Endgame Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 (edited) Yeah, sure, loot the guy while he's in his deathbed. Edited May 14, 2014 by Endgame Quote
Kintobor Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Heckz will be sure to loot his body! I mean... Heckz will be sure to make amends with him before he dies! ... so he can loot his body without feeling guily about it. Hello? Number one great x17 grand daughter over here! Quote
Duvors Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 It'll prevent his hand from getting amputated. he's still going to die, though. I hate this kind of prearranged character killing-off.I prefer the character to become an NPC first. Quote
Endgame Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 But seriously, you're born, you live, you die. Sorrow has dodged death for 428 years. He isn't going to be able to shurg off the reaper forever, or even for another year or two. I hate this kind of prearranged character killing-off. I prefer the character to become an NPC first. I can't say I understand your hatred for it. Sometimes players want to start anew. Sorro's old, and everything has been tied up. What other end is there for him? Quote
Cutcobra Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Hello? Number one great x17 grand daughter over here! Hello? Number one greediest egotistic douche over here! Yeah, sure, loot the guy while he's in his deathbed. Oh please, his normal bed is his deathbed. Quote
Myrddyn Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Hello? Number one great x17 grand daughter over here! Hey, I was on his first quest! Surely that entitles me to at least his helmet! The rest of you can fight over everything else. I thought he was going necromancer though? I hate this kind of prearranged character killing-off. I prefer the character to become an NPC first. Dude, you hate everything. Quote
Flipz Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 *Re-checks 96.* NOPE. NOPE NOPE NOPE. *Walks away.* Never, ever, EVER go into a building or a club with inadequate fire safety precautions, ESPECIALLY exits that are blocked and/or missing. Does the Station Fire ring any bells for anyone? Quote
CMP Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Never, ever, EVER go into a building or a club with inadequate fire safety precautions, ESPECIALLY exits that are blocked and/or missing. Does the Station Fire ring any bells for anyone? You're completely right. This building lacks any kind of emergency exit. We'll burn the whole damn thing to the ground. Quote
Flipz Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Seriously, if Nyx lights a fireball in there, EVERYONE inside has less than a minute to live. Quote
CMP Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Seriously, if Nyx lights a fireball in there, EVERYONE inside has less than a minute to live. We'll save that for Plan C. Quote
Flipz Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Sorry, I'm not complaining about the Quest, it's just...I'm a technical theatre person. Things like that tend to weigh quite heavily on my mind, that's all. Seriously, though, if you go into a club like that in real life, expect to die. Quote
Vash the Stampede Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 He's 428 years old, there isn't much to it. Only 428? Whimp. Quote
Flare Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 The XP in Q90 is messed up. Benji should be [38.75+(.25*6=1.5)] Level 40.2 (and grats on hitting 40! That was REALLY quick! ) Thanks! Quote
Darkdragon Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Seriously, though, if you go into a club like that in real life, expect to die. If you go pretty much anywhere in the Heroica quests in real life, expect to die. Quote
Kintobor Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 First Tarn, and now possibly Haldor? It's the end of an era. I'm going to miss that guy. He and Karie were two characters I wanted to get to see a quest together with. Quote
CMP Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 If you go pretty much anywhere in the Heroica quests in real life, expect to die. True. Road to the nearest city? Blue Assassins. Dinner party? Red and Blue Assassins. Abandoned house? There's a dragon living underneath it. Staying at an inn for a night? There's a necromancer next door. Crossing a bridge? You're walking into a warzone. Quote

If I went on a quest that didn't have battles and assassins and monsters, I'd expect there to be some really cool lore/character development/loot, or I'd be really disappointed. Quote

I know, I'm saying it's probably for the best that these places don't really exist, because walking anywhere would be a death trap. Quote

Palathadric Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Only 428? Whimp. Not you again! Sorrow's helmet is so mine. It would be a lovely addition to the Strategist's Shako. Quote
Vash the Stampede Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Not you again! Is this in character or have I done something? Because I can't tell right now. Quote
Duvors Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Dude, you hate everything. I take it that I have to add a tongue smiley every time I make a joke now. Quote
Kintobor Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 I take it that I have to add a tongue smiley every time I make a joke now. Protip to Everyone: Sarcasm rarely ever, ever, ever, works over online chat. If you use sarcasm, add a smiley. Quote

I think it's the fact that it doesn't really seem like you are joking though. The italics on the 'hate' just seem to reinforce the idea that you really did hate it. Quote
