Much better. :classic: As far as "trying to injure him" I think we all know what you're attempting when you said Throlar flung the mace and chain at his head.

True.

In my opinion Regulator is very, very, very powerful. Probably the most powerful class I have QM-ed. Maybe a lot of that comes from Atramor that somehow has managed to pick up some extremely powerful weapons (The unreasonably oddball that is the Pheles Kris(Rod), And the Tiger Claws with it's two great modifiers.) Combine that with some decent artifacts and you are good to go with any class. But still, Regulator is just so good, especially Chaotic Mode. Regulators get to carry Shields as well, which is basically a freebie. Chaotic Mode brings with it Pessimism, which is an EXCELLENT 4-roll. One of the best, if not the best 4-roll around for sure. There's a lot of instances where I would rather have the enemy Jinxed than have an aim or something. Chaotic hit, can be really good or really bad, but I would argue that it would generally be good, as you're hitting a target that you don't need to target. And of course the Free Hit that comes with it is amazing. The Regulator's ability to half an enemy's health on a Shield roll can either be very good or not very good, but it's solid, and it always does something. The Shield Roll is not dependent on existence of ether, elemental immunities or anything. Orderly mode is also good, especially since they have a 2/6 chance to completely ignore any and all Free hits that come the whole party's way. Since a lot of difficulty often comes from dealing with free hits, this is amazing. The unpredictable mode change is supposed to be offsetting some of it strengths, but I feel like that does not work if both modes are amazing. One thing is for sure, Regulator is really, really fun class! Both QM-ing, and from what I gather from CMP, also playing.

I don't know. I feel like it's unreasonably powerful, maybe, but I am not a 100% sure because CMP is generally excellent at getting things that are just plain powerful. It's super strong and anyone that is offensive, has access and gear for it and is not being Regulator, is doing it wrong if they're going for strongest character.

Palathadric, you could at least have had the good sense to blush (like all those before you ).

 Oh, come on, don't point it out in public.

Quick question: Any non-Baltarokers want to go to the Orcish continent? Do we have any Baltarokers wanting to return?

I need to go and hunt me some orcs.

Oh, oh, oh, maybe I'll go as a Winged Warrior. Yeah!

Much better. :classic: As far as "trying to injure him" I think we all know what you're attempting when you said Throlar flung the mace and chain at his head.

:snicker:

Although this is Heroica, you never know. It's like when we make an ally jinxed and hit them a few times to defeat the enemy or when we heal the enemy to defeat him...or whatever.

Wow! Altogether too many smileys there. :look:

Don't forget, Pie has smartly chosen a number of Artifacts that will follow him between classes--it's less "Regulator" and more "good general build"--he won't be losing much when he shifts to Infiltrator, that's for sure. I'd actually argue that Regulator is a weaker choice than Skirmisher--unlike Regulator, Skirmishers can tank from the back while still doing ranged damage with thrown pole-arms, and Phalanx is insanely good. Assistance is another fantastic job trait, and we also get an amazing "Miss" roll in Defend (admittedly, it's not as good as Pessimism, but considering that most Skirmishers will be mega-tanks it's insanely good). Also, don't forget that "Optimism" only affects the Regulator, while "Rally" affects the whole party--that can potentially make a whole lot of difference.

...I really, really want to see Skirmisher Skrall and Alexandre now, a Skirmisher power team-up sounds hella fun.

We ought to start digging through these trash cans, then. They're an integral part of BioShock's economic system.

Karie rummages through the garbage for anything of use.

Hooray! Although we can't award Kintobor points for fulfilling CMP's thought since she was two hours early....

ooc: I seem to scare away all my fellow players.... Not as much fun playing by myself.

CC, don't worry... you're not scaring people off, you're actually making me want to send Matthias on a quest with Darksten.

Notice:

2 heroes needed for replacement in quest 95

Recommendations: Rogue/rogue-based classes, around level 23

I hate to say this but I don't think that anyone else is going to sign up to be a replacement for your quest. Either take me, and lets finish up your quest, or just cancel it because you're waiting days and days and no one seems to be interested. I volunteered just because I figured that I could help ya get it done with faster, and that I'm as good as two level 23 heroes in one

Yeah I see what you mean. I'll wait until later today, but if no one else joins, I guess I'll just replace Wedge, and hopefully TBW will start being active again...

Karie shoots Heckz a Z-Mail.

"Don't allow the skunk to follow you! If he's in the entrance hall, we'll grab him.

That is a weirdly specific message.

He'll run if the party gets into a fight. Since Heckz party will most likely get into one, our party has to grab him.

I'm pointing out that it's unlikely Karie knows what Heckz's party ran into.

Kinto, not to bother you, but in this RP setting France doesn't exist, the language is called Charisian or something like that.

Posted

So "French" can be a colloquialism for it, I don't see the problem here. :hmpf:

On a positive note, Sandy, way to go with the elemental-damaging enemies who carry elemental weapons! Going to have to adopt that practice right away.

Not in character it can't, there is no in setting cultural background that would justify it's use as such, unless you happen to hate the fourth wall.

Of course there is! Charisian is obviously short for frencharisian and french is short for frencharisian.

We're arguing about the usage of a word. :sceptic: Really, are we going to get this nitty gritty when it comes to dialogue in Heroica?

This isn't that big of a deal, Lord Duvors, and you don't need to make it into one. Otherwise the Drama Llama shows up, and then everyone gets dramatic.

Also, am I the only one who's having trouble with Kinto and Sandy's avatars? I read a post and think Sandy wrote it because I have pink in my peripheral vision but then Karie is staring at me in the signature....

If we have one thing to thank the Furry Fandom for...

It's the Drama Llama.

What's wrong with Pinkie staring into your soul? I've mixed the two of us up before. Oh, the misleading I've caused!

This is actually the third. Way back during Quest #70, Endgame's icon was one of the Syndicate members with their hood on, Masson or Octavyn I believe, done in LLD.

Mine was Karie with her hood on, done in LDD.

Oh, my goodness, are we just going to let this slip by unpunished. Karie should lose five levels for even the thought of saying "French." *oh2* Just think of how it could negatively affect her poor old grandfather! :distressed:

Allow me to formally welcome you to Hell.
