The Legonater Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Sheesh, they really disarmed him, didn't they? Quote
swils Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 He should have kept his enemies at an arm's length. Quote
Chromeknight Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 I keep forgetting I have it now--despite it being one of the driving reasons I switched to the class. Nerwen's always been diplomatic, but now she's got the job trait too, it'll work even better. Quote
Vash the Stampede Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 He should have kept his enemies at an arm's length. Wasn't that the problem? Should've made it two arm's length. Quote
Myrddyn Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 (edited) Regulation minimum safe distance between two combatants in a swordfight is equal to length of combatant 1's arm + length of combatant 2's arm + length of longest weapon. Or D = C1 + C2 + W, if that's easier to remember. Safety goggles must be worn at all times. Edited January 6, 2014 by Myrddyn Quote
Vash the Stampede Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Why not make it simple and have a bow. Stay a long way away and shoot in that general direction. Quote
Tachyon Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Would fields of glory be worth going on ? Quote
Myrddyn Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Why not make it simple and have a bow. Stay a long way away and shoot in that general direction. Projectile weapons and long distances are no match for science and cowardice, kid. Quote
Vash the Stampede Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 But if you put projectile weapons, long distances, science and cowardice all together you get a nuke. Quote
Endgame Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 He wouldn't risk that... if you made that risk apparent enough early enough to stop him. And yeah, that's why it'd be no fun - no matter how powerful I try to make Boomingham, you can (and will) scale Masson so that there's no point in a fight. I'm on board for the quest, but I don't know if Boomingham could handle it and still stay the character he is. "En garde." Masson Cour, Level 50 Paragon HP: 90/90 SP: 6 Power Bonus: 9 Gold: 100 Equipment: Zandatsu (WP: 18, No bomb slotted, suitable to Masson only) Syndicate Cowl Deluxe (6 SP, plus immunity to Weakness, Blinded and Fragile. Headwear) Counterstrike Gloves (Handwear) Syndicate Uniform (+9 power, Bodywear), Quickdraw Sheathe (1/6 chance of starting every battle Hastened, Accesory) Inventory: Exterlate x3, Tiger Balm, Emergency Essence, Grand Potion x3, Fire Bomb x3, Ice Bomb, x3, Holy Bomb x2, Spare Dagger (WP: 8) There. I've already plotted out his stats - if anything, I'll nerf him even more. If Boomingham can defeat this, more power to him! Though I imagine other heroes won't approve, but only time can tell for that one. Quote
Zepher Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 I'd kill him for the loot. If you make another threat more pressing, and make it apparent quickly, you'll get to keep him. I'm not trying to be mean about it, I'm just warning you how Boomingham may behave. Quote
Palathadric Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 There. I've already plotted out his stats - if anything, I'll nerf him even more. If Boomingham can defeat this, more power to him! Though I imagine other heroes won't approve, but only time can tell for that one. Seriously? Boomingham owns this dude. Just needs a couple of wicked bombs. Or, here's a thought. Boomingham goes Black Knight and rapes Masson of all of his precious artifacts and weapons. I think that may be the most satisfying result from the battle. Quote
Flare Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 (edited) Or, here's a thought. Boomingham goes Black Knight and rapes (!?!?!) Masson of all of his precious artifacts and weapons. I think that may be the most satisfying result from the battle. I think you need to rethink one of those verbs and change it quickly Edited January 6, 2014 by Flare Quote
Flipz Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Now Endgame, that's no fair fight. Everyone knows that when fighting defensively your effective health goes up dramatically, but your ability to strategize or take the offensive goes out the window. Seriously, I've been working on finding just the perfect multiplier for like two months now. Although...I haven't considered...hmm... *scribble scribble* Arthur has a half-brother...!! Quote
Scubacarrot Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 I think you need to rethink one of those verbs and change it quickly I ship Boomingham x Masson. Quote
Flipz Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Zeph, you can wear four Artifacts now, so you can equip Bluehood's hood now as well if you wanted to. Quote
Kintobor Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 He's not level 30, though. Next battle he will. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Oh my gosh... Not even kidding, I just hit 9001 bricks in my model for my upcoming quest... Quote

Capt.JohnPaul Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 He should have kept his enemies at an arm's length. Meh, just a flesh wound. Now get over there and fight more you pansies! Why not make it simple and have a bow. Stay a long way away and shoot in that general direction. Or just fart in his general direction! Quote
Sandy Posted January 7, 2014 Author Posted January 7, 2014 I'll try to answer the remaining letters from the Grogmas Event as soon as possible, but not today as I'm tired as hell - first day at work after the holidays, and then a friend came to visit. So I ask for your patience with the responses. Quote
