Flipz Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 (edited) Wow, first they tax everybody and then make thesmelves sound like total hypocrites? Must be some really good bread. The Wolfgang simply fail horribly at being sympathetic. Edited October 9, 2013 by Flipz Quote
Kintobor Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 The Wolfgang simply fail horribly at being sympathetic. Not really. Ulric is very left winged, it seems. He's taxing the organizations that have money to benefit the poor. As it stands, it seems Eubric doesn't even have taxes. I think Ulric knows what his vision is, he's just terrible at implementing it. Quote

That bloke with the hat (nice look, by the way) has some nerve, going into the poorest part of town where no-one has any money or food and saying: "Hey, we've got a load of bread here... but you can't have it unless you pay your taxes!" Bit of a Catch-22 situation there, eh? Quote
Endgame Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Seriously, I'm hoping someone calls them out on the hypocritical thing, though. There really isn't a counter-arguement against it. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 I thought you were the next generation! Sorry, that wasn't clear; I was trying to refer to the next generation of games and gaming devices. Yes, I suppose I am the next generation. (But I do have clear memories of being amazed by the fact that I could play a game like Snake on a phone when my parents first got the Nokias that could run it.) Quote

Endgame Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Oh, of course - You have to eat your propoganda before you eat your bread. But I'm saying there really isn't an excuse for making a law that damns the entirety of your legion, and I hope someone points that out to the tophatted gentleman. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Damn socialist commies destroying 'Eubruc and all it stands for! Oh, of course - You have to eat your propoganda before you eat your bread. Wouldn't surprise me if that was the point, just that the rank and file of the Wolfgang would be too stupid to realize it. Quote

I think Ulric has already stated that eventually the criminals are going to have to go, I think this law is pretty evident of that. Quote
Endgame Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Exactly - so actually point it out to the poor and the rank and file. The ensuing chaos would be glorious. Quote

For some reason people never actually take what the heroes say for granted, and ALWAYS underestimate them. I for one would like to see some enemies that would say: "uh.... Yeah, you're probably going to murder us horribly in a few rounds, we'll just leave" Quote

And free bread apparently. Quote
Endgame Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Well, the almighty Railroad Guards are usually pretty otugh. Not sure why they don't guard the bosses. With the Wolfgang's finest generals put down, though, I hope things start reaching a head soon. It'd jus tbe downright weird if we started encountering mooks that are stronger then Violetta, Donny, or Steerpike. Quote
Zepher Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 (edited) NPC index updated! Along with the 50ers added (that's a pretty nice number, right?!) the October NPCs have also added, all nominated by CMP. EDIT: I love Hybros' and Guts' relationships. I can't tell if they trust each other, distrust each other, hate each other, are friend, or all of the above. Edited October 9, 2013 by Zepher Quote
JimBee Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 So did/will the Quest 82 heroes get two increased reputation scores for the Guild of Invision? Or just one? Quote
Rumble Strike Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Yay for Hlin! I'm glad other people like seeing him. By far my favourite character to play We are creeping up to 52, Zeph. I promise I will get you some bios by the end of the weekend. Quote
Zepher Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 I'm going to hit a rut when I get to 53 anyway - there's a lot of typing to do for that one. Don't worry too much about it. Quote

JimBee Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Why would you get two? The alchemist guy said he would pass on a good word for us twice - once before and once after the final battle. Quote
CMP Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 The alchemist guy said he would pass on a good word for us twice - once before and once after the final battle. Oh. No, he was just reminding you. I'll finish up Quest 82 soon. Quote
-obelix- Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Oh. No, he was just reminding you. I'll finish up Quest 82 soon. Hope I dont put you to too much trouble over Thalion's rep requests!? Anyway, would you mind giving a clarification on the Alpha and Omega, as I plan on Thalion using them in the future. Here's my understanding - the wielder has a staff (which can attack normal - physically) and when you cast a spell you have an option on spending 2 additional ether to add a healing to that action and vice versa (cast and heal on the same turn for 4 ether). Of course, you cant cast and heal unless you know how to like sage, mime or prophet. Is that right, or did I miss interpret something like - the cost is only 2 ether for both; you can cast/cast | heal/cast or heal/heal - a choice; something different...? Quote

Your spells or heals are dual-strike (like normal melee dual-strike weapons) for one additional ether per dual spell/heal. Edited October 9, 2013 by CallMePie Quote
