed for armour, just weapons and shields? Edited October 1, 2013 by Rumble Strike Quote
Kintobor Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 I was looking at the price of grand potions. I'll fix that shortly. Quote

Yeah, I just want the Hat to free up my accessory spot. Plus Intimidation is nice. Oh dear Lord... hastened Assassin with a dual-strike weapon. Yes? Hybros used that strategy, in combination with the Banana Bladerang, as far back as before Quest 50. Quote
Kintobor Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Benji grins at his friend. "I appreciate your humor mate but I think I need a short break from intense questing, I'm going to stay in the hall for now to relax, methinks... plus, I've got some new equipment I have experimented with yet..." He slowly pulls out the Trickster's mask of the gender swap and starts looking at it, trying to decide if he should test it out or not, or maybe he should sell it to Karie Alderflask, because she's related to Violetta, and the next best thing to Violetta is Violetta's adorable, awesome sister. Fixed it for you, Flare. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 One of these days I'll get a useful item. Or so I keep telling myself. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 One of these days I'll get a useful item. Or so I keep telling myself. Dancing Shoes aren't useful? Quote
Flare Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Fixed it for you, Flare. You are so funny You're not getting this from me, sorry One of these days I'll get a useful item. Or so I keep telling myself. Dude. You already have like. Every single item you own is useful. Stop being so ungrateful. Quote
Kintobor Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 "Mhm... its supposed to be Gender-Swapping mask... dunno if it actually works... seem a bit tense to try it out..." Benji looks around anxiously hoping that Karie Alderflask wasn't around to swipe it, since she was the self proclaimed Greatest Pickpocket in the World, and rightfully so. Keep them coming Flare! Flare Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Keep them coming Flare! I'm going to burn it just to make you shut up Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Dude. You already have like. Every single item you own is useful. Stop being so ungrateful. To be fair, almost the majority of Gut's equipment has never been specifically unique to his build. Gut's dancing shoes have only become so after serious imbuement, the armor is pretty much equal to anything in the market-place, and the gloves are readily available in the marketplace as well. Some QM's are just better (whether for good or ilk) at designing equipment drops for their players specific builds in a meta-gamy sort of way. I wouldn't say Guts is the only one out there in the same situation though, so he may not be alone as he thinks he is. Out of curiosity, do most people design loot (either new consumables or special weapons/artifacts) before or during a quest, i.e. does the class/level/current inventory of your party determine what your enemies drop? UsernameMDM Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Release the titan already! Woohooooo!!! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Evidently, next time I go to the Fields, I've got to make sure I bring a more offensively-focused team. (Does that rule me out? ) Quote
Sandy Posted October 1, 2013 Author Posted October 1, 2013 Also I noticed Tesni upgraded her armour, I didn't think this was allowed for armour, just weapons and shields? I already asked her to take the upgrade back. I don't know why she didn't edit the post, though... Quote
Zepher Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 (edited) She generally comes on Halloween. WBD - As with enemies, I always design drops before I pick my party. And Scuba, I'm in the same boat as you, none of my weapons or items are particularly good for my build. Edited October 1, 2013 by Zepher Quote
JimBee Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 One of these days I'll get a useful item. Or so I keep telling myself. I don't get why the Hat would be of any use to you. All it would add would be immunity to cursed, which isn't a big deal unless you have Golden Armor or some other such thing. It's not like the Hat is specific to Guts' build, either. To be fair, almost the majority of Gut's equipment has never been specifically unique to his build. Gut's dancing shoes have only become so after serious imbuement, the armor is pretty much equal to anything in the market-place, and the gloves are readily available in the marketplace as well. Out of curiosity, do most people design loot (either new consumables or special weapons/artifacts) before or during a quest, i.e. does the class/level/current inventory of your party determine what your enemies drop? I disagree, Just because an item isn't designed specifically for your class or build, doesn't mean it isn't useful. Raider is a pretty straightforward class: deal as much damage as possible. Gold-stealing helps with buffing in order to do that. As it is, Guts has the most powerful weapon in the game, is immune to everything, etc., etc. And he was never at any shortage of gold; I remember before Raider was nerfed he gained 2000+ gold in one roll. The Dancing Shoes are an incredibly powerful item. And back to class-specific artifacts and items, and because Raider is simple, the only artifacts that would tie to that are Barbarian Boots or Sticky Gloves. I just don't see what there is to complain about when you have the strongest character in the game. Besides, this is only the beginning of the quest, maybe something cool will show up later. Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Oh, so NOW he's being all civil about it? Shuddup, you've never come between me and Shadeaux rex it's called character development! Quote

My point wasn't so much concerned with item usefulness as it was tailored usefulness. Everyone likes that moment when they see an item and they know that the item was just "made" for their character. Pyrovisionary Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 I generally thought that one should make their build around the items they have. As to maximize efficiency. Or something like that.... Quote

Kintobor Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 (edited) I have yet to put that Paper Doll to effect, but come level 20, Karie is hex free, so nananananana all you QM's! I think I'm one of the few people here who looks at the role play aspect of their loot. Why is the Oculoid Palm cooler than some other whip? Because it's a severed tentacle of an octopus demon that wraps around its user's arm and when not in use mimics a tattoo. Want! That's the norm, doesn't mean one can't be hopeful for that one special item though. coughMaskoftheGenderSwapcough I'm not harassing you, Flare, I understand why you're holding onto it. I've just found something I find great joy in poking fun at! Edited October 1, 2013 by Kintobor Quote

And I've got a pair of claws bought from a dodgy (Sorry flare but a crocodile man is about as suspicious as you can get) bloke down the pub (The saloon) that, guess what, you can shave with. I just need to rename Sarge Zoidberg now.... But I still want someone to make a dual pair of hollow hidden hook-wristblades like in assassin's creed. Then I need a sawn-off crossbow.
