You can't call me bloodthirsty- I just asked the Wizard of Oz cast one question and then they attacked me! Temperamental much... Blame Sarge and Eric.

Whaaat, blame me? Blame the Fateful Four for not being able to take a joke. They could've just said something mean back, but instead they chose to fight. It's all their fault!

EDIT:

The Decamon card game also somewhat reminds me of a local card game here in (West-)Flanders called "manillen". I try searching some English, but the game seems to be more local than I imagined. That, or it might be that it is known under another name abroad. Basically, it's a more diffcult version of Decamon (but played with a regular card deck) and some cards also trumps others via numbers and type (clover, diamond, etc.). At the start of the game you can also call out a "favored" type and every card of that type you have at the end counts for more points when counting the end score. It's difficult to explain in a short way, since there are even more rules than what I just said. Here's a link to the Dutch wiki page. Maybe Google can help you translate if you're interested (not necesarily for Heroica, but perhaps in general), but I kind of doubt a Google translated version of rules will make things easier to understand  .

If you must know, Duvors, coloring OOC was a thing even before I joined, but I was one of the ones who helped popularize the current color most people use, which is #A9A9A9.

I've been using this as OOC for as long as I can remember.

Talk about in media res. Most exciting intro scene since A New Hope.

Yeah, I've never seen it not be grey.

Also, Zepher, I may be able to whip you up a banner.

Shut up, all of you just shut up, I've already made my statement and I'm not going to change anything, if somebody had said 'please' first I might have, but I'm all annoyed now so don't bother.

I think Kinto is already on it!

And Lord Duvors, I may have considered shutting up, but you forgot to say please first, so I won't now! Use the gray!

Assimilate!

If one of my questees started doing OOC in rainbows, I'm not sure if I would give them money or kill them.

Nerwen, if you could check your inbox and handle that deal we made with swils, that'd be super helpful to both of us, thanks. :sweet:

The delay is on my end, Flipz. I'll get to it later today.

There's no need to be rude to people who are just trying to explain something that's been the standard convention for years. :sceptic:

If other members aren't understanding you because you're ignoring the standard method even though you're fully capable of conforming to it, then that's your fault, not theirs. The basic idea of having spoken words in quotes, thoughts in italics, and out-of-character comments in grey has been used in Heroica for years. If you immigrate to a country, and you're able to speak its most common or official language fluently, but you still choose to speak in some other language anyways, then it's not the fault of the existing citizens if they can't understand you.

Awesome. :sweet:

Also, Doc, you should equip Johon's Quiver of Poisoning when you hit Level 40--now that poison damage stacks, it's extremely beneficial to you, even moreso than immunity to instant kill (especially since that immunity doesn't protect you from Doomed).

I was going to apologize, but now I'm annoyed again.

And I'm not blaming anybody for anything anyway, why would I blame you for not understanding me, half the time I don't understand anything you lot say.

This is not a joke; adding a 'tongue' emoticon to a dismissive response doesn't suddenly fix things. Speaking as a moderator, not as a Heroica player, there is no need for you to be discourteous to other members when they're just trying to explain something to you.

I'm just trying to give you a good reason to change your style of posting instead of telling the members giving you advice to shut up. In any case, you did blame other members for annoying you and not saying, 'please,' which you say is the reason you won't consider changing the way you post.

Just stop it! Please, I need some time by myself to think about this, don't talk to me right now.

You can read this at your leisure.

I am going to remind you that Brickdoctor was speaking to you as a Moderator of this site.

I shall repeat myself one very last time:

Any more heated disputes or unpleasant words, and I will haul the disputers (plural) away for mediation. Whether or not they are playing in or hosting a quest.

This is not about how you post your IC/OOC/whatever. This is about how you interact with other members on this site.

Well, time to start doing OOC in rainbow colors.

Just so you know, Sandy, I sometimes don't use color on "OoC" because I'm on the tablet and don't know how to put color when writing on it.

That's totally besides the point, but okay.

Well, since everyone seems so crazy about the color grey and the out of character content.

I'm waiting for Quest #105: third Repayment on the mortgage (Semi-detached fort)

With 102 quests it is getting hard to think of names... :look:

Not really. I'm still got a backlog of quests, each with their own original titles. :shrug_oh_well:

Then again, you've never QM'd to my knowledge. It's us QM's that are going to have a problem when the time comes when we have no more names.

How about "Combat". A thrilling quest, no doubt!
