Well you are the poster child for Rogues, you are going to be better than the likes of us common rogues. You were the first person to join the topic, and Atramor's introduction actually used pictures. Not to mention your iconic chicken.

Thanks, that means a lot. :cry_happy: I still think you and Hybros would make the best Rogue team, though.

Whatever happened to the iconic Finnegan?

I am very iconic if I may say so!

Wow. I should change my username to Two-Face!

I concur. Atramor is a great character. The definite Rogue. He's part of the reason I chose to be a Barbarian instead of a Rogue. At first I was going to reuse my old RPG character Bran O'Brien again. But there was no way I would be able to top Atramor (and his chicken  ), though. Plus, the two characters would end up being too similar to each other  .

Still, I like the De'kre and Hybros type of Rogues too. The not so drinky, darker and more mysterious types.

Was that your inspiration for Ezekiel Drake (in the Library)? I thought he looked eerily similar to Atramor, in both personality and hat choice. I always kind of wondered what would happen if the 2 met....a showdown to end all showdowns, surely.

Really? I...really? Well I suppose De'kra's character development has helped in that regard.

True he has made quite a scene, but the blue spirit wasn't an original part of Althior's arsenal. Or Zuko's. However, this Tyrannosaurus Rex of the modern era was with Atramor from the beginning.

Atramor might've had some faint influence on Ezekiel appearance and character. Only slightly, though. I actually wanted to make a fantasy/medieval version of Indiana Jones  . A fedora would fit his style, so I went with the most awesome and over-the-top hat LEGO offered, which is the wide brimmed hat. It just looks so good  . I meant for Ezekiel to have a bit of a scruffy appearance to reflect his wandering lifestyle, travelling all over the world to learn about other cultures (and procure so valuable loot in the process  ). A further link to Indiana Jones could be seen, as Ezekiel is also a teacher (at the Heroica University). But yes, you are right, a meeting of the two would be a dark day indeed. Chaos would ensue for sure  .

I have had some contact with my brother via email, and he is using the face that Atramor uses for his Heroica character, though the print on this face is worn in such a way that it looks more serious. So, the similarities to Atramor continue!

I meant in comparison to your Bran O'Brien character (though I can't tell, since your link is broken.) Though I do now see the Indian Jones influence. And yes, it would be a mad duel between the 2.

Can you ask him to change it, pretty pretty please? Not to be annoying or anything, but I'd kind of like if characters were relatively unique. (McCafferey doesn't count. )

Aw, Sandy, a game board and fogged out areas? Way to hog all the good mechanics for yourself! Guess I'll just have to make my layout look especially awesome.

"I'm uh Guts Holla! (), I'm the heavy one of the group, I take the fire and crush scum like those rebels. We was all hired seperatly, I was hired in the tavern in Eubric."

Haldor makes a show of kicking a crate to make his story beliveable.

Turning to the guards Skrall addresses them, "Me name Cronk. Cronk hired to poke evil rebels with pointy arrows. Cronk loves to poke evil! Have nice guards seen any evil rebels? How big is factory, Cronk never seen factory before? Many workers?"

...Commander, look at your men. Now back at me. Now back to your men, now back at me. Sadly, they aren't me, but if they stopped using that pathetic training manual and listened to Mr. Rone for a bit, he could look like he's me. Look down, now back at me. You're on a training floor with the amasing soldier your men could look like. What's in your hand, back at me. I have it, it's a hand with two things you love. Look again, the things are now weapons. Anything is possible when you men look like soldiers and not ladies!

Yeah, I hope De'kra and Hybros go on a quest together sometime. That'd be interesting.

I was thinking of those

Scruffy face...too bad you don't have Arthur's face, it's a nice mix between scruffy and friendly. Although, the face you used turned out pretty well...where is it from?

Thanks, that means a lot. :cry_happy: I still think you and Hybros would make the best Rogue team, though.

Hehe, all three of you are on my evil list of Heroica players/characters to corrupt to the Dark Side convince to join my Star Trek RPG if I ever get it up here. (It'll take a MASSIVE Bricklink order to be able to build the sets, tho, ST uses a LOT of gray and white! )

Despite what anyone in this particular forum may tell you (I'm looking at Bob_, though I know he's not here) I'm not a huge Star Trek fan. But, hey, I wasn't a big Lord of the Rings fan before I learned anything about it, so I'm gonna have to give it a shot. Most of my attitude towards it stems from being a Star Wars fan, so... Will it be anything like this RPG, or with more/less roleplaying involved?

Well, it's generally just roleplaying-oriented, but I may make some changes (especially considering that my players aren't picking up on cues quick enough, hopefully a more structured system will help). [To explain further, I had a mechanic in place involving some minigames for challenges, but it was too cumbersome and fell apart, so I'm improvising to find what I need structurally.] TL;DR, the story is very much detailed, the system...could use some improvement.

Want to hear the full explanaion?? Hoo boy, OK, here goes.

The PCG started out as a Star Trek fan building group on the LU Creation Lab. At first we just built ships, but over the years we changed, we set up a Council and Fleets, and then someone had the idea to do a story. Long (and epic) story short, it was a hit, the PCG became literally the biggest group on the Creation Lab overnight. We got flooded with new users. That's when it happened: we became a bureaucracy, we developed a chronology, and people started to become "enemies" of the PCG. We morphed into a story group as much as a building group. Now, we were (and are) pretty darn good at both, but...stuff happened. We attracted trolls. And as a result of a few flame wars, we're now more about story than building, because that's what we had to do to survive.

Flash-forward to the present. I (as the eldest and longest-served remaining Council member) am looking for ways to revitalize the group. We're going strong, and we're all friends, but there was no new blood. So, I started what I thought would be a little "origin story" for the PCG, and I set to work lining up all the other stories into a logical canon that would both mesh with existing canon but at the same time not bog everyone down with details. (The Lego Universe environment made that far easier than it would have been.) This story (like pretty much all stories I've ever written) turned into an epic-length plotline, with layers upon layers of different interactions and backstory. I realized I'd never be able to reveal this in the story itself, and at the same time there were little plot holes that needed plugging--just the kind a RPG campaign could patch. I realized that by attaching an RPG to my story, I could revitalize the PCG, recruit more Lego fans, finish my story, and have material for any number of sequels, all in one fell swoop. Thus, Star Trek: PCG: Brave New Souls was born.

Now, the site I started BNS on had a ton of experienced roleplayers (of the non-stat-system sort); however, I somehow managed to attract either the experienced roleplayers who knew nothing of Star Trek, or the users who had never roleplayed before but were HUGE Trek fans. It's been difficult to balance, but it's a heck of a lot of fun. When I joined another site with a large roleplaying base (one to which many of the PCG-ers who left for their Dark Age had migrated), they've also jumped in, and I'm having a lot of fun with it. The only problem is, I need structure, especially because I'm having to create new NPCs on the spot to explain things (example: to explain one player's lack of knowledge about ST technology, one of his characters knows nothing about the tech, and I had to come up with a character to explain it to them (since the Chief Engineer is strolling about the ship for a story reason).).

So yes, any suggestions would be welcome, and I'd love to know if you guys think bringing the RPG to EuroBricks would be a good idea.

(And if anyone wants to see the RPG on the original sites, I'll PM the link, I don't want to break site rules on link-posting. )

Jeez, that sounds awesome. *oh2* You need to get staff approval to go through it (I believe you should PM Dragonator on it) but it looks very interesting. I definately look forward to joining it if it gets posted.

The most fun part is, if the building group, I'm essentially God as well, since no one else has bothered to try and keep things straight. So if I need to tweak backstory for the RPG, I can do it.

Yeah, I think I'll do that, but I'll DEFINITELY need building help. I have some LDD files of some sets, heck, I've even built most of the main cast in minifig form, but I don't have NEARLY enough brick to do it. Ruins? I can do. Caves? Sure. Forests? Check. Underwater? Yep. Surface of the Moon? I have the baseplates. City? Ehh...in a pinch. But building in D&D/LotR-era fantasy and sci-fi (my two favorite types of fiction)? ZOMG HELP ME!!

Sounds a bit more organized than the TBRPGs I work in outside of Eurobricks. We are a group of really four members, with a bunch of people who join for a week and then quit. When I first joined the topic starter and the moderator quit, leaving me and the only other member still active to be promoted into moderators. And thus three hundred pages of utter madness went by. But at least we improved, and we managed to get some devoted players and a few equally popular spinoffs. Okay by a few I mean five, with one being a prequel, one being a story within the story of the prequel, one being a sequel to the main story, one being an alternate reality of the prequel, and one being an evolution game that takes place in a different reality from the original, with some crossovers. And our wiki does nothing to make sorting through it easier. Still, at least we are devoted. The Evo game is two years old and still ongoing, while the original ran for three years until 10/15/11, when we closed because new players were too intimidated by its 360 pages worth of posts.

I am curious to see where De'kra goes with this quest to save his allies from Rome Ant Icism. I just worry that in order to stay in character, De'kra is going to end up buying tons of Remedies. The most he can buy is two right now, but that will still empty out all but eight gold of his funds. Which will hurt him on his next quest. But who knows, maybe he won't go there yet.

Sorry, but I just love this quote! I had to add it to my sig, and maybe later to my about me page!

Tanma, are you involved in Space Wars? That sounds awfully familiar to me...

(We actually tried to do a reboot Space Wars on the forum where BNS started, but...well, let's just say the timing was off and leave it at that, shall we? )

EDIT: I just looked at my own post in the Hall. Good lord, did I actually write all that?! Why can't that happen with my term papers?!?

No, I have never heard of that. We really have no names for ourselves aside from the Terran RPGs, since three of our topics took place on Earth(post apocolyptic), one took place on a world seeded with some Earth life(the evo game and my favorite), and the other two have cameos of Earth life. But yeah we rarely have wars(since I am horrible at it) though three of them do take place in space. We are run on the Sporum, the site for that Spore video game, though honestly we have barely any elements of Spore left. The only Spore features remaining are a caste of farmers with E-DNA, and a Grox from a one shot parallel universe.

So are any official images of the aoi aviliable? I know they are blue and I think they are humanoid, but there is a difference between Legolas humanoid and Troll humanoid.
