Jedi master Brick Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Wow, this siege battle is epic. Now we can say we have fought the most people in 1 battle Quote
The_Customizer Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Khorne, could I get the 20 gold, as it was stolen from me, and not really loot? If not I understand, but I would sort of like to have my gold back.... Quote
Etzel Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 I'm happy you like it. I'm a bit embarrassed by the awful pictures of the battlefield but I'm experiencing some computer problems at the moment and it keeps freezing up and works extremely slow. I was very close to throwing my laptop out the window yesterday... Works OK right now though. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Zepher my posts will be a little short and without much RP, computer's in the shop for clean up so I'm reduced to smart phone for 2 weeks or so. Quote
Khorne Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Khorne, could I get the 20 gold, as it was stolen from me, and not really loot? If not I understand, but I would sort of like to have my gold back.... I wanted to reward everyone for their effort against the pirates, but in hindsight it's seems more fair indeed to return you the money you lost, so I changed the loot division . Other party members, I'll try and make up with you with following loot! Quote
Bioniclover Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Beat you to it Chromeknight! Thanks, bro! Quote
Zepher Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Hehe, sorry WBD, I'm encouraging RPing now that you can't! But don't worry about it man, I hope your computer gets back to you in one piece, and in two weeks from now, we should still have a significant amount of the Quest to go, though hopefully not too much! Waterbrick Down Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 That's alright, my thumbs will just get a good workout but seriously I love the roleplaying aspect of the game it will just take me longer to write things. Quote
K-Nut Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 That's alright, my thumbs will just get a good workout but seriously I love the roleplaying aspect of the game it will just take me longer to write things. That's what I hated about my vacation about a month back! I wanted to RP Althior up quite a bit, but the thumbs, the thumbs! How do the kids do all that texting? Quote
legobodgers Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Brickdoctor, I thought that the name of you quest was the Lions sNare because that is what it looks like on the title card. However the thread title is the Lions sHare. Which is right? I love the open nature of your quest, the players are very free to explore. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 It's Lion's Share. The font I used didn't make that very clear, but looking at the PSD, that is an 'h' I wrote. Quote
legobodgers Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Thanks for clearing that up. I thought that the lions snare didn't make much sense. Quote
Flipz Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Thanks for clearing that up. I thought that the lions snare didn't make much sense. It would if we had been hired by the Shadeaux to set a snare for the Lion Knights... Quote
legobodgers Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Ah, playing a secret double agent are we? You are to secretly let the enemy in through the well and plant your napalm amongst the archers. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 I always thought it was "The lion's share" as it is a play on the Lion Knights as well as being a phrase which means "the majority", (ie "in the Quest, Tesni killed the lion's share of the soldiers"). Quote

It is. As far as the meaning of the saying, it's not that evident, but I mentioned in the sign-up pitch that the winner of the coming battles would control the majority of northern Uland. If you take the words literally, in this Quest the Lions are fighting for their share of the land on Uland. Quote
Flipz Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 (edited) Ah, playing a secret double agent are we? You are to secretly let the enemy in through the well and plant your napalm amongst the archers. Ack! They've discovered my scumtell! Doc, this running gag has reached critical mass, it's time for QM-led Mafia in-jokes in the Quest. Edited December 16, 2011 by Flipz Quote
CMP Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 You join the rest of the party at the well. I just want to say that is the most gorgeous picture I've seen of any of yours, Doc. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 I just want to say that is the most gorgeous picture I've seen of any of yours, Doc. Thanks. Really? I thought the Kitchen was better. I guess it was a better build, but not as impressive in photography. Quote
Flipz Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Thanks. Really? I thought the Kitchen was better. I guess it was a better build, but not as impressive in photography. The lighting on this one is just spectacular! What light sources do you use? Quote
CMP Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Thanks. Really? I thought the Kitchen was better. I guess it was a better build, but not as impressive in photography. Yeah, the photography was what really got me. Although your tavern scenes from Quest 4 are still fantastic. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 The lighting on this one is just spectacular! What light sources do you use? Just the sun. Quote
Sandy Posted December 16, 2011 Author Posted December 16, 2011 Just the sun. I wish we had that in my country... Honestly, during this time of the year we have sunlight for about six hours per day, and even then it's mostly blocked by the clouds and rain. Damn this rotund planet! Luckily my situation has improved now that I got a new lamp here in my study, so I can now take pictures during the dark hours as well. Previously my quest could be held back just by the fact that I did not have adequate lighting to take proper pictures. Quote
