Yeah, there has been a lot of lore. The library sort of serves as that, but only Sandy can post in it. I think we are talking about collecting the already existing lore.

Quit yer yappin and autoroll my rounds!

Won't autorolling mean anyone KO'd can't be revived before the end? Is that fair?

Not if everyone would follow the plan! ChromeKnight has already laid out a plan to get Guts & Cinna up. PCs just need to list their action and PARTICIPATE!

Not sure why you didn't follow the plan we had laid out. Should have just hung out in the Central tower and not took an action. Winnable battle with no more KOs, but PCs want to tempt their fates...

I have work in 45 minutes :cry_sad: . These rounds take a while to run.

No doubt! I'm just messing with you! Hopefully you know that by now.

You've all had your ups and downs and honestly the chaos and randomness of things not going exactly as planned adds to the realism of the entire situation. Oh and I love how everyone always assumes NPC are revived at the end of the battle as well, apparently all characters are now covered by the Veteran's protection spell these days. :look:

I've tried following the layout plans/suggestions but i guess i missed that one in the round before. When i posted my action I hadn't seen anyone suggest anything, the "nobody attack" was after i was down. I've been sick since last Wed and I've barely been able to even keep up with things.

It's ok, life happens. There is now a plan in place for Cinna & Guts to be revived the next round. Check CK's battle plan.

I did see that plan, maybe a lot of the KOs i saw that werent Cinna and Guts are NPCs...I thought it was more than the two. :classic:

Personally not worried about NPC as they don't get XP. Sure they come in handy, but top priority goes to PCs.

I think all of our NPCs so far this quest have been revived after the battles. Why should that change now? We are only playing how the QMs have ran it so far. Wouldn't seem fair to change it now and gyp the PCs.

Your NPC's yes, Quest 90's NPC haven't been KO'd at the end of a battle yet. Not that it would cause a quest failure or anything, but storytelling wise it could have an affect.

Also, we need some new type of mechanism of transport. Whether that be portals, teleporting spells, or even high-speed (ether?) mine-shafts. Whatever is chosen however, a solution needs to be found, and with it, a counter-reason to use it. It can't be too powerful, lest, it'd ruin mechanics for quests that are meant to go through a long journey. I mean just look at this map, there is too much going on in Eubric, and anything outside of it is relatively unheard of.

Brickdoctor invented an overland travel system that could be modified for overseas travel, it was used in Quest Four, Flare used a similar system in Quest Forty Two.

There ought to be a Low Kingdom's Canal Digging quest at some point. How are people supposed to get to the other side of the world without sailing the opposite direction?

Ummm, I think that...

Look, if anyone is planning on doing a quest like that will they please PM me?

That isthmus is also pretty close to the orcish territories... I'm thinking an army encamped on the western side, fleet on the eastern side, hundreds of enslaved giant orcs and trolls dragging oversized plows across the land, rolling on huge logs. Like Return of the King siege towers and battering rams, but with farm equipment. (Okay, that sounds kind of ridiculous and demeaning when I write it out; in my mind it looks a lot more epic. [A 'quintessential medieval fantasy trope' sort of epic, not a 'slavery is epic' thing.])

Actually I think that orc slavery isn't used in the Low Kingdoms, still, it would be nice if this orc slavery thing played a major part in a quest, most of it seems to go on offscreen at the moment.

I think autorolling stops if a KO occurs.

That's not true. Several others have contributed their share of the in-game lore into the Library topic (like Khorne with the Vikings, for example). It is still acceptable to do so.

Shadeaux rep makes me more willing than usual to ensure my success. :poke:

Cinna, Y U No take that Seductive Perfume? Why is no one else jumping for it, for that matter? It's crazily powerful, and lets you tank things like nothing else because you literally become immune to *everything* from the Enamored enemy. :sceptic:

Still have to do a little bit more to get it, although it isn't nearly as difficult as the battle, and isn't even failable. (You still gotta complete the quest, though.)

I thought I already had it...maybe I don't. Could have sworn thre was a battle with sirens that dropped that same thing and cinna was the only female.

I would never use that mechanic again. It was boring, it was repetitive, it bogged down the quest progression, and it forced players to fight battles that didn't have any effect on the rest of the quest. It's either giveaway XP with weak enemies in order to speed battles up, or it's high offense, low defense enemies to speed battles up, which creates the risk of the party being KO'd and failing a quest doing something that they didn't choose to do and which does nothing to move them towards the quest's goal.

Unless the quest is focused solely on getting from one point to another on the map, any rigid travel mechanics sacrifice too much of the quest's enjoyability for the sake of realism.

Don't see it--Namyrra ended up with the one from Quest 50.

Out of curiosity, what class is Cinna planning to advance to when she hits Level 30? Dragoon? (Guessing purely based on Artifacts. )

Yeah, Namyrra has it from Quest 50 and it's an artifact, not a consumable. But I think you're getting the enamored effect confused - it doesn't make you immune to everything, it simply doesn't allow enemies to attack you. If it came down to Free Hits I think the person wearing the Perfume would just avoid all hits, which would be passed to the other party members at their own detriment.

Oh, and for the Perfume to actually become effective you'd have to hit the enemy first.

So if a Mystic Knight gets a Spellspin, she could attack anything she wanted without fear of retribution. Granted, it wouldn't prevent enemies from buffing or healing themselves, but I would argue it would prevent AoE Specials. Also, Enamored has never skipped down the Battle Order before--Alexis has absorbed Free Hits that way in the past, I believe.

In any event, I invite you to imagine Cinna with Seductive Perfume rolling a Spellspin with the Pheles Rod (now a dagger)...

(That said, it'd actually be really useful for Tensi--since she's stuck on a target until it's dead, she'd benefit a LOT from not taking Damages and Counters thanks to the perfume. )
