Endgame Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 For your delectation, Masson's motive speech... Gizoogled. "I do believe I holla'd no mo' thangs yo, but I suppose I could entertain a gangbangin' few. I be thinkin yo' sorcerer is ghon be like vexed ta learn dat he straight-up has not a god damn thang ta convict me on... unless defeatin criminals be a act worthy of gettin one behind bars. I have lived up in Eubric fo' most of mah game, heroes. Da bustlin streets, flooded wit people... playaz of every last muthafuckin ethnicitizzle n' race minglin up in one place. Right back up in yo muthafuckin megablocks. Some had it mo' betta then others yo, but overall, nuff would say dis hive of activitizzle would be lively. I disagree. There is no game up in dis corrupt hood. There is playas goin bout they bidnizz, fo'sho, wanderin these Ennoc forsaken streets yo, but there is no game. Only noise. Unending, unrelentin noise. There is no place up in dis hood where one can live without bein effected by tha quarrelz of tha houses, tha bickerin of tha wolfgang n' tha hood watch fo' realz. All would eventually git tangled tha megabluck into one wizzy of deceit or another n' shit. I lost mah entire crew ta tha noise... mah muthafathas gots tangled tha megabluck into tha Wolfgang's web, n' mah aunt n' uncle followed suit. Even mah cousin, mo' betta known as Da Apprentice, went mad cuz of all of tha noise. For somet ime, it consumed mah crazy megablocks like a muthafucka. I hit dat shiznit under mah muthafathas up in tha Wolfgang... mah bust a cap up in count was up in tha double digits before I was even seven. After dem I loved was eventually crushed under tha noise of dis hood, I realized something. I realized dat happinizz lives up in a on tha down-low ghetto. Right back up in yo muthafuckin megablocks. Y'all KNOW dat shit, muthafucka! That one truly prospers livin a simple game, free from all of tha corruption n' greed Olegaia. Jacked from tha noise, so ta speak. Well shiiiit, it be all I eva wanted... but I'm too far beyond dat point now, nahmeean, biatch? Da simple game is too far outta mah grasp, I fear - though dat don't mean I cannot give it ta one of mah thugs." Da Steala gets on one knee, lookin all up in tha scattered wolfgang before em. "Some might say I have suttin' of a vendetta against tha Wolfgang. Perhaps I do. But tha majoritizzle of tha Wolfgang aint ta blame... they ideals is twisted by one of mah thugs higher up on tha chain of command, played by tha higher ups." Da Steala removes tha Harvesta from his cape, gently placin it on tha foreheadz of tha knocked up goons. Beadz of light shimmer up tha blades, seemingly harvestin one of they senses - common sense. "Of course, I cannot complete mah endeavor ridin' solo. A on tha down-low ghetto is suttin' dat could only be bigged up wit unity. Thus, seein tha Wolfgang, most of its chain of command a tangled mess of scams n' fear, I decided ta step in. I aint talkin' bout chicken n' gravy biatch. I be buildin something, Arthur. Shiiit, dis aint no joke. Call be a mafia, a mob, a army, whatever you shall chizzle. Yo megablocks may paint me as a cold-megablocks lil criminal. It aint nuthin but tha nick nack patty wack, I still gots tha bigger sack. But know all dis megablocks. I be fightin simply so others can live mo' laid back lives then I. I be takin these Wolfgang, n' I be takin dem away from tha corruption. I aint talkin' bout chicken n' gravy biatch. Well shiiiit, it don't matter if they smoke wit mah ideals or not up in tha end, it seems... I suspect nuff Wolfgang don't subscribe ta they leader's ideas. Da definin difference between tha Wolfgang n' tha organization I'm buildin is simple. Da Wolfgang is constructed on fear n' disorder n' shit. I'ma build a crew where playas is treated wit respect. Referred ta be they first names, n' not they ranks. Fed well, trained, advised, helped. Y'all KNOW dat shit, muthafucka! I be buildin the Syndicate, heroes fo' realz. And we will big up a on tha down-low ghetto. Right back up in yo muthafuckin megablocks." Quote
StickFig Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 (edited) Right back up in yo megablocks. Those are hilarious - thanks for sharing! WBD/CMP, any thoughts on when quest 89/90/Orc party/Circus troupe is going to get wrapped up? Hooray! Edited May 18, 2014 by nstickney Quote
Palathadric Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Scorpiox, darn it, don't send Haldor away now. I'll pay big, big money for the Dualis Sceptres. Quote
Scorpiox Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I LOVE that hair on Haldor! Scorpiox, darn it, don't send Haldor away now. I'll pay big, big money for the Dualis Sceptres. Too late. Quote
Palathadric Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 (edited) So...when's the next quest heading to Baltarok? I really want to go help the poor orcs out. Edited May 18, 2014 by Palathadric Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 ...Pyrovisionary, thank you. Thank you so very very much. R.I.P. Flipz Died laughing I highly recommend Lord of the rings as Thug o' da hood. I will never look at Gandalf the same way ever again. Pyrovisionary, I have company over and I read this aloud to her. She wishes to thank you. I wish to thank you. Lucky Quote
Khorne Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Also I haven't been following other Quests much recently - do we have anything established for the Chima lions in Heroica? I remember the weregators were from Terra Chima, and I recall Azeal was a werelion in CAT, but is there any lore on these? Also, has there been a female lion face in the Chima range? I know there wasn't for wave one, even though most of the other tribes had females. I have a face picked out already (may even be the one Azeal had), just have to put some female-ish hair on it and it should hopefully be OK. Hopefully! I know none of this is in no way "official", but I always thought of Terra Chima being somewhat like a Meso-American society, with the different kind of Were-species belonging in different castes (and Humans being amongst the lowliest of all, of course, because they are no Were): Eagles are priests who protect the Chi, Lions are warriors/guardians/rulers, Crocodiles are workers/warriors, etc. I have a more detailed version of it in my mind. I even had a very rough Quest idea for the Guild of Invision to go on an expedition there and do research on "Chi", but I have neither the parts nor the time to do such a thing. I'd rather host my hypothetical Norse quest first . Also, I'd hate to provide too much background and work out too much detailed lore for another culture and inadvertedly exclude other people, because sometimes I feel that's what I kind of have done with the Norse. So, I'll leave Chima open for others . ... I LOVE that hair on Haldor! ... Too late. Nooooo! Haldor... I probably even never got to talk to the guy. Well, seems like Eric is the only true Nord left in Heroica now . Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Wait, Scorpiox, you're leaving?! Or are you gonna be like Moriarty and return saying "Did you miss me?" alot. Quote
Cutcobra Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I LOVE that hair on Haldor! Too late. You're leaving? No! All that loot... wasted. *starts to cry because there are no emoticons on the ipad version* Quote
Scorpiox Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 You're leaving? No! All that loot... wasted. I can take great satisfaction in that NO-ONE will have the Dualis sceptres. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Nstickney, that is one of the most terrifying but awesome character avatars that I've seen in awhile. Quote
Zepher Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Absolutely agree! I loved the characters from 90! I hope to host some of them in the future!! Quote
Endgame Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I can take great satisfaction in that NO-ONE will have the Dualis sceptres. I can always drop them again. Quote
Pandora Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 The Library issue was fixed, thanks to Flipz. I still can't get the code to work perfectly, but it's close enough. I didn't actually see what the problem was, as you've already fixed it. I assume you just ended up with a bunch of html? There are html converters around on google if it happens again, although I think this may have something to do with the amount of code you already have in that one post, and you may need to add in a few more posts to spread it out. Let me know if you'd like to do that, as I'm pretty sure I can help. Quote
Sandy Posted May 18, 2014 Author Posted May 18, 2014 Quest#100 is now up! Expect to meet some familiar faces in Babeleth. So, I take it the whole Dastan Trilogy was successful? Also, if I'm missing any connections to story archs in the Index, please let me know! I didn't actually see what the problem was, as you've already fixed it. I'm thinking of creating an Archive-topic for the past quests as well as inactive/abandoned heroes (so that the Heroes' Gallery doesn't get swamped as well). Quote
Pyrovisionary Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 (edited) Oh my god this quest seems amazing . Also, ScubaCarrot, We're totally stealing your ship by the way. Edited May 18, 2014 by Pyrovisionary Quote
Palathadric Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I can always drop them again. When's the next Endgame quest? Instead of offering Shadeaux (or whatever else) rep, you can put the Dualis Sceptres up. I'd love to see a progg or oculoid eat up Haldor for turning his back on Heroica and then crap out his loot. Khorne Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Oh my god this quest seems amazing . Also, ScubaCarrot, We're totally stealing your ship by the way. Isn't the Squid guy's ship a different ship? Scuba's ship belonged to were-gators. The Squid captain was captain of a different ship, IIRC. Also, funny how both Sarge and Eric react the same way to the introduction . Quote

I meant when the Falconer said "Or you can find a third method on your own". Because the effort seems fun. Eric and Sarge are pretty similar, which Is why they won't get on I reckon.
