Brickdoctor Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 How big was the party in this instance? Oh, that's a good point; I think that was only with four. Just remember that the QM can adapt the enemies, so it won't necessarily be any faster just because the party is stronger. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Raguel is a fool, Don't you agree? Hoke is ready to throw down! Quote
Bricksandparts Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Hence why I tried my best to shorten artifact descriptions. Quote

Flipz Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 On a general LEGO complain-y note: Why did LEGO never make a round shield for the Lion Knights? (Also, does anyone know of/have a decent Lion Knight decal design I could print out on label paper, cut out, and stick to a round shield piece?) Quote
Brickdoctor Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 On a general LEGO complain-y note: Why did LEGO never make a round shield for the Lion Knights? (Also, does anyone know of/have a decent Lion Knight decal design I could print out on label paper, cut out, and stick to a round shield piece?) I actually like the idea that the Lions don't use any round shields; the round ones (both stereotypically and somewhat historically) are generally associated with the Vikings or older armies like the Greeks, while the Lions, whose society revolves around the knight, have the later heater shield, which is the shape most people think of on knights and in coats of arms, and the kite shield it developed from. The round shields are only used for older Lion Knights, the 'Classical Lion Knights' in the Dastan flashback, when the Lions are a cross between the Crusader subtheme and the CMF Spartan. Palathadric Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 II think the battles might be a little slower for us, with most of us being significant-part-tank/healer. The last time I got up to around the 120 GP mark and that took us about six months, if I remember correctly, so I think that this trip might easily run over a year if you want to get up to 250 GP. Don't forget that with the QM challenges one can reach the required GP much, much faster. I got somewhere around 50 GP in our last stint in my last stint in the Fields and I think we only did like 8 battles or so. Quote

Kintobor Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Anyone on 95: I hate to say this and do this, but I'll pay double the price for the Mask of the Gender-Swap. I really want that item! Quote
Bricksandparts Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Does the loaded die deal sound fair? I wanted it to be expensive and creative Quote
Cutcobra Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 (edited) I hate to say this but I'll pay twice what Kintobor is paying... if we succed in our current quest... Edited March 24, 2014 by Cutcobra Quote
joeshmoe554 Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 I think the heroes could probably resell the loaded die and quickdraw quiver for a decent profit as well. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 (edited) I didn't actually find out the statistical price of the loaded die and am too lazy to figure it out. Anyone wanna calculate it? All I know is that it's pretty high Edited March 24, 2014 by Bricksandparts Quote
Kintobor Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 I'm pretty sure the loaded die was an item Sandy had nerfed due to it being incredibly OP. He made it, though. Quote
joeshmoe554 Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 When you say "If the hero rolls 4 or 5 twice", are you referring to twice in a row, or twice per wager? Quote
Bricksandparts Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 per wager. I love how the first loaded die was in one of the shortest quests, and not even from a battle. Quote
Palathadric Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 (edited) In case you didn't ask Sandy yet, I strongly advise that you do so, Bricksandparts. As far as the Fields of Glory are concerned. I'd prefer to have the option open to leave in case a quest pops up that I really want to go on, but I don't mind staying in for a while otherwise. And by all means Brickdoctor for Party Leader sounds highly acceptable. Edited March 24, 2014 by Palathadric Quote

You might be right. If it becomes an issue, I'll see if I can make it a dulled down version, giving a half chance to be lucky each round or something similar. Quote
JimBee Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Or just don't have it at all. I think the community decided long ago that the Loaded Die or anything similar would be overpowered. Quote
CMP Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 250 for the Quickdraw Quiver is pretty crazy, too. Quote
Flipz Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 250 for the Quickdraw Quiver is pretty crazy, too. It's a little cheap, but given there's only one in stock and it's limited to Ranger-classes I'm OK with it. Hastened is the least overpowered of the three main buffs, especially in the current meta. Given that two turns means double chances of rolling damage AND double Free Hits, I'd say it's not a huge deal. (Actually, now that I think of it, I wouldn't be opposed to the prices of Smelling Salts and Meads being swapped. I mean, it'd be a nerf to my strategy, but I think it's pretty well established that if I find something to be an optimal solution, there's about a 50% chance it needs to be nerfed anyway. ) Quote

If I need to, I'll remove the loaded die and/or the quiver. I share the view of Flipz about the quiver, but speaking of the die, look at bravado boots. Currently, the most useful artifacts tend to be accessories or body armor, yet the bravado boots give a 1/6 chance of lucky effect. Quote
Zepher Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Flipz, I must commend you for keeping both the Lion Knights story and Wren story alive, even though the storylines themselves have concluded. It's good to hear the whispering ghosts of what we've laid down! Quote
