Dragonfire Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 I'm not really sure what Avalanche is like as a character yet, since I've only just started roleplaying him. Any tips on how to create a believable and realistic character? (I've already looked at the Theatre). What I do know about Avalanche so far: he's pretty young for a yeti and enthusiastic about his first quest; as a yeti, he's going to get uneasiness and disdain from fellow quest members and he takes offence easily at unthoughtful or rude comments. I'm not sure how he'd handle a fight though...but I'm soon going to find out! Quote

All I can say is this: Before your character makes a remark, any kind of remark, think: "How can I reflect my character's personality in this sentence?" It's what I do. Quote
CMP Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Quest 85 wasn't delayed... There was no reason for it to be, plenty of heroes signed up. Quote

Generally I would say this: Don't have a 100% polite, helpful and smiling character. We already have too many of those. Edited October 6, 2013 by Pyrovisionary Quote
Endgame Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 I'm just hoping there wouldn't be a quest drought. We had 5 quests at once, hopefully they'll be another coming soon enough to pick up all of us wayward heroes. Quote

No spoilers this time! Quote
Flipz Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 There was no reason for it to be, plenty of heroes signed up. I know, it's just...I've been waiting a LONG time to Quest with Byblos (you've heard me ask every time before I signed up for a Quest, "will I get back in time for Byblos?"), and then it gets offered when I'm not in the Hall. Just...disappointing, you know? Quote

Kintobor Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 The boss monster you spoiled to me that I accidentally stomped into pieces. She's not until the one after that one, actually. And the preliminary title for it is "Auld Acquaintance". I will say though my next quest is called "Alfendi Lupine Strikes Again!" Quote
Endgame Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Ah, no, I was referring to the iron Knuckle. Quote
Kintobor Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 (edited) Ah, no, I was referring to the iron Knuckle. *grumblegrumble* No, she surprisingly won't show up. I'm not sure what to do with her since she was originally supposed to get killed off, but I guarantee you Heroica hasn't seen the last of Lydia. Edited October 6, 2013 by Kintobor Quote
Pandora Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 (OCC; There, I've given battle orders for two round at least, will you be quiet and run the round now?) Let me make this very plain Lord Duvors (and please note that I speak here as a forum Moderator): please be polite in your interactions on the forum, especially to people who are being kind enough to host you on a Heroica Quest. There have been several instances where you have been rude or unpleasant within the Heroica forum and it has not gone unnoticed. I would not wish to remove you from the forums for a private conversation whilst you are on a quest, but if you persist in being rude, I will. I look forward to you interacting with your host and fellow players in a more friendly way when you are Out Of Character. Thank you. Quote
Palathadric Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Bah they're fakes! Wait, the only one I can think of right now who has actually fought is Masson and he's just a digital illusion preying on Karie's weak mind. Besides, I won't accept the fact that Masson was trained under the Copper Fox to actually be a Paragon, so he is certainly just a fake. Quote
Endgame Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 (edited) Not all Paragons have been trained by the Copper Fox, nor is he the first. Masson is starting to seem suspiciously like Batman. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Who says you can't downgrade Masson? Not in anyway that involves sexual interests though. Because that is silly. He's getting stronger, not weaker. Plus he has a super awesome katana now that can slash through steel. I'm getting disturbed how many OOC references to how good Masson is outside of battle. Edited October 6, 2013 by Endgame Quote
CMP Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 His gaze had been caught by a beautiful brown-haired woman. Sadly that oaf Johon was talking to her already. He strolled to the bar to get another drink, all casual, but trying to catch the stranger's eye. Tarn's insatiable lust is going to get him killed one of these days, mark my words. Quote
Endgame Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 (edited) Princesses too good for him, huh? The great thing about playing an undead character is that you're immune to the lust plague. Edited October 6, 2013 by Endgame Quote

Endgame Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 (edited) Undead biology is tough, okay? I have pretty much gotten soul architecture down pat, however. Edited October 6, 2013 by Endgame Quote
Kintobor Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 *ahem* Masson in Syndicate purple, Octavyn in casual, and Karie in Syndicate blue. Who's fake again? Quote
Cutcobra Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Wait... was the blue Syndicate member with the rapier a reference to Karie? Quote
Palathadric Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 What would have been an inviting room had turned into a morgue, as three bloodied bodies lay about the room, each one as gruesome as the last. Paolo, covers his mouth at the sight and smell, and Falner takes a second to look away. The parties begin to churn at the sight. Not even the strongest of men could look upon the incident without flinching. I looked without flinching, what does that make me? Come on, the minifigs heads aren't even separated from their torsos, muchless any other body party. Gah! Those kinds of scenes are heartrending. Quote
Kintobor Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 (edited) Wait... was the blue Syndicate member with the rapier a reference to Karie? ... Maybe. You won't see her again though. Chronologically, this takes place the day before 81 and 84, so it gives Karie enough time to show up for that two second, silent cameo. She won't be showing up again, though. I looked without flinching, what does that make me? Come on, the minifigs heads aren't even separated from their torsos, muchless any other body party. Gah! Those kinds of scenes are heartrending. That males you a terrible person. I know, but how am I supposed to show a minifig's neck slit and a bludgeon to the cranium with Lego? At least I got the knife in the back. I knows, Pala. Palathadric Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Who's fake again? The one in the middle. Quote
Endgame Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 (edited) That lady on the right is clearly an impostor - where is the white makeup?! The one in the middle. Because spiting Heroica's first Paragon NPC is a great idea. Edited October 6, 2013 by Endgame Quote
