Bricksandparts Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Alright, then...oh, joeshmoe signed up for the Fields; he's an Evoker and he's about the same Level as emjajoas. That makes six, Quarry, Palathadric, Bricksandparts, emjajoas, joeshmoe, and myself. Is that team good with you guys? Sounds good to me! Gather the group in the hall topic and I'll sign up for the group. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Sounds good to me! Gather the group in the hall topic and I'll sign up for the group. Let's wait to hear what the other four think before doing anything like that. Also, would you guys mind if I was signed up as party leader? Haven't done it in a while, and I enjoy the strategy. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 I think you would be the best as party leader. I mean you're the strategist, not so much a roleplayer.. I'm not the greatest strategist anyways, and don't even necessarily feel like being PL in general. Also, everyone in this group, please state about how long you plan on staying in the fields. Quote
Emjajoas Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Sounds good to me. I'll be on the fields for a while, at least; there aren't many quests for which I'd go out of my way to go on coming up aside from Endgame's Finale. And I'm down for you being PL, Brickdoctor; I'm not the biggest fan of it. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 With regards to duration, I'd like to stay long enough to get at least to 50 GP (ten battles); the reward at that stage is the first of the GP rewards that's worth spending time in the Fields for, in my opinion. Not that I mind if we stay longer so that you can get Medals of Glory, of course. Quote
Emjajoas Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 I might save up for the Medal of Glory, maybe even the Pitchfork, but I'm prooooobably just going to aim for the Mythril and some gold. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Getting 22 battles in would be ideal (enough for the medal), although I don't know if we will get even close to that amount. Since you've had experience in the fields, about how long would that take in real time? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Wait, did I miss the rewards getting changed for the Fields? I could've sworn that the last time I went, the Medal was the 100 GP reward and the Mythril was worth 200 or 250. Bricksandparts, are you sure you want to switch to Berserker and take away that pure offensive capability of Raider in exchange for the ability to use shields, when there are already three Knight-class heroes in the proposed party? Quote
Bricksandparts Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 (edited) So about how long do you think it would take to do 22 battles with the group we have? Also I changed to Berserker for the fields, considering it will be much more effective. I don't know, It seems that berserker would be more effective to me. More powerful hits, less damage taken, just no gold (which I can't get anyways). Also, if I get shield, We will all be encouraged, quickening the battle considerably. More powerful hits, less damage taken, just no gold (which I can't get anyways) Is it more powerful? Sorry, it's been a while since I've taken a good look at the classes. Alright then.I think the battles might be a little slower for us, with most of us being significant-part-tank/healer. The last time I got up to around the 120 GP mark and that took us about six months, if I remember correctly, so I think that this trip might easily run over a year if you want to get up to 250 GP. Medal of Glory and Mythril prices were switched for balancing reasons. Okay, thanks; I missed that. Quote
JimBee Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Bricksandparts, if you want to go on the FoG I'm going to have to ask you to edit your stats to look like the standard (see Sandy's first post in the Statistics topic), or at least something similar. I can't properly read any of your items or stats and there's a lot of pointless stuff in there. Sorry I don't have the time to edit/format them myself. Quote
Flipz Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Also B&P, there's no need for the shield, if you're going with Docken he can just lend you his spare. (Unless he sold it without me noticing. ) Quote

(Unless he sold it without me noticing. ) I was actually going to lend my second shield to emjajoas; he's much more likely to get overwhelmed by the high number of enemies in the Fields during an Aura. Good point. In that case, though, it'd probably be better to use some Gold to just upgrade Em's shield to SP:5, with Em paying Johon back later--poisoning is super useful, especially now that it stacks. Quote

Of course in me trying to make them shorter I make them more confusing... Can you read the descriptions of the artifacts? If so I'll just reformat the order if that's all you need. Also B&P, there's no need for the shield, if you're going with Docken he can just lend you his spare. (Unless he sold it without me noticing. ) Whatever, I might be able to use it in the future. It was only 50G anyways. Quote
Flipz Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 I really want to do a Fields run as a Skirmisher once I've had a Quest as a Dragoon. Skirmisher is REALLY fun for Fields play. Whatever, I might be able to use it in the future. It was only 50G anyways. See above. Quote

How big was the party in this instance? Also, with 6 people, possibly encouraged, an undead army, and some already fairly powerful heroes, we might be able to halve or even quarter the time it takes, especially if we knock out easier, faster enemies to get more levels first. If you can trade GP (Which I believe you can), and I don't get to 250, I may offer to buy some of the points off of other party members... Quote

Bricksandparts Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 You can travel back through locations to get to another location as long as you defeated the enemies there already, right? For example, visiting all easy locations before medium or hard. You can't, sorry. Oh... Quote

If so I'll just reformat the order if that's all you need. I mean I can read your stats, but the way you have them written out is so confusing and not good for running battles quickly and efficiently. If you could make the formatting and organization similar to how Sandy and many other players have it, that'd be great. Quote
