Flare Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Why did Lupine's health go up between rounds 13-14, Kinto? Quote
Kintobor Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Technically Hybros's Sword of Ancestral Hatred wouldn't of done any damage to him since Lupine is immune to Darkness elemental. I thought it best at JimB's request to adjust his health and blind him. It was a technical oversight on my part. Quote
Zepher Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Happy New Year all - I've been celebrating with Gogol Bordello and Man-Man and friends and family, so updates will come a bit later today! Quote

Palathadric Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Buffoon's Hat (Prevents anyone from taking the wearer seriously; protects from Free Hits unless the wearer is the last hero standing; headwear) Does the hat protect the wearer from free hits, so that the free hits that would've been dealt to him are instead dealt to another party member, or does it protect the wearer from free hits so that the free hits that should be dealt against him have no effect? Sandy Posted January 2, 2014 Author Posted January 2, 2014 Happy This Year, guys! Now that the holidays are over, I should be able to pick up the pace again. Buffoon's Hat (Prevents anyone from taking the wearer seriously; protects from Free Hits unless the wearer is the last hero standing; headwear) Does the hat protect the wearer from free hits, so that the free hits that would've been dealt to him are instead dealt to another party member, or does it protect the wearer from free hits so that the free hits that should be dealt against him have no effect? The first option. The enemies won't take the wearer as a serious threat, so they won't attack him with Free Hits unless he's the only option (or he has Aura on), instead focusing on the other heroes. This question should've been asked at the Rules&FAQ topic, though. Quote
Palathadric Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Oops, my mistake. Not so sure I want the hat anymore. Also, I tend to recall reading somewhere that we weren't supposed to put our GP in our statistics page, but I can't seem to find any such ruling now. Quote
Sandy Posted January 2, 2014 Author Posted January 2, 2014 Also, I tend to recall reading somewhere that we weren't supposed to put our GP in our statistics page, but I can't seem to find any such ruling now. You don't need to list your Glory Points in the stats, their current values are saved into the GP Bank in the first post of the FoG-topic. Quote
Palathadric Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Grand and glorious! Sandy, I noticed that you didn't take into account most of the things I got/gave in the Grogmas event. Should I just remove them from my stats personally? Don't want to cause any confusion for anyone though or be accused of any illegal activity. Quote
Scorpiox Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Seriously? CMP, this puzzle is just a thing (that can be solved methodically without any penalty) that some people don't get and is going to take a long time without anyone having fun in it. Can I just give the moves for the whole party to finish it. I'll save most thoughts for post-quest, but I've got to agree, we're just getting sloppy now and I, at least, have exhausted my RP for the event, heh. I don't think that this is CMP's fault. Certain people unfortunately don't seem to be paying attention in a game that seems to me really rather simple. In the nicest possible way, it would be great if those people could concentrate a little more so we can this this over with and move on with the quest. Quote

swils Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 I hope I didn't sound like I was implying it was CMP's fault. I've actually really enjoyed it, meaningful RP and such. Quote

In the nicest possible way, it would be great if those people could concentrate a little more so we can this this over with and move on with the quest. It's more a matter of me overlooking how one might find the solution. I assumed it would be more like Haldor did, focusing on maybe one person at a time (another factor I didn't account for was the fact that everybody but him has diplomacy/intimidation/promiscuity ) and trying to figure out where they sat alignment-wise. But since the party had so many actions, it was just easier to slide everybody around the spectrum and guess on where they'd land at the end of the round to just eliminate all possibilities. That said, I do appreciate the RP you all did regardless of how the mechanics didn't work out so well. Heroes should probably stick to killing stuff anyway. Quote
swils Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Well to be fair, I thought I was nudging people towards their true alignments... Apparently I just have really poor inferring skills and thus had to slide my two all over the place, heh. Quote

Apparently I just have really poor inferring skills and thus had to slide my two all over the place, heh. I can tell, I know none of you were doing it entirely randomly and you all probably had a goal in mind, but you'd simply guess whatever alignment was on the way, and if you messed up the guess would remain in place, forcing you to go back and check it. You're already 4/6 correct, so you're doing quite well. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Of course it's not CMP's fault, as I said when it started, I love the concept. Just the mechanical part of it doesn't work that great because there's no pressure behind it. Quote
