Endgame Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Which retroactively makes him older as an undead. ...I applaud your logic. At this point it's a bad habit for the one's that continue to use the Hero's Cocktail. It burns through their system, leaving them groggy, slightly dizzy, and stupidly powerful. The question now is when will the Town Watch and the houses step in on the use of these substances. Kintobor, signing off. It actually is a bit of a poor idea, though, since none of the enmies in 93 so far have been carrying gold. The consumables are becoming unprofitable. Quote
CMP Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Heroibition! That'd make an interesting quest. Quote
Kintobor Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Heroibition! That'd make an interesting quest. I actually have a speak easy-esque area popping up in a bit. Hmm. this would make for an interesting multi party quest, with each party taking a side (Town Watch, Marketplace Vendors, Guild of Invision?) and going from there. Quote

Hmm. this would make for an interesting multi party quest, with each party taking a side (Town Watch, Marketplace Vendors, Guild of Invision?) and going from there. That'll be next year's three-part quest. Saving countries is great, but this time the stakes are even greater: the collective efficiency of rogues. Quote
Palathadric Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Eric doesn't have a roguish background. He hadn't the time to develop the technique. Barbarians have the tendency to think going Raider makes them all Rogue-like or whatever. Quote

Barbarians have the tendency to think going Raider makes them all Rogue-like or whatever. Plus the fact that he hasn't been using his heroican skills for the last while, probably contributes to the fact that he's a bit out of it Quote
Flipz Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 I'm giving up on Nostrums. My rolls are worse with them than they are without them. Quote

Pandora Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 I see that Pandora hasn't logged on for a few days, do the other questee's just want to go? Hey! I'm right here! I'm in the process of doing stuff, and I'll post in the quest shortly. While I'm here, can I please remind players to refrain from mini-modding, no matter how tempting it may be. Thank you. Quote
Scubacarrot Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Sorry, I checked earlier and it said February 5th or something. Quote

Endgame Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Any ETA on the rest of the Tidings, Sandy? Quote
Khorne Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Mix one part Nostrum with three parts Mead. Shake until adequately mixed than garnish with sprinkle of Smelling Salts. Add Mulled Wine or Ambrosia to taste. Best drunk immediately before or after battle. Come on Khorne, every Rogue knows that recipe. I will not forget again! I swear on the Rogue class ! Aaaand, I'll have to try and add in Mulled Wine for taste and efficiency. Too bad Raiders ain't the golddiggers they used to be, otherwise I'd buy Mulled Wine and other consumables like crazy! Eric doesn't have a roguish background. He hadn't the time to develop the technique. Barbarians have the tendency to think going Raider makes them all Rogue-like or whatever. Do I feel Monk Pretzel's dislike for Eric and Barbarians in general seep through here a bit? Plus the fact that he hasn't been using his heroican skills for the last while, probably contributes to the fact that he's a bit out of it Yes, that is the case here. I was genuinely under the impression I could take all three at once, because I vaguely reminded doing so. But when Kintober told me I couldn't, I remembered Eric took the consumables mostly before the battle, while I thought he did it during. It's aaaall good now, though. Quote
Sandy Posted February 10, 2014 Author Posted February 10, 2014 Any ETA on the rest of the Tidings, Sandy? My calendar looks quite empty for the rest of the week, and I have absolutely no plans for the next weekend, so I should be able to wrap them up this week. Quote
Duvors Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 My calendar looks quite empty for the rest of the week, and I have absolutely no plans for the next weekend, so I should be able to wrap them up this week. There is only one thing that can properly express my emotions. Quote
Endgame Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 My calendar looks quite empty for the rest of the week, and I have absolutely no plans for the next weekend, so I should be able to wrap them up this week. Huzzah! I believe a lot of them left are her-to-hero letters, so hopefully it isn't a massive burden on you, Sandy. Also: I'm noticing less and less QMs specifying a party leader from the get-go. I guess its a dead tradition at this point. Quote
JimBee Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Also: I'm noticing less and less QMs specifying a party leader from the get-go. I guess its a dead tradition at this point. I disagree. I just think it's a situational thing. The heroes of Strivvi have already established a pretty good relationship (partly due to the fact that its the continuation of the same quest, partly because of the chemistry with the characters), so it would be more natural. Other times when a quest has a variety of heroes who may or may not already be acquainted, it would be a waste of time to have an elected party leader. Quote
Zepher Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 It also makes sense as the game goes on - the heroes have opinions of each other. They know who good leaders might be. It allows for interesting role play. I know for a fact that while Boomingham is "sacrificing" his party leadership, that doesn't mean that he won't be bossy, which may lead to a situation with him and the other heroes. It's a different situation than if Ellaria was just "picked". I agree, it works sometimes and doesn't work other times. I think in this situation it will lead to a more fruitful quest for everyone. Kintobor Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Father Josiah's a Black Knight? What kind of mega-block...! All will be explained, young monk. Although, you can probably infer a lot of things if you look at some of his items. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Don't you think those two passive are overpowered when combined? Especially where he starts at 36. Anyhow, just out of interest, what were the mistakes? Quote
Bricksandparts Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Yeah they were pretty overpowered now that I look back at it. The mistakes I made was I forgot the Mercenary's SP and his random affect passive special. Quote
TheBoyWonder Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 They are pretty important B&P. Our strategy may of changed a lot sooner. Quote
Flipz Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Also, Alexander should still be favoring whatever he was favoring at the end of his last Quest (77, I think it was), which I believe is Humanoids (so his damage in the earlier Round should have been tripled). Quote
Bricksandparts Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 I didn't change any of the Mercenary's abilities, so the mistakes in round 1 weren't working against you. But I'll go fix the favored now. The favored is fixed now Quote
