Palathadric Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Not all of them can be Karie's long lost sisters, though. But they could all be Sorrow's long lost grandchildren, right? Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 (edited) You have an SP 20 shield. Think how long it'll take for a newbie to get one of them. Your'e already rolling around in OP gear, I don't think that you really need more. Around 10 months, with a lot of luck. Let's not forget the OP mess that was Sarge at level 16. A moment of silence for that battle that Sandy balanced that the party of #74 decimated I can't wait for quest 100, providing I get onto it. A little thing is that I may be slightly stretched for time for the next week or two, exams and such but I should still be active. EDIT: I GOT A TITLE!!! Edited May 8, 2014 by Pyrovisionary Quote
Cutcobra Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 It would be really funny if Melissa turned out to be the Knight of the quest while Lyren doesn't know how to fight. By the way, are we only going to get all the basic job classes and all the veterqn job classes as NPC fighters? Or will there be an expert or an advanced one? Quote
Endgame Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 I wonder if... Horcan, i want to say his name is...? Is a rogue or something. Quote
Zepher Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 I love NPC allies. It's always a lot of fun to design them, and I really love the ones that Sandy has been tossing in this quest! Quote

Endgame Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 I killed him via inaction - since all of my actions in the sidequest were instantly twisted to become evil and cause chaos, my solution was to do nothing and hoping it'd cause the story to stop. And then everyone died. Quote

Endgame Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 (edited) Well, if every time you do something it kills nobles, friendly people, and spawns an abomination from hell, you'd stop too! Edited May 8, 2014 by Endgame Quote

Flare Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 I'd rather the gap become smaller rather then larger. What are you, a commie?! How about the new players spend time to earn rewards instead of giving them everything right away, to make them at the same level as people who have been devoted to the game since its existence!? Sorrow isn't that senile! You sure about that? Quote
Myrddyn Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 (edited) For Pete's sakes why were there free hits!? Both enemies were targeted and neither are hastened. Also why didn't the Blood Ritual heal Benji? He was not at full health. Raguel was not targeted; he can't be, until Cassandra is down. Blood Ritual in this battle only heals people in the same area as Haldor. Haldor is in the Eastern Border, so it only heals heroes in the Eastern Border. Also, while I agree that Hoke has achieved his power level fairly, the Foxtail is still Zakura/Mizuki's item, to sell or keep as she sees fit. What are you, a commie?! How about the new players spend time to earn rewards instead of giving them everything right away, to make them at the same level as people who have been devoted to the game since its existence!? As I've said already in this post, I don't completely disagree with your comment. However, the assumption that Communism is all about giving new people things for nothing is not actually (EDIT:) entirely correct. Here is the Wikipedia article, which you may or may not wish to read. I wouldn't read it myself, it's pretty dry and quite long. Anyway, suffice to say that Communism is in fact not a completely ridiculous concept, and despite some drawbacks, actually has certain advantages over Capitalism. Sorry, meant to put "entirely" in there somewhere. I've edited it in now. Edited May 9, 2014 by Myrddyn Quote
Flipz Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 If you're really looking for someone "weak" to sell the Foxtail to, might I suggest Grimwald or one of the newbie Heroes of the Baltarok trilogy? All of them are talented, dedicated players who are in sore need of some good loot. Quote
StickFig Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 (edited) ...and despite some drawbacks... As an expat living in South Korea, I need only look north to notice those drawbacks... From the Rules & FAQ thread: What do y'all think of a in character bartering topic? Instead of posting notes in the Hall/Marketplace, there can be a Bazaar where PCs post items they are willing to trade/sell. Figured it would be in the index & easily found. I am wondering if it would actually facilitate and encourage trading/selling. As soon as the Baltarok quests are over, I'm planning on trading for a new weapon for Matthias - finding something that's rotting in someone's inventory rather than making those Marketplace Merchant capitalist pig-dogs richer than they already are (I assume). In any case, I haven't seen much trading go on between players that would be made any easier by a special topic, but I am planning on having Matthias "post" a wanted ad next to the quest board in the hall. I hope that's not pushing the rules of what characters are allowed to do? P.S. - If anyone has any ranged weapons lying around gathering dust and wants to make a couple of hundred quid quick, send me a note! Edited May 9, 2014 by nstickney Quote
Myrddyn Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 (edited) As an expat living in South Korea, I need only look north to notice those drawbacks... Yes, certainly, I can't disagree with that. North Korea is one of many examples of a, shall I say, "less-than-optimal" Communist government. *Edit: Note: I realise "less-than-optimal" is an understatement. In case that wasn't clear over the internet. I am planning on having Matthias "post" a wanted ad next to the quest board in the hall. I hope that's not pushing the rules of what characters are allowed to do? I believe that is accepted; I assume you mean similar to this, but saying something like "wish to buy" rather than "for sale"? And on the subject of trading items, Khorne/Eric seems like he would possibly be interested in buying Scorpiox/Haldor's Ognar's Beard, just in case Scorpiox and/or Khorne was not aware of this potential trade. But its pretty much as close to communism as this game can get. Communism is not a completely ridiculous concept (I also never claimed such), but it has little chance of success on a large scale platform, for example a country. Edited May 9, 2014 by Flare Quote

Ow god yes, that would be so awesome . Too bad I don't have a lot to barter with. Like I said I really don't want to lose my Boots of Evasion, so they're not up for trade and only have 200-ish gold. Also, I don't think Scorpiox ever stated that he'd wish to get rid off or sell/trade Ognar's Beard, did he? Or did he say something about it in-quest that I missed? Still, the Beard combined with my Boots would be total win . Thanks for the heads up, other-Eric EDIT: Other than my gold, I also happen to own the spectacular Crocodile Belt! That's up for grabs if anyone cares. Maybe I should post a notice in the Hall. Edited May 9, 2014 by Khorne Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 I have conspirator lying around so anyone who wants that, I'll sell it to. Also, not enough people for quest #100 thit means the date's gonna be pushed back until more people, more competition for a place, come and signup. Also, Is anyone else noticing a load of Xbox One ads on the forums? Quote
Palathadric Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 I have conspirator lying around so anyone who wants that, I'll sell it to. Oooo, Conspirator! I need to buy that. If I had a base class that could wield that sword I never would've given it out. Quote
Endgame Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 "You can trust us because you've seen us on TV." Clearly not, since even diplomacy didn't sway her one bit. Quote
