Scorpiox Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Notice: 2 heroes needed for replacement in quest 95 Recommendations: Rogue/rogue-based classes, around level 23 Is anyone actually still active in that quest? Quote
Quarryman Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Hmm, does anyone happen to remember what's the biggest amount of damage dealt in a single hit to a single target so far? Or have any ideas of battles worth checking to find out? Quote
Sandy Posted June 2, 2014 Author Posted June 2, 2014 Hmm, does anyone happen to remember what's the biggest amount of damage dealt in a single hit to a single target so far? Or have any ideas of battles worth checking to find out? Tesni did mind-blowing amounts of damage in Quest#75, for one. Djinnifer just got interesting... Haha, only now? Just so you know, I make up her wishes on the go. With her, I wanted to see how well I could incorporate roleplaying into an item. Quote
Flipz Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 This is the first time her wish has actually been helpful. Quote
Flare Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Is anyone actually still active in that quest? I think that two out of three of the participants became inactive, and only Mizuki seems to be left. I signed up because I think I probably could finish it fast enough Quote

Zepher Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Tesni or Skrall are the two I'd look to as well. Though I believe that Althior may have done an impressive amount of damage at the end of 68 with his enormous horde of rats. And yes, XX is back once more! I think I've commented before that he's one of my favorite NPCs to play. And don't feel you have to read up on him if you don't want to Matthias/Purpearl - 102 is designed to have lots of references, but you don't need any other quests to actually understand what's going on. So no pressure either way! Quote
Flipz Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 (edited) K-Nut, don't take this the wrong way, but...are you even paying attention to your Quest-mates? On another note, are Jebs and I the only people who have read the rules page and noticed that Necromancers can revive their allies with Ether? And noticed that, in fact, it's the only way they could concievably get a "Raise the Dead" on the last enemy in battle (since healing actions get rolled even after the last enemy dies)? Edited June 2, 2014 by Flipz Quote
Zepher Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 (edited) No, you are not, that still very much figures into my plan to go Necromancer... eventually, if I get the chance before reaching Level 40... when was the most recent Zeigfried quest? Edited June 2, 2014 by Zepher Quote
Kintobor Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 I gave Zeigfried rep back in 78... but that was awhile ago... Quote
Flipz Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 (edited) Also, we need a new Expert Class between "Dragoon" and "Minstrel" so that the pages line up nicely for Minstrel and Necromancer again. Edited June 2, 2014 by Flipz Quote
Sandy Posted June 2, 2014 Author Posted June 2, 2014 Also, we need a new Expert Class between "Dragoon" and "Minstrel" so that the pages line up nicely for Minstrel and Necromancer again. Eradicator? Fencer? Geomancer? Hitchhiker? Icebreaker? Jailbird? Kingslayer? Levitator? I've been thinking about it, and I can't really come up with a type of class we would still be missing in this game. There's currently 44 classes to choose from. Quote

Yeah, it'd be to his benefit but I think his actions add nicely to the disfunction of the party. His refusal to revive is fine with me as if I want exp I'll go to the Fields but I'm not sure others feel the same. With this battle Nur has learned that he can not rely on the party leader so will use his items as necessary to keep the others up. Quote

Sandy Posted June 2, 2014 Author Posted June 2, 2014 Vanguard? Doesn't fit in between the letters D and M, like Flipz wanted to. Unless you were referring to a class we are still missing. I think we've got the tanks covered with Warden and Guardian Knight. Quote
The Legonater Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Hitchhiker? Main Weapon: Towel. Damage done is WP+42 Quote
Quarryman Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Tesni did mind-blowing amounts of damage in Quest#75, for one. Yeah, found her 128x multiplier now, I'd be greatly surprised if that one isn't the answer to my question. Guess I still have a way to go then.. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 When it comes to actual party roles your standards are: Tank: Prevents the party from taking damage (Knight, Warden, Paladin, Guardian Knight, Skirmisher, Paragon) Striker Single-Target: High damage output against single target (Ranger, Rogue, Hunter, Berserker, Black Knight, Evoker, Shaman, Beast Warrior, Chi Monk, Dragoon, Infiltrator, Necromancer, Regulator, Winged Warrior, Artisan, Sylvan Ranger, Rogue Thief, Paragon,) Striker Multi-Target: High damage output against multiple targets (Barbarian, Raider, Assassin, Cannoneer, Marauder, Barbarian Chieftain, Paragon) Controller: Debuffs enemies and handles groups of enemies well (Mage, Sorcerer, Mystic Knight, Witch, Battle Mage, Sage, Evoker, Witch, Necromancer, Harlot, Arch Mage, Prophet) Leader: Heals the party, provides buffs to allies (Cleric, Paladin, Druid, Sage, Shaman, Minstrel, Necromancer, Alchemist, High Cleric, Prophet) Heroica is a bit different due to the nature of its combat system when it comes to these roles as compared to other RPG's but the basics remain. If we're looking at additional classes, I'd suggest a tank or a leader class. Quote
Endgame Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 This is the first time her wish has actually been helpful. Face of who or what, though? Quote

With this battle Nur has learned that he can not rely on the party leader so will use his items as necessary to keep the others up. I was waiting to use an incense, which I just did. I didn't want to revive someone when I knew someone else would go right down and I'd have to waist an incense. I also didn't see Nur remedy Walbartan until just now either. Quote
Cryos Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 (edited) How about class reworks? I've always had this idea for Chi Monk to where instead of being weaponless, they could boast a stance system and use bo staffs (lances), brass knuckles (new weapon type? ), sai's (daggers), kamas (swords/scythes) and so on and so forth. They could go to the training room to apply a stance to a weapon, removing all bonuses except the element and WP and adding the stance. i.e. Bleeding Willow; lance Stance; Brutal Tide - Chi Monk gains bonus SP based on the amount of items equipped, Dragon Claws; fists Stance:Sundering Weave - Chi monk becomes hastened and their attacks will cause a stun for the next round. Cannot be applied on same target 3 rounds after the duration of the stun. it's just been a thought floating around in my head. Edited June 2, 2014 by Cryos Quote
CMP Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Hold on, let me delve into the infinite labyrinth of gibberish that comprises my expert class ideas. I had sort of a warrior monk class idea called the Ascetic that would channel one of four spirits at the cost of 5 ether, and gain buffs when they attack. One was based on defense, another on outright offense, one on marking a specific enemy, and one that granted multiple positive effects but degraded health and ether. I kind of like Chi Monk how it is, but the changing battle style idea is ripe to be used in another expert class. Quote
Zepher Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Regulator and Beast Warrior already switch battle styles, though not as willfully! Could be interesting! I hope you enjoy playing as Regulator, by the by, Pie. I keep forgetting to ask you what you think of it, being the only person who's ever taken me up on the class! Quote
