Quest 16 and 17 are shaping up to have some awesome battles. I just hope the former get some luck with their anti-siege weapons - facing 400 soldiers isn't going to be nice to them.

I wish we had that in my country... :hmpf: Honestly, during this time of the year we have sunlight for about six hours per day, and even then it's mostly blocked by the clouds and rain. Damn this rotund planet!

Take some of ours, we have way too much.

Hey, what about the latter?! Don't we deserve some luck???

In other news: stupid player move of the day:

Arthur attempts to climb down the well. "Geronimo! Whoever that is!"

You try to climb down the well, but you slip on the stones and fall in, managing to halt your fall by grabbing onto the rope about ten feet down. The rest of the party has to pull you back out.

You lose 1 Health from severe rope burn on both hands and a minor sprain in your right ankle.

I've been to Florida twice, so I know. I would if I could, trust me.

Pie, you live in Florida? I'm heading that way tomorrow! (Disney World, natch.)

6 hours of sunlight a day? And you're complaining? Shoot, we're getting less than 4 here, right now.

So why host Quests set in sunny, temperate regions and deserts? Why not host Quests set in dark, icy caves far to the North?

Althior grabs the neck of Arthur's shirt, "Easy kid, we need to stick together. I'm not letting you take charge to head to the forest, that duty goes to Xander over there. We also need to know how I attempted to strengthen the walls!"

"I thought I led them!"

"You're a lieutenant, you have as much power as the queen of England!"

"Who's that? Is this going to be four for the fourth wall?"

"Uhmm, no." :look:

But Mrs. Queen has lots of power! :oh3:

Please! She's an advertising figure! Like Uncle Sam or Ronald McDonald!

Now as an American I have no clue what is going on in the world unless it directly affects me, but according to Wikipedia...

The British Monarch, currently Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, is the Chief of State of the United Kingdom. Though she takes little direct part in government, the Crown remains the fount from which ultimate executive power over Government flows. These powers are known as Royal Prerogative and can be used for a vast number of things, such as the issue or withdrawal of passports, to the dismissal of the Prime Minister or even the Declaration of War. The powers are delegated from the Monarch personally, in the name of the Crown, and can be handed to various ministers, or other Officers of the Crown, and can purposely bypass the consent of Parliament.

The head of Her Majesty’s Government, the Prime Minister, also has weekly meetings with the sovereign, where she may express her feelings, warn, or advise the Prime Minister in the Government's work.[13]

In practice, the Royal Perogative powers are almost all delegated to the Government or to Crown officials:

Domestic Powers

The power to dismiss and appoint a Prime Minister (This power is exercised by the Monarch herself. She may choose a Prime Minister of her own choice, though nominally she appoints the individual most capable of commanding the House of Commons) [14]

The power to dismiss and appoint other ministers

The power to summon, prorogue and dissolve Parliament [15]

The power to grant or refuse Royal Assent to bills (making them valid and law) [15]

The power to commission officers in the Armed Forces

The power to command the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom

The power to appoint members to the Queen's Council [16]

The power to issue and withdraw passports

The power to grant Prerogative of mercy (though Capital Punishment is abolished, this power is still used to remedy errors in sentence calculation)

The power to grant honours [17]

The power to create corporations via Royal Charter

Foreign Powers

The power to ratify and make treaties

The power to declare war and Peace [18]

The power to deploy the Armed Forces overseas

The power to recognize states

The power to credit and receive diplomats

Now I am aware that Wikipedia is often wrong or misleading (how dare they reduce the number of Bionicle articles), but on the chance that this is true then the Monarchy still does possess power.

this seems to be fun.

the only problem for new members is that we can not change our signature before we have a couple of posts. so I'll have to wait to join a game..

Welcome to Eurobricks! I'm pretty new here, too, but Once you get acclimated this place is LOADS of fun.

My first step of advice is for you to post an introduction topic in the Hello! My name is... forum. You'll increase your post count towards the magic number 10, and you'll meet lots of friendly members (like Bricksandparts and me) just waiting to welcome you to Eurobricks! I'd also advise taking a look at some of the general discussion topics. Right now, the big ones seem to be the discussion of Lego Lord of the Rings (yay!) and Ninjago 2012 (double yay! ). If you like commenting on amazing models by other builders, there are two custom-built "advent calendars" by two of our very own Heroica players: Brickdoctor's LDD Star Wars Advent Calendar Remix and Bricksandparts' Heroica Advent Calendar. Overall, look around, have fun, and don't be afraid to speak your opinion, and you'll be on your way to joining Heroica.

I have to say that I'm really happy that so many heroes are going to war at the same time. It is obvious that things are becoming a little bit darker in the world of Heroica. Quest 17, 16, and 19 all heavily involve war.
