Zepher Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Sandy (and others!) how long ago was Eubric a real city? I know when it was "founded" but it was like a fledgling fishing village before that, right? Quote
Flipz Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Well, I know the followers of Mercutio were active in Eubric even from the humblest beginnings. Quote
JimBee Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Also remember that the Kingdom of Moone was there before it was sunk and the city sprouted from there. Quote
Kintobor Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Hopefully everyone likes Doppels shapeshifting antics, as ell as the custom specials/passives around their characters! I like! I was thinking of doing something similar in 91, but it seems you beat me to the punch. Quote
Zepher Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 (edited) I believe Moone sinking predates the founding of Eubric by quite a long time, though correct me if I'm wrong. I'm asking because... certain very soon upcoming quests will have flashbacks to the early years of Eubric. And I love the Doppel, mechanically. I was also planning to use something similar to it, and if it works, a similar enemy will appear sometime in the future of Zepher quests. Thanks for testing it out. Cryos Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 I must applaud you, Endgame. For making all these battles still work with such a huge level gap to fill! And still putting a twist on Doppel that, from my small knowledge base, hasn't been done before! Quote
CMP Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 That was a dirty trick, Doc... Yeah, what kind of inconsiderate bastard doesn't stuff random warehouses full of loot that the party think has something valuable in them purely because they're locked and someone sells a magic key? Quote

Scorpiox Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 UsernameMDM, would it be possible to agree on our trade out of character? I know that this isn't the normally done thing, but interrupting Haldor and Jess' conversation to talk money would look odd. Quote
Chromeknight Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Yeah, what kind of inconsiderate bastard doesn't stuff random warehouses full of loot that the party think has something valuable in them purely because they're locked and someone sells a magic key? I think he's more saying that Doc knew we went looking for loot, knew the warehouse was lootless and could have just said so, rather than having everyone take time with actions... Quote

Brickdoctor Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 I think he's more saying that Doc knew we went looking for loot, knew the warehouse was lootless and could have just said so, rather than having everyone take time with actions... The warehouse was not necessarily loot-less. It only had food and drink in it, yes, but you never tried doing anything other than looking at it. The potential reward/usefulness was not as great as it would've been if you had opened it earlier in the quest, but it would not have taken long to get something out of it now. Quote
Sandy Posted November 27, 2013 Author Posted November 27, 2013 Moone Sunk 1000 years ago, Eubric was founded 450, and the Orcish war was 250. Ahem, not Moone, but Mercution. Moone and the Free Islands used to be plateaus and mountain-tops on the sunken continent. Incidentally, the capital of the sunken Moon Elven kingdom (Nu Mercution) used to lie roughly on the spot where Eubric was founded. To answer your question, Zepher, the evolution of Eubric from a village to a city happened quite fast once the founding families (The Hinckwells, the Bonapartes and the Porthiar) had settled in. Duvors Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Mercuton Sunk 1000 years ago, Eubric was founded 400, and the Orcish war was 250. Corrected. Quote
Tanma Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 (edited) Hey, I think I'm back. A little rusty though, but back. Edited November 28, 2013 by Tanma Quote
Scubacarrot Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Awww Tanma, don't be like that. We like you fine. Dek'ra, some of our characters less so, and not everyone enjoys the bionicle stuff, but the bionicle stuff aside, I think De'kra as being the little know it all demon that he is is a good entry in the line up of heroes. Quote
Capt.JohnPaul Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Tanma, don't be like that. I second Scuba, we like you, it's just that it is incredibly hard to Roleplay with Dek'ra. We know nothing about Bionicle or the backstory or how it relates to Heroica. But the little demon is cool. Quote
Endgame Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 (edited) Haha! I think does the battle justice. Indeed it does! I chose "Supporting Me" simply for the lyrics, although I suppose the whole dissonant techno thing goes with his disposition. The song has a tendency to garble the lyrics, so: I'm gonna be desperate. I believe in my future, farewell to the shadow. It was my place to live, but now I need your hand. Lead me out with your light - I have breathed in this disgusting air of darkness for far too long. To the pressure, everything is just like an illusion I'll be losing you before long. I never lose my confidence. You're supporting me You're destroying me You're supporting me You're destroying me I'll be losing you before long... Edited November 28, 2013 by Endgame Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 I believe that is the best fitting music. It is fitting for every situation. Quote
Kintobor Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 I believe that is the best fitting music. :poke:It is fitting for every situation. Hey, it's my theme song. No joke, I'm known as the rail fan in my group of friends. Quote
Cryos Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 (edited) I believe that is the best fitting music. :poke:It is fitting for every situation. If you want a song that TRULY fits every situation. Then there's no other contender to Guile's Theme. *drops mic* Edited November 28, 2013 by Cryos Quote
