The Legonater Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 It hasn't been under British rule since 1867. Technically it was still a colony until just after 1919. I do like the idea of Bone weapons. A very interesting system. Quote
Scorpiox Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Technically it was still a colony until just after 1919. If we're going to go down to the fine detail: Canada became self-governing in 1867, but was still subject to the British laws and budget for many years later. In fact, it wasn't until the revised constitution of 1982 that Canada became completely independent and responsible for itself entirely. Sorry! Quote

Canada still considers the Quean of England as head of state. Quote
Kintobor Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Yes we do. We also consider celebrating Thanksgiving in November silly. Deal with it. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 I love how one of Byblos' clues specifically reassures us that it's "definitely not an anagram". Quote
The Legonater Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Fair enough. I still think the road to independence was paved around 1919, but this is vastly getting off-topic. Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Yes we do. We also consider celebrating Thanksgiving in November silly. Deal with it. And we Brits consider thanksgiving overall silly. Deal with it. Quote
Dragonfire Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 And we half-Canadian, half-Brits are neutral on the whole matter. Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 In soviet russia on soviet Givingthanks. Turkey eat you. Quote
Chromeknight Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 (edited) To solve the time zone issue, everyone could move to Australia. It's usually sunny, we like the Queen speak English (not American) but do also like Americans too. There's plenty of room and all the deadly animals aren't a problem in the cities. If you've got American dollars or British pounds you'll get a good exchange rate. The only downside is LEGO costs more relative to US/Europe. Edit:Oh, and we don't mind turkey day because it means good internet specials on LEGO. Edited December 8, 2013 by Chromeknight Quote

It's the same but without the deadly animals and a bit cooler. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Or the Netherlands! No wait that is a terrible idea. Quote
Endgame Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 (edited) Or we could all go to Massachusetts/New England, where the winter is harsh, the summer is decent, and the people are stereotyped as unfriendly. Edited December 8, 2013 by Endgame Quote
Brickdoctor Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Does this have anything to do with Heroica anymore? Quote
Scubacarrot Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 I'd say considering moving Heroica's playerbase to a different place in the world to promote faster, more responsive Heroica play is Heroica related. Quote
Endgame Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Does this have anything to do with Heroica anymore? Timezones on how to synchronize our quest schedules. That, and Thanksgiving, communist turkeys, royal figureheads, wild animals, Canada, and the sun. (We have a tendency to go off on a tangent, apparently. :nlush: ) Quote
Duvors Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 (edited) Lets all move to the moon, there's enough room there! Edited December 8, 2013 by Lord Duvors Quote
CMP Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 (edited) We have a tendency to go off on a tangent, apparently. It's in the nature of anyone who plays RPGs to get hopelessly and hilariously off-topic even while there's some sort of giant life-or-death battle between the forces of good and evil going on. Anyway, I still do think we need an Elphaba-esque merchant for non-magical stuff, like weapons, maybe Bright Polish/Grating Stones, etc. Edited December 8, 2013 by CallMePie Quote
Duvors Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 (edited) A Traveling merchant that acts as a reoccurring NPC in various quests? Edited December 8, 2013 by Lord Duvors Quote
Endgame Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Brickdoctor's PM chain in CAT comes to mind. I'd argue amount of off topic hilarity and intensity of current Heroica quests are proportional. Quote

Quoting stuff is different...you can do it in-character and used right it's not off-topic. It's fair game. Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Or move to Canada and rename HeroiCanada Quote
