Flipz Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Endgame has a tradition of allowing ludicrous amounts of snark toward his mini-bosses, who am I to break with tradition, even if it means snarking at the opportunity to toss out snark? And wow, did I really manage to start two new pages in a row? Quote
Endgame Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Well, they are pretty fun, but it does seem to get to the point of him literally pulling out all stops to push us to the absolutely limits. In which case, I love it! Bingo. My quests are tests of character, but literal and figurative. Endgame has a tradition of allowing ludicrous amounts of snark toward his mini-bosses, who am I to break with tradition, even if it means snarking at the opportunity to toss out snark? Yeah, well, nothing says "get serious" like a sudden twist in tradition. Quote
Sandy Posted May 1, 2014 Author Posted May 1, 2014 Welcome to the game, The Chosen Minifigure! Your sign-up looks good, except that you should start out with a weapon that has WP:3. Also, here's an avatar-sized picture of your character. Please copy and paste it to your statistics post. Quote
Kintobor Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 I got a quest I just edited and sent to Sandy for approval. We'll see what he thinks, but I hope to run a quest for our newer hall arrivals shortly. Quote

Kintobor Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Don't worry Baltorakers, my next quest is not the Shadeux quest I've been working on, but Sandy has approved my next quest and it will be a quest for our newer heroes. As well, the Shadeux quest has also been approved, so once the trilogy ends, expect that to go up too. Quote
Flipz Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Just noticed: in the Fields of Glory, the Bloody Bugs should have taken damage from the Ice Bomb, 10 since they're Vermin. Also, interesting enemy concept: an enemy that has one fixed type (probably Mechanical, Ancient, or Ethereal given the ability) and a passive special that switches its secondary type every Round--either picking a type immune to the last attack to hit it, or else just one chosen at random. Would make for a very interesting fight in a party full of Mages. Quote

Kintobor Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Welcome to the game, The Chosen Minifigure! As a heads up, you can sign up for more than one quest, something I'd recommend doing. Quote
Palathadric Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Morph Weapon: Change your weapon's type to another type of your choice, costs 150 gold. What a beauty! I should never have sold the Muckraker or Combrys! Quote
JimBee Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 What a beauty! I should never have sold the Muckraker or Combrys! If only I could change the Banana Bladerang to a bow... Quote
Quarryman Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 I'm seriously drooling at that morph weapon service, would have been great to change the crystal mace into something a mage can use.. Quote
JimBee Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 I guess it could instantly kill anything that was even a little bit undead, but that would be kind of anticlimactic. Well I assume that ruling was made so that Phoenix Essences and Health Cores had different effects on Undead, even though in theory they would do the same thing. So using a Phoenix Essence would also be rather anticlimactic, but those are too expensive to use on enemies. Quote

I don't remember what I've ruled in the past about this, but I usually pair my undead enemies with an immunity to sudden death just in case someone thinks of pulling a stunt like this. Quote
CMP Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 On an unrelated issue, would using a Health Core on an Undead monster kill it? Dammit... I better fix the description. Maybe it should be added to the FAQ? Quote
Palathadric Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 I thought Health Cores are more expensive than Phoenix Essences, but actually I'm probably wrong. Then again, Health Cores can't be bought at the Marketplace last time I checked. Quote

Sandy Posted May 3, 2014 Author Posted May 3, 2014 Phew! Ten letters left to write for the Tidings event. I should be able to get them done tomorrow, guys. Now I need to go add some new shoes to Fabian's store, like I promised many months ago. Quote
Kintobor Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 I was going to say something about the Fenghuang Essence being redundant next to the Emergency Essence, but after reading both's description they're different enough to warrant the Fenguang's existence. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Apparently shorthand words are a thing of the past as well Quote

Yeah, you need to use Fenghuang Essence in advance to essentially be protected from getting knocked out once. Plus it has a cooler name. Quote
