Pyrovisionary Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 It's more for player knowledge and entertainment than anything else. It's interesting that Karie is one of the best characters but has no real 'Quirks'. Quote
Palathadric Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 (edited) *Karie strips off clothes* "Karie... I, um... what do you want?" "Masson, can't you tell? I stay up at night dreaming of your strong arms around me, your hot lips on mine, and our bodies entwined." "But what you ask is impossible. You see, I do not make love." "You don't?!?" "No, as the leader of the syndicate, I am extremely powerful. I have my goons do everything for me." *Enter Octavian.* Who catches the blatant reference? Edited December 4, 2013 by Palathadric Quote

Scubacarrot Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 "You have need of me, keeper of the magic arts? You come here to seek knowledge, yes? I will speak my best to speak to what it is you seek, but there are things that even I do not have truth of. Imps exist one of this world's most hidden and mysterious creatures. They do not walk upon the land as you do, human, but dwell underground of their own world, away from where eyes see and ears listen. I have not heard much of these creatures in the past time of late, Imp-kind do not venture from their secluded kingdoms in leisure. They are neither demon nor goblin folk, although bear likeness to these creatures in ways of their own. There are few who understand the true nature of the Imp, and fewer still who would wish to share this truth with others of your kind. I have not set eyes upon one of the Imp folk for as many summers as you have lived, you would waste your time in the pursuit of finding one. Is there any other knowledge that you wish to gain from me whilst you stand here?" Boo! Quote
Scubacarrot Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Because it was much more fun when Hybros' origin was shrouded in darkness and there was reasonable doubt he was a demon. In my opinion. Quote

Scorpiox Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Wait, people thought Hybros was a demon? How long was I gone? Only in the sense that De'kra used to be nicknamed 'Demonspawn', I think. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 JimB contacted me to give some prompts on what to write, actually. I figured, but I personally preferred it that other way. Wait, people thought Hybros was a demon? How long was I gone? An Imp, the word, is a demon, coupled with Hybros' appearance, what does that give the appearance of? Quote

An Imp, the word, is a demon, coupled with Hybros' appearance, what does that give the appearance of? A Jawa? But yeah, I see your point. I just associate imps more with fairies than demons I guess, probably because of their nonthreatening name. (no offense to fairies, those guys will mess you up) Quote

Scubacarrot Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 I mean, there was that one guy in Quest 44 that was a fairy. Quote

Chromeknight Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 (edited) Thank you very much, Chromeknight! You're very welcome. And why yes, I can segue from Monty Python to Dr.Dre seamlessly. (Though I prefer the Ben Folds cover). Edited December 5, 2013 by Chromeknight Quote
Sisco Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Alright everyone, I have a bit of news regarding my activity for the next few days-weeks. I'm about to be buried under some wintry weather, and will most likely lose power. The storm is looking pretty bad, so it could be up to two weeks like the storm in '09 before I get power back. So, Zepher and CallMePie, I may well not be able to post at all for up to two weeks. I understand if you need to find a replacement hero, but if it's at all possible, would you mind if Haldor/Scorpiox controlled Jess in the event of a battle if we're all still together, and then let Hoke/UsernameMDM control Jess if we separate back into our individual quests? I'd love to continue on these quests, inclement weather is just forcing me to take a 1-14 day break from the internet. Thank you! Quote

Endgame Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 (edited) Is it just me or is "JUST DIE ALREADY!" Endgame's favorite quote? It's me poking fun at myself for making battles that last long. Also, Jetorix's patience is wearing thin. He just wants to walk all over the heroes, pick up any of the rioters that aren't dead, and wreak some havoc. Edited December 6, 2013 by Endgame Quote
Bricksandparts Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Should I know about Jetorix? If I should, would you explain why the heroes are fighting him? Quote
Endgame Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Racist, bigoted bastard who has a way with words. He and his concubine, Siri, gather up a group of Eubric's citizens every day and try to break into the Progg settlement, beleieving they are unclean scum/devils. Political reasons forbid a Progg from harming a human (they're already in hot water after what happened in Luosh) so they hired humans to take care of them, as well as the destruction of their construction site. Proggs are dealing with a homelessness problem currently, so they need these apartment buildings up ASAP. Quote
