Peppermint_M Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Or you could hold back on classing at all until a much higher level. Chi Monk is the only option open to Tesni right now and I am really considering holding down until level 40 to become a chieftan in preperation for Paragon. Though the vast array of gems is very tempting... Quote
Duvors Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 And yet you're the one who just decided to challenge the game's creator to an in-game battle for a statement made outside the game about your out-of-character motives. Hey, It's all in fun, I might not do it after all, there is such a thing as saying things in the spirit of fun. That's fair enough, then go for dragoon. Saving that for later. Quote
Palathadric Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 One has to love Heckz. He's really got a vision for what he wants and is pursuing it. Docken left his water canteen in his pouch, so he passes out as soon as the party moves, forcing the others to drag him with them. But...but...Docken is immune to insta-KO. Quote
Cutcobra Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 One has to love Heckz. He's really got a vision for what he wants and is pursuing it. What? Can't a glamourous person be interested in a pink book? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 But...but...Docken is immune to insta-KO. I had the Cobweb Cowl unequipped. Although I don't think I'd had any warning of what would happen if I didn't equip the artifacts until that last post where the mechanics were explained and I got Knocked Out; maybe I missed it somewhere in there. CMP Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 (edited) Doc, I don't think Immune to Hastened will keep someone from cancelling out the Slowed effect on the Minotaur's Axe. When they consume Smelling Salts (or someone permanently Hastened equips it) they'd just cancel eachother out. Edited November 3, 2013 by CallMePie Quote
Brickdoctor Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Doc, I don't think Immune to Hastened will keep someone from cancelling out the Slowed effect on the Minotaur's Axe. When they consume Smelling Salts (or someone permanently Hastened equips it) they'd just cancel eachother out. If someone consumes a Smelling Salts, then it's blocked by the immunity, just as a Nostrum has no effect on En Sabah Nur. If someone uses it with a permanently Hastened artifact, then that would take precedence over the immunity and cancel the Slowed effect and the Axe could be used every Round. In order to use it twice a Round, you'd have to be Immune to Slowed and permanently Hastened (other than a special case such as Scuba's Dancing Shoes). Quote

Flipz Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 But I don't think they would ever gain the Hastened effect though since it would just cancel out the Slowed effect. It's been previously established that the "cancelling out" business is merely for simplicity's sake; someone who's Slowed, then Hastened can take a Remedy to remove the Slowed effect and become Hastened. (Obviously that wouldn't work for the axe since they're permanent effects, but still.) Also, imagine a Hunter with that axe. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 But I don't think they would ever gain the Hastened effect though since it would just cancel out the Slowed effect. Which is why I said that they'd have to be Immune to Slowed first. Quote

Except every NPC in the village beating you in the head over the fact that you shouldn't go into the desert without the artifacts. You had ample time to equip them, so I decided to demonstrate what happens when you don't listen to the NPCs... Quote

Sandy Posted November 3, 2013 Author Posted November 3, 2013 Does Olegaia have any Necropolis's? Before I go any further, I want to make sure there's none in existence. Nobody has created a proper Necropolis up until this point, as far as I know. Remember that most of Olegaia is still up in the air, so to speak. The world isn't "ready" by any means. Quote

Kintobor Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Are you putting a necropolis into your next quest? Well, it won't be for a while, but there may be a small one coming up. My next quest is a Graveyard Quest, and it will also be the first of a two quest arc. Quote
Endgame Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Sandy, is Salladin's "Lifestealer" move actually kill the hero, or just knock them out? ("Kill" as in removed permanently from battle, I suppose.) Quote
Flipz Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Sandy, if those bandits are trying to rob the party blind, then why do none of them actually deal the Blinded effect in their specials? Quote

Sandy Posted November 3, 2013 Author Posted November 3, 2013 Sandy, is Salladin's "Lifestealer" move actually kill the hero, or just knock them out? ("Kill" as in removed permanently from battle, I suppose.) Instant kill and sudden death are the same thing as getting knocked out regardless of remaining health. Don't ask why. And will that Special ever actually come into play? The hero has to be Enamored in order for that Special to be used, but the hero can't attack in the first place if he's Enamored. Whoops! I'll fix it right away. Quote
