Also, I don't think Scorpiox ever stated that he'd wish to get rid off or sell/trade Ognar's Beard, did he? Or did he say something about it in-quest that I missed? Still, the Beard combined with my Boots would be total win :wub: . Thanks for the heads up, other-Eric :tongue:

Yeah, I don't recall him saying he wanted to sell it. :shrug_oh_well:

I never said thats what it was. But its pretty much as close to communism as this game can get.

Communism is not a completely ridiculous concept (I also never claimed such), but it has little chance of success on a large scale platform, for example a country.

Oh, fair enough. I saw the word "commie" in there, and that seems to get thrown around a lot by people who don't understand communism. Sorry I made that assumption incorrectly. :blush:

Clearly not, since even diplomacy didn't sway her one bit.

But speaking diplomatically on TV? Entirely different story. Besides chirls are supposed to love TV. :tongue:

Someone on a quest telling me I can't loot the place? What is the world coming to? Pretzel was right. It must be the demons' corrupting influence. :sadnew:

What a disciple! :wub::laugh:

Huh, I never noticed that in Quest 4 before. Not downright snarky or odd, but definitely among the most unique in all of Heroica. :thumbup:

I'm trying to figure out how well it works in a Heroica setting, since a quest I am planning may have 9 different narrators...

Posted

Quest 4 was my trying to be more like an NPC than a GM. It was awkward and limiting for me and I think it was hard for other people to tell how I was speaking whenever I posted, which is why I used a more traditional GM/DM/QM style for Quest 17.

I'm actually debating whether to have a first person narrator for 101. The quest giver is with the party for the entire quest, so I thought it might be fitting.

It was posted in the mechanics that AoE Shields only affect the section you're in.

Yes. It wasn't a complain or fuss about any unclearness in the rules, just a wistful sigh that a good roll was effectively wasted.

I think that for players who've been around longer (and with warning that the QM would be doing so), the first-person narration wouldn't be so confusing. It was certainly one of the most interesting and immersive styles we've seen here so far. :wink:

It also made a LOT of sense in a narrative fashion--Shawe reporting the events of the Quest to his superiors. It made the ending twist even more powerful. :thumbup:

EDIT: @Pandora, I understand now why you went with Fire for Nyx. That element's a lot more useful than I previously gave it credit for. :thumbup:
