Wait, we have to fight an armchair?:tongue:

Is it weird that my reaction was "Hooray! We get to fight a chair!"? Cronk happy to bash anything as long as Cronk bashing something.

Look at it this way, at least we're not killing some poor innocent guard dog.

I'm really sorry, but I may be unusually silent for the next seven days. I am being subjected to an unexpected vacation without much computer access. I will still try to catch up every day, and it might not effect the game at all. But either way if I had known, I would not have signed up for one of the first quests so that someone who can devote more time to the game could play. If at any time you decide you want to replace me, that would be ok. Sorry again. :cry_sad:

We just got our 46th player joining into the game. I'm overwhelmed!

In fact, I'm so overwhelmed that I will update my statistics, since a whopping twenty players have joined after I made them.

PLAYER CHARACTERS BY JOB CLASS:

Barbarians: 8 (5 new)

Clerics: 4 (0 new?!)

Knights: 10 (4 new)

Mages: 6 (4 new)

Rangers: 10 (4 new)

Rogues: 8 (3 new)

PLAYER CHARACTERS BY GENDER:

Female: 10 (3 new)

Male: 35 (17 new)

Unknown: 1 (0 new)

PLAYER CHARACTERS BY RACE:

Dwarf: 1 (1 new)

Elf: 5 (1 new)

Fenarian: 1 (1 new)

Giant: 1 (1 new)

Half-Elf: 1 (1 new)

Halfling: 2 (1 new)

House-elf: 1 (1 new)

Human: 29 (11 new)

Imp: 1 (0 new)

Ogre: 1 (1 new)

Orc: 2 (1 new)

Unknown: 1 (0 new)

There's something to think about when you create a character. You should of course create a character you're comfortable playing as, but it's important to stand out from the crowd, too, eh?

Thanks for the updated statistics, Sandy. What I found most interesting was the number of people who picked the same ages.

What is also alarming is the lack of Clerics. Perhaps an incentive for more people to join as Clerics would be the fact that they would get into quests easier (since there are so few of them).

Well, this shows us how much effort Sandy puts into this great game, I wonder if we will ever reach 100?

It's been basically two weeks and we're almost at 50 already. I'd say we'll get 100 by the New Year at the latest.

I might be a little quiet tomorrow for family reasons. So if i'm quiet, don't panic, I wasn't hit by a bus.

But JimB, If that's an incentive then a lot of people will join as Clerics and then I'll be an endangered species again. Yipee!

Edit 2: I can't type today! :hmpf_bad:

Elgar sat down to eat his cow, this time not having to worry about arrows  .

Lucky! I'm stuck on a quest with this guy! Just kidding Capt. John Paul, don't shoot me in the quest.

Evidently people aren't too excited by the prospect of joining a Quest just to heal their fellow warriors. Though as JimButcher pointed out, that just means you get into more quests and you have a higher chance of surviving the battle and gaining XP.

Man, I was so sure when I picked Ranger that I'd picked a less common class. I thought Rogue, Knight, and Mage would be the most popular.

You'd think that Ranger wouldn't be that popular because of the low health it starts with. That's why I'm surprised there aren't more Clerics.

I had thought about being a cleric at first, but, at the beginning, it looked like there were a lot of clerics.

Sandy - is it ok if I change characters?

But in battles as long as you stay in the back row, you essentially double your health by taking half damage.

I thought the same thing. As I was reading down the list of classes, I thought 'It's gotta be one of these three', and I ended up choosing Rogue. It seems the Knight is pretty powerful though, so I can't blame those who chose it.

True, I never thought of it that way.

Though from the hints we've been given about advanced classes, the Necromancer (Cleric/Rogue hybrid) sounds appealing. Maybe once they're all revealed after someone reaches level 15, we'll see a change in class choice.

I myself wouldn't have minded taking a supportive role during a battle. I thought about playing as cleric a bit, but I decided to become rogue then. Honestly, I thought there would be far more people choosing clerics. But I'm not that familiar with RPGs, I have to admit.

Anyway, it's fun watching the proceeding of the quests, Sandy. Not as fun as propably playing them, but nevermind. You do an awesome job hosting them and organizing that game.

Wow! That's a lot of people already signed up! There will have to be loads of Quests to keep all of the heroes entertained  .

It's no surprise really that Knights and Rangers are the most-picked class. Knights are just your basic hack and slash kind of guy and Rangers are the basic ranged class. Plus, they also have popular culture on their side. Knights are the archtypical medieval character, so subconsciously I think this plays a part in class selection. The same goes for Rangers. I think people like Legolas and the like still linger in the people's minds, making them like the Ranger class over the others.

These are just my thoughts. I'm sure this doesn't apply to all of you  .

Same here. There were mostly Cleric and Ranger when I was developing my character. I was originally going to go Cleric but just seemed like there were too many and not nearly enough Mages.
