Sandy Posted December 13, 2011 Author Posted December 13, 2011 I don't know who else is using Zoot, or which form of Zoot You don't? Haven't you noticed that there is a quest called "Darkstar" going on? You did say at some point that you never wanted this game to involve heroes fighting Gods, so I've made sure that won't happen, but never fear, Zoot will be prominent and I think people will like the (potential) ending. I still don't want heroes to fight gods directly (since I think it would be a clichéd and naive plot twist), but of course they can fight some manifestation of a god (like a demon or a possessed human). Zoot cannot die, but his cult that is rising again can be defeated (or brought into new prosperity, depending on the quests). Quote
Zepher Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 I'm quite happy with my potential ending. Though of course, it could change, and of course, I know I'm not the only one guiding Zoot's path, so I'll just say I'm happy with my potential ending to the Wren Quests! Quote
Scubacarrot Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 On the other side of things, Boomingham does not believe in any Gods, so he doesn't have to worry about it. Guts believes that the gods exist, but that they are useless to mortals and that there is no point in dealing with them. On another topic, I made some progress on my thought of designing my own quest, Sandy, Ill PM you as soon as I take some more pics. Quote

And that is totally acceptable as well. Nobody can point out the gods, anyway, saying "Look, there goes Ennoc!". Even Ellaria, who hears Sylvania's voice inside her head some times, can just be imagining it. Quote

De'kra accepts that cleric get their power from somewhere, but is hesitant to state it is from gods. He has had run in with false gods in the past, and although it was a benevolent entity it still made him a bit more cautious about legends. He thinks that legends tend to be born of truth, but that they grow distorted that the truth is lost. Quote
CMP Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 OOC: As stated, I should have a Healing Staff, (WP:5) therefore my power should be 24 I believe. You should only have 19 power, you can't wield 2 weapons at once, I believe. And Xander's should be 17, on account of his Pongcanis Club. Quote
K-Nut Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 You should only have 19 power, you can't wield 2 weapons at once, I believe. Really? I thought that weapons were like artifacts, so can't I wield two? Or are weapons completely different? Quote
CMP Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Really? I thought that weapons were like artifacts, so can't I wield two? Or are weapons completely different? Weapons are completely different, only one can be equipped at a time. Quote
Flipz Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Okay, sorry for the confusion. Didn't some characters get a permanent +1 boost to Power, tho? I seem to recall that happening to several players, not sure if Althior or Xander were among them. Quote

Masked Builder Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 I like what you have going there Doc. It's promising to be a good quest! (And I would so do a MacGyver. ) Quote

Waterbrick Down Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 (edited) I concur Doc, this looks like it's going to be an awesome quest to watch. Good job trying something different Edited December 14, 2011 by Waterbrick Down Quote
Masked Builder Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Althior quickly grabs the nearest planks and ropes, creating his own catapult. Alexis uses her telepathic link with Althior to tell him to pull a MacGyver. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Someone grab that book Arthur has! Quote
Flipz Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Althior quickly grabs the nearest planks and ropes, creating his own catapult. I would do that, but I'm a mage not a rogue. I guess I could use Wood magic for that, but I only have ice. A lot of good that'll do against humanoid Elves. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Sandy, would it be Ok if I cataloged a detailed map of Eubric, and perhaps other areas later? for instance, I could post main shops, pictures, and If I made it, I could also post LDD files. How does everyone like this Idea? Quote
Flipz Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Someone grab that book Arthur has! De'kra has it, though I don't know if Arthur would think to check it. My thought was, assuming the Quest took multiple in-game Days, Arthur would check the book at the end of the Day, and if De'kra had written him about his Quest during that time, I'd allow myself to read the thread to that point. I guess he could send a direct message via PM, but...how would De'kra (or any of you) know that we needed to set up traps at the fort? That said...suggestions welcome. Quote
JimBee Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Agreed with what everyone else said - Quest #17 looks really promising, Doc. Not only are your graphics and builds outstanding, the whole concept looks awesome. On another note I have again become jealous of those who went on Quest 11 and got a hollow weapon. Hmm... maybe if Namyarra/Quarryman got it for her Lullaby Wand, she would name it "Sleepy Hollow". Sorry. Quote

The prices, etc. might need to be changed, but there's just too much good stuff there to miss. Quote

It lets the QMs add unique items that shouldn't be commonplace and makes Quests more exciting. Quote

Most of the consumables are in the market, and you may just find one of those hollow blade daggers floating around. I do think the map WBD added with the quest, marking the shops, should be used in the map of Eubric. Edited December 14, 2011 by CallMePieOrDie Quote
Fred Daniel Yam Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Man, 4 pages into Quest 17 and I already love the freedom of it, I was thinking this was going to end up like a tower defense game as soon as the Hinckwell guy siad "6 to 8 waves." A part of me still wants to go Aragorn and leap into the fray shooting elves everywhere. Quote
K-Nut Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Honestly, this quest might end up as the hardest/Most confusing quest ever! I'm actually keeping a word document with all the ideas I've heard. Quote
