Kintobor Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Will these undead never die!!! No, that's why their undead. Yeah, it's a bit weird with an undead being healed by a potion and not being incinerated by it, but how else is she going to heal herself, rotting flesh? Wait, hang on a second... Quote
CMP Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 No, that's why their undead. Unless they get a disease somehow that supposedly kills them. Again. Necromancers can sacrifice undead to heal allies. Only, rather than using some kind of magic to do it, Violet could just devour them. Quote

The Legonater Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 I'm a little disturbed you find cannibalism and/or rotting flesh appetizing... Isn't Arthur practically known for eating rotten flesh? Quote

Flipz Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Isn't Arthur practically known for eating rotten flesh? It wasn't rotten at the time. Just raw and wriggling. I need to make a Theatre post on bad roleplaying, because that moment really was a perfect example of it. I literally went, "Okay, Arthur's turning evil and becoming a Sorcerer. What's the most disturbing thing I can make him do to make him Darker and Edgier? Hmm, Skrall mentioned calamari... Arthur eats a person? Perfect!" For reference, boys and girls, that is not the way to do roleplaying. Quote
Kintobor Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Note to self, calamari is the personification of EVIL!! I remember when I would creep the forums before I became a member and reading that. Thank you for hours of amusement, Flipz! Quote
Palathadric Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Em strides into the training room. "I'd like to train to become a Hunter, sir," he states seriously. I think you should go ahead and post your stats. Quote
Flipz Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 I think you should go ahead and post your stats. I'm surprised Em went with Hunter, actually--given he's already got such a huge amount of SP available to him I figured he'd go Warden. Quote
Palathadric Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 I was too, but I think that armour he was supposed to sell and share with his party from what I can recall. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Sarge walks into the hall, humming, drunk. Chugging the same crystal sovereign, he sits down on the same table as Johon and Jeaux and puts his feet up on the table. Sarge hands the 250 gold over. After taking a final sip of the crystal sovereign, he looks at the empty bottle, shrugs, then throws it over his shoulder. Adjusting his leg and pegleg on the table, he reaches over to a neighboring table and grabs a half empty beer bottle. Before downing it he takes a look past his legs at the document. Noticing the hidden blade he nods, then takes a chug of the beer, and sighs. "A Knife? On a glove? *Hic* That mate, would fail. *Hic* Yer see right mate, yer see, that when yer went ter *Hic* stab someone, as yer do, yer see? *Hic*, the blade would just go back into it'self, *hic* cos of the... Whaddayacall it *Hic* Telescopics yer see?! *Hic* It's a knife on a glove *Hic*" This is actually the main thing I didn't like about the hidden blade in Assassin's creed! Finally someone else who realizes this would be a problem! However I have a different version of the hidden blade (I prefer to call mine wrist-blade, considering it isn't necessarily meant to be hidden) Rather than have the blade retract in and out based on the string pulled by the hand (The AC version) I have come up with a version that would use a spring for power so it can pierce defenses and a locking mechanism. The way the user would load it is have a hinge to a piece of armor surrounding the arm, so that when the user bends their arm, it will pull the blade back for another strike. I'm not entirely sure how I want to play this out. On the one hand I have an idea for a model, but I will also need to find an NPC that can and is willing to construct the weapon, considering I have the gold (Which shouldn't be a problem) and the materials to build it. Pyrovisionary Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 *Snip* I had actually considered finding a smith to reforge the Demonic scissors into a hidden blade, but, I'd never got round to it, and probably never will. Good luck in finding someone to make it for Johon! Quote
Emjajoas Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 (edited) I was tempted to go Warden, but I'm not sure it really fits the character that well. Hunter just seems more my style, honestly. Do we have many other wardens, though? I could probably go for it and pay the party out of my own pocket. Edit: Actually, thinking about it, going Warden probably is a better choice. Thanks for the advice! Edited February 24, 2014 by emjajoas Quote

Emjajoas Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 (edited) Thanks! I, uh, did my best. Hopefully now that I'm Warden I'll stop going down every couple quests. :P Edited February 24, 2014 by emjajoas Quote
Kintobor Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Wow, Em's SP is amazing! I'd say your next acquirement should be a shield, even a half decent one. I'd even suggest swapping the Frost Helmet for the Anniversary Medal at this point, since there aren't a lot of ice enemy encounters, and the added HP would be really beneficial to you, what with Aura and all. It won't take you that long to get to level 20. Also, I guess I'll post this here, I got three quests in the works. A "Four's Company" sequel, the third instalment to the Haerasias's Vault arc, which will be up a little while after Baltarok finishes up, and hopefully the fourth instalment to the Syndicate arc! Ooh, nice. Shame you picked the Hincks as employers on Four's Company, otherwise I'd ask about Shadeaux rep on the sequel; any chance of it on the Syndicate quest? Quote
Emjajoas Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Can I equip the Anniversay Medal and the armour at the same time? They're both artifacts. I forget the rule about equipping artifacts and forgot where I saw it. But yeah, I'm going to work on grabbing a shield asap. Might just buy a cheap one from the marketplace, idk. Quote

You can wear up to two Artifacts at a time at your Level (you can wear 3 once you hit 20), but you can only wear one Artifact in a given slot. The armor only takes up the Boot, Bodywear, and Handwear slots (but counts as only one Artifact), while the Anniversary Medal is an Accessory. (Another advantage of the medal is that it'll go up in all its stats again in August. ) Quote
Myrddyn Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 (edited) But yeah, I'm going to work on grabbing a shield asap. Might just buy a cheap one from the marketplace, idk. Pretzel has three shields. When he gets back from #92 Em might be able to buy one off him. Well, he uses one. Two of them he doesn't really use. Edited February 25, 2014 by Myrddyn Quote
Emjajoas Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 I'll keep that in mind, thanks! If I haven't arranged anything else by the time you get back to the hall I'll gladly buy one from you. Quote
Myrddyn Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Oh hold on, I'm not Pretzel. He's Palathadric. I just meant to point out that other people have shields you could probably get a better deal on, rather than the marketplace, and Pretzel was the first example that came to mind. Quote
