The_Customizer Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 As others have said, the heroica board idea for the Quest it quite clever! Makes it pretty easy for us... Quote
Flipz Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 (edited) Ah, ok. Google is giving me junk results...a lot of Naruto for some reason, lol. Aoi is Japanese for "Blue", maybe they look like humans with blue skin? EDIT: That was @ Tanma. Didn't think I'd need to quote, guess I was wrong. Edited December 11, 2011 by Flipz Quote

CorneliusMurdock Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Turning to the guards Skrall addresses them, "Me name Cronk. Cronk hired to poke evil rebels with pointy arrows. Cronk loves to poke evil! Have nice guards seen any evil rebels? How big is factory, Cronk never seen factory before? Many workers?" Just one criticism. the first line should be "Cronk name Cronk." "Me" is a pronoun and Cronk doesn't use pronouns to describe people (so impersonal). Otherwise, great impression! Quote
Scubacarrot Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 "I'm uh Guts Holla! (), I'm the heavy one of the group, I take the fire and crush scum like those rebels. We was all hired seperatly, I was hired in the tavern in Eubric." Haldor makes a show of kicking a crate to make his story beliveable. I don't know what to say Quote
Khorne Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 I meant in comparison to your Bran O'Brien character (though I can't tell, since your link is broken.) Though I do now see the Indian Jones influence. And yes, it would be a mad duel between the 2. The link is broken? D'oh . Should've checked it first. I fixed it now, here it is. Scruffy face...too bad you don't have Arthur's face, it's a nice mix between scruffy and friendly. Although, the face you used turned out pretty well...where is it from? It's the Collectible Minifig Series 1 Cowboy's face. Personally, I don't think Arthur's face looks that much more friendly. I think the faces are on the same level of friendliness. I do prefer the face I picked now, it has more sneakiness/charming Rogue-ish qualitis to it than Arthur's face. Quote

Well, it's kind of a moot point anyway since Arthur's face is the only one like it in the world (besides the LEGO archival copy). I'd definitely like to experiment with the face a little more, see what other sorts of characters I could create with him. Any ideas? Quote

Scorpiox Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 (edited) Guts nodded at Nerwen, he was ready to go after whatever was out there, but not before digging with his shovel! Ooc: The gold I dug up will be shared, ok? Suddenly a rock monster tries to eat Guts! No digging please, you all know what happened to Althior! Edited December 11, 2011 by Scorpiox Quote
Scubacarrot Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Suddenly a rock monster tries to eat Guts! No digging please, you all know what happened to Althior! Guts is so badass that he would kick that rock monster in the face and continue digging. Quote
Scorpiox Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Yeah, Guts the mercenary off outside the factory, he's pretty cool. What?!? Guts is also a thug in a cave digging?!? Quote
Peppermint_M Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 You know, I was going to claim that Cariad was a cleric, but I think karma would flatten that one quickly... Quote
Fred Daniel Yam Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Wow, just had my first rant in the Hall, good for character development though. Quote

Sandy Posted December 11, 2011 Author Posted December 11, 2011 So are any official images of the aoi aviliable? I know they are blue and I think they are humanoid, but there is a difference between Legolas humanoid and Troll humanoid. I was waiting for Peppermint to publish her list of NPCs, but since the pictures of all of the major families have been requested many times already, I'll post them here in advance. Enjoy! Quote
K-Nut Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Yuck! Remind me not to get on Nocturnus' bad side! Quote
Tanma Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Oh, sorry if I messed up any major plans. Honestly I was just wondering if a standard Minifigure would be used for the aoi, or one of those Bionicle Minifigures from 2006 to 2007. But regardless, this is an impressive line up. Interesting to see that the aoi have outsiders among their leadership, and I must say I like the little bits of advanced technology concealed on them. It is interesting to note how out of place the Shadeaux from Quest 10 looks compared to the others, I am not sure if you intended it but he looks a lot lighter. Maybe it is just his sister's hat casting a shadow on her face. I must say I am worried about the guild though, I worry that one of them has no purpose there and will get too much air time. But maybe that is my hatred of Jar-Jar talking. Quote

But maybe that is my hatred of Jar-Jar talking. Actually, if the players in Quest#14 would have opted to visit the alchemists first, they would have met Madame Binks Ladybug. But alas, that was not to be, so she still remains as useless as her SW counterpart. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Interestingly in the Tavern in Quest#13, the Gungan-headed patron never got spoken to. Maybe everyone really does hate them! Quote
Jebediahs Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Nice gator, Rumble. I like how the specials have a 50/50 chance of occuring instead of in order they're listed. The heroes won't know which special is queued up next! Quote
Rumble Strike Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 It's just the main build from 5868 Ferocious Creatures. I actually bought the set in a 3 for 2 deal last month purely to use it as a boss battle in my Quest . It was actually a very involved and interesting build, with lots of green pieces which I don't have many of, so it was well worth getting. As a boss battle, I wanted more than one special, but not to have them occur in order (which is how you and Sandy did it). Mainly because I want the croc to eat 3 of the party! Quote
Tanma Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 (edited) Okay, I have to address this now. When De'kra puts something in quotations, the odds are that he is speaking it. If there are no quotations, he is thinking it. Not saying it out loud at all. And sometimes when houses quotations, check the verbs. Words like wondering, thinking, and ponders may indicate that he is also keeping the thought to himself. However if he refers to a person questioningly, he may be simply asking for their advise. It may be communicated in some details, but usually just follow the quotations. He isn't talking about Rome Ant Icism out loud, for example, because he doesn't know how the infected might react. They might become violent and De'kra's luck in battle rarely holds up. Note this isn't directed at any one person, many people have made this mistake. I do not mean to be hostile in this, but I can only say you read his body language so much. Edited December 11, 2011 by Tanma Quote
