Endgame Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Just remember, you can have the persoanlity of a mad bomber without being one. Don't be afraid to let it happen; let the personality dictate the class change, and not the other way around. Quote
The_Customizer Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 (edited) I know that, I mean, for her full change to occur she has to become a Cannoneer, but up till that point, her personality will DEFINITELY be changing from what she used to be. Not to mention, when she becomes a Cannoneer, none of your precious doors, walls, gates, etc. will have any effect, she can use a bomb to just blast them open. CMP Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Clearly Benji has never met Arthur. I wonder when he's gonna figure out Intimidate doesn't work on heroes. Quote
Flipz Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 I wonder when he's gonna figure out Intimidate doesn't work on heroes. Probably whenever he figures out that Heroes are all masochists and/or rampaging maniacs. Quote

Can't say I'm a huge fan of that job trait, to be honest - sometimes, you need a locked door if you want to have an entire quest. (See the Demon Door in 93, or even Kintobor's entire vault arc.) It's no fun when you can just blow up any obstacle instantly. It's why the archmage's ability got nerfed. Quote
The_Customizer Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Agreed, being able to open any door at a moment's notice is boring, but I'll probably only do so if it prevents something bad, or if we didn't find a key or something. Beyond that, I'd probably just let the door be unlocked naturally. Quote
Palathadric Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 I thought ruining Endgame's pages and pages of quest material by blowing down a door was just what we do. Quote

Flipz Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 (edited) I honestly think we don't have enough information to solve this yet. All of the combinations I'm coming up with are nine letters. Edited May 25, 2014 by Flipz Quote
Endgame Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 (edited) You'll get the combination in the dungeon. The password was orginally going to be "I AM THE REGRET", but that seemed way too easy to guess. Edited May 25, 2014 by Endgame Quote
Kintobor Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 I think I got it. RainbowDash The Regret may hate all humaniods, but candy coloured equines are totally fine in his book. Quote

Endgame Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 (edited) No, Kintobor, they're not. Why do you think there haven't been any rainbow colored ponies in Heroica yet? HE'S ALREADY DISPOSED OF THEM. Edited May 25, 2014 by Endgame Quote

OK, good, I wasn't looking forward to backtracking through the whole previous part of the mine just to find the random string of letters carved in reverse on the inside of a random timber missing from the pile of scaffolding and hidden in the break room sock drawer. [/King'sQuest] No, but there will be one timed, plot important puzzle where you must have in depth knowledge of the luster of every known metal, put them through an algebraic equation to get an equation in y=mx+b format, plot that equation with another metal (one with the same first letter), and then plug the coordinates at which they meet into a grid to complete a game of picross that finishes to reveal The Regret giving you the bird. How is that possible for someone who has crab claws for hands? Quote
