Tamamono Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Woah, Etzel, are we actually going to be fighting with siege weapons? This is going to be good. And I agree with what's been said so far, Quest 17 looks great! I'll be sure to follow along. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Wow i think this battle might be the one with the most uses of the rogue's Mug ability. On another note, can we not just let the battle play? the guy has 4 health left... Quote

On another note, can we not just let the battle play? the guy has 4 health left... I agree. 34 damage and 34 gold for Dak! Chromeknight, pleasepleaseplease put me first into the battle order so I can Mug him one more time! Rumble Strike said that he would like to let us specify battle order, rows, and attack types before the battle continues. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 I would be perfectly happy to run it myself as per the previous order but I have seen other QMs get flak for not allowing the players to choose their actions regarding spells etc so thought it best to be on the safe side. Quote

Alright, I understand. I think the QM should be okay to play the battle out if there is one enemy with low health remaining AND no one in the party is in danger of being knocked out in the following round. But that is just my opinion. Quote
Tamamono Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 He holds the fire bombs above his head in triumph, and somewhere a familiar tune plays faintly. Great reference! Quote
Sandy Posted December 14, 2011 Author Posted December 14, 2011 I think the QM should be okay to play the battle out if there is one enemy with low health remaining AND no one in the party is in danger of being knocked out in the following round. That's exactly the philosophy I've followed in my quests. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 I've run it now. Very interesting rolls too! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 QM Note - Not sure at the moment what effects I could give the giant crocodile tongue but felt that Gorg should take a little momento of his stay Giant Crocodile Tongue (WP: 0)And then he can trade it away so that swils can start a collection! CMP Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Giant Crocodile Tongue (WP: 0) And then he can trade it away so that swils can start a collection! He should enchant with a Chunk of Lucky Desk. Quote
Flipz Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Since we now know the chemical composition of Fire Bombs, I am now curious to figure out how the other bombs are made. Quote
Darth Nihilus Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Since we now know the chemical composition of Fire Bombs, I am now curious to figure out how the other bombs are made. My guesses on the composition of each: Water Bomb=Jar+Water+Oil Holy Bomb: Light+Oil+Jar Earth Bomb: Dirt+Jar+Oil Quote
Scubacarrot Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 I think Dak might be colorblind, did'nt he try to set the gems up in a rainbow pattern earlier. Quote
K-Nut Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 My guesses on the composition of each: Water Bomb=Jar+Water+Oil Holy Bomb: Light+Oil+Jar Earth Bomb: Dirt+Jar+Oil What's an Earth Bomb? Quote
Etzel Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 My guesses on the composition of each: Water Bomb=Jar+Water+Oil Holy Bomb: Light+Oil+Jar Earth Bomb: Dirt+Jar+Oil How do you put light in a jar? Quote
K-Nut Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 How do you put light in a jar? Easy! You get a Diamond. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Rumble, I just noticed, there is a difference between the picture and the pattern you put out, the gem in the middle on the bottom row is not there in the pattern, but it is in the picture, am I missing something? Quote
Darth Nihilus Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 I think Dak might be colorblind, did'nt he try to set the gems up in a rainbow pattern earlier. There wasn't a picture! How was I supposed to know that the gems were all the same color? I am not really familiar with all the types of Bombs, so I just assumed that there was an Earth Bomb. Sorry if I was incorrect. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Since we now know the chemical composition of Fire Bombs, I am now curious to figure out how the other bombs are made. I labeled them 'Fire Bombs' just to make things easier. Other Fire Bombs might be made differently or might just be magical. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 How do you put light in a jar? Get a flashlight and close the lid! Everyone knows that, duh. Quote
Flipz Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 I labeled them 'Fire Bombs' just to make things easier. Other Fire Bombs might be made differently or might just be magical. No, no, we've come up with a rational explanation for them, now we have to do the same for everything else in the gameworld. C'mon, now, let's start deconstructing the RPG, tropes and all. Bring on the Mythbusters! Quote
Bricksandparts Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 So what do you guys think about my idea? I'd call it the Eubric Map room, or something to that effect. it'd be a detailed map of Olegaia, but just Eubric at first. It would be categorized in different groups based on area. I'd show where different shops are and their past and previous wares. It'd just be a place that would help QMs decide where to host their quest, and the general surroundings. This question is mostly for Sandy, and I asked him about a day back in this thread but he never answered. Anyways, just wanted some feed-back. Quote
Flipz Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 My guesses on the composition of each: ... Holy Bomb: Light+Oil+Jar ... No, no, those are clearly of Antiochan import. Quote
Tanma Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 How do you put light in a jar? Put his Deathnote in it then seal it up after he crawls inside? But on topic, I like the idea of a world map, at the least it could give us a better sense of scale of houses. I do worry about making a map for Quest 4, as we traveled all across Uland. That might be hard to bring to scale. If someone is willing to tackle it though more power to them. Quote
Tamamono Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 (edited) This is shaping up to be an awesome quest, Etzel! You're doing a great job! Put his Deathnote in it then seal it up after he crawls inside? What a groaner! Edited December 15, 2011 by Captain Tamamono Quote
