Kintobor Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Oh, no, I met Lupine I met in my most recent one (91), who looks shockingly like this sick wolf. But we can just chalk it up to being one of the things that Heroicans just don't know. Maybe they are different races, maybe they aren't, maybe it's terminology, maybe Boomingham is confused. Any are acceptable excuses. Lupine then Third and his grandfather Alfendi Lupine are both werewolves, but don't transform into humans. Quote
Duvors Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Lupine then Third and his grandfather Alfendi Lupine are both werewolves, but don't transform into humans. As far as I can tell none of the Terra Chiman species can transform in any way. Quote
Sandy Posted February 14, 2014 Author Posted February 14, 2014 As far as I can tell none of the Terra Chiman species can transform in any way. You're correct; the Terra Chiman werefolk have lost the ability to shapeshift. They can make other people into werefolk, though. Here's the "canon lore" for werefolk from the Embassy, as a reminder: Werefolk Appearance: The prefix of "were" is attached to two types of creatures: humanoids born with bestial features and humanoids turned into beasts later in their lives. There are a multitude of werefolk in Olegaia, ranging from werewolves to werepanthers, werehyenas to werehounds, wererats to werebats. An infected person who becomes a wereperson may gain additional strength and copious hair in their normal shape, but can only reveal their true form when under the light of the full moon. However, the mentally strongest infected werepeople may learn to enact the transformation at will. History: The origins of all werefolk lies in ancient shapeshifting magic. Originally all shapeshifters could change their form at will, but over the ages the magic changed, and most of the shifters got accustomed to a certain form. Some could only change their appearance partially, while others could turn into an animal completely. Thus were born the various tribes of werefolk. The magic can be transferred by blood, so all children of werefolk were born with the same talent as their parents. Blood infusion or biting can also change a normal non-wereperson into one, but it is a risky process that often leads to death. Quote
Flipz Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 (edited) I just realized: happy "anniversary" to Valentine Zeigfried--and to the event that set off so much for so many of us! I can't believe it's been two years since Ethereal Letters... Edited February 14, 2014 by Flipz Quote
Palathadric Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Two years?! Wow! Monk Pretzel needs to start spam-messaging again. Quote
Duvors Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Here's the "canon lore" for werefolk from the Embassy, as a reminder: On the subject of the embassy, may I ask why there aren't any entries on Proggs or Proncanae? I think they deserve some mention. Quote
Endgame Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 (edited) The former is because I haven't gotten around to writing that bestiary yet. Edited February 15, 2014 by Endgame Quote
Cutcobra Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 On the subject of the embassy, may I ask why there aren't any entries on Proggs or Proncanae? I think they deserve some mention. That's the same as asking why there aren't any Pantanans or Ritos or Mopags or Octopials or all the other races that are missing. I think the answer is Sandy still didn't come up with lore for them. Kintobor Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Karie is ironically adept at hexing. I did notice it when I went into the class, since she was originally going to go Sorcerer/Sorceress, but I had, what, one gem? I knew she was going minstrel, so she had to go Witch, and it kind of stuck. She doesn't like the fact that she's hexing people, and if you asked her out on her hypocrisy, she'd use "self defence" as an answer. She doesn't like to hex people, but she does it to ensure others and herself don't get hurt. Quote

Palathadric Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Karie is ironically adept at hexing. Well, with all the time she's spending with Masson and not seeing any signs of procreation, I think we can assume what's going on quite easily. Does Masson have some way of preventing Karie getting into his mind? Quote
Endgame Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Karie had him hexed from the second she walked into that armory in 70, before she was even a witch. Of course, he's loving every second of it. Quote
Palathadric Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 QM Note: A foot of snow, a dentist appointment, a relative vistting, preparations for a future trip, and some actual physical Lego building later... Endgame building with actual bricks! You must be an awesome computer! Quote

These are Selkreeth. Their culture revolves around war and they live in secluded communities in the Kalma Marshlands with a tribal structure, sort of like Bugbears, to give you an idea of what they would wear. Kintobor Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Hey guys, I got a question. Does anyone know which quests the Apothecary appeared in? I'm just looking for a list of people who'd own it, workers, and what not for an upcoming quest. Quote

Waterbrick Down's one about the Crimson Crown and the Gray Plague and the last quest of Zephers Wren story arc, but Waterbrick's is the only quest necessary for reference. Quote
