Actaeon Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Welcome to Heroica Actaeon and Samuraiturtle. Thank you! Happy to be here Quote
samurai-turtle Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Samuraiturtle, is your character an actual cat in gameworld or some sort of feline humanoid/demon? It is some sort of hybrid. It can run around on all four like a regular cat, but it can stand up right and hold weapons. Sort like some sort of cartoon animal is the best I can describe it. Quote

Only mentioning it as we've had some players that have wanted to play animals in the past and were discouraged against it and I wasn't sure if that was what you were going for. There is a class that is an animal shape-shifter though if you're interested. Edited June 8, 2014 by Waterbrick Down Quote
StickFig Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 (edited) Welcome to Heroica, samauriturtle! Hilariously and Luckily Drunk- The user is Lucky so long as they make a (passable) pun every time they attack. Ooc: I don't have to highlight puns in any particular manner right? Comrade Commander, I'm guessing this is the kind of thing that Kintobor is looking for: "Interesting form for a hero to take," he says to the cat, "are you paws-itive you are at the right place?" Nice one, Actaeon! Edited June 8, 2014 by nstickney Quote
Actaeon Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Nice one, Actaeon! Why thank you! I hope to make my character have that type of humor where people think he's joking based on his speech, but begin to doubt if the pun was intentional when they see his face Wait, I can get a bonus with puns? Quote
Sandy Posted June 8, 2014 Author Posted June 8, 2014 Welcome to the game on my behalf, as well, Actaeon and samuraiturtle! Samuraiturtle, Waterbrick Down is right in that I would prefer your character to be portrayed by a minifigure. Having actual animals join Heroica opens a whole can of problems. There's actually a tigerman figure in the largest set of this summer's wave of Legends of Chima. Actaeon, I would love to see your version of any map that's been posted on the Library. And once you've participated in one or two quests, you are free to send me your own quest ideas via private message. Quote

I will probably draw it up within the next few weeks. I'll send it to you when I have finished it! Quote

And I do not think shape-shifter class is for "The Demon Germ". And thanks for the welcome from every one. Welcome to the game on my behalf, as well, Actaeon and samuraiturtle! joeshmoe554 Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Wait, I can get a bonus with puns? Only if you are Hilariously and Luckily Drunk drunk Hurricane - This exotic drink grants the Hilariously and Luckily Drunk-effect, doubling the power of every attack, provided the consumer can state a pun related to his attack with every attack for the duration of one battle. And thanks for the welcome from every one. And there-in lies one of the oddities/artistic-liberties of Heroica. "Were-" is used to refer both to those who transform between a human form and an animal form as well as races of humanoid animals (i.e. Furries basically). But as Sandy mentioned, as long as The Demon Germ is represented by a minifigure you'll be good. Quote
Actaeon Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Alright I will change it to some thing else. It might be for the best. I was picturing your character as a kitten until you described him later on! Only if you are Hilariously and Luckily Drunk drunk I need it. Is it at the market? Or is it a quest item only? Quote

There's a lot of room for interpretation with werecreatures being from Terra Chima--it's the origin of most were-animal species, and hasn't been explored a lot yet. Also, RE: Quest 99: and THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is how you break black Psyche-Locks. EDIT: Link failed, trying . Edited June 8, 2014 by Flipz Quote
Sandy Posted June 8, 2014 Author Posted June 8, 2014 Here's a more subdued version of Ellaria's new look. I like it much better personally, even though it's on the dull side. Quote
Khorne Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Well, most of them are old, and all of them where made by Sandy save the one of Dastan, that was made by Brickdoctor, there is also a map of Varthland somewhere in there that I don't exactly know who it was made by, and there are lots of maps that aren't even in the Library (HinthintnudgeSandypleasedosomthingaboutthatplease). By the way, it is nice to meet the creator of the map for the Lands of Mythron. I'd like to add that most mapmaking is done by QM's for they're own quests, so if you ever get familiar enough with this to try and host a quest you are welcome to make a map of your own for it. You mean this map? I made that one . I used it again here on page 1 of the different sheets of information about the Vikings. Quote
StickFig Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Snipped for side-by-side comparison purposes.... I like 'em both - I think you should keep the arms and legs from option 2 but put the hair and helmet from option 1 back on! Quote

Flipz Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 I actually prefer the brighter green arms and the focus on the staff as the held weapon - they all share that light green accent colour you have on the torso print itself. I also stand by my earlier suggestion that Ellaria should be holding the spider helmet in her other hand. That said, I like the new legs, and at the very least taking the helmet off her head makes her look a lot more sane. (I'd be interested in seeing her with the hair style from the first pic but without the helmet- that at least would help the update "feel" different from her current garb. Quote

Kintobor Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 (edited) I personally don't like the beehive. It looks off on Ellaria. I do however really like the first one, and I even sort of like the spider helmet, but perhaps in her hands it would look better. I need it. Is it at the market? Or is it a quest item only? It was first conceived as a joke item, and a few QMs began using it as such. It's generally only available through quests, and generally QMs only allow them to be used on the quest, since myself and Zepher have never allowed them to leave bars. Here's a few alternative hairstyles for Ellaria. I'm actually really digging the beehive. First one is by far my favorite. The second one makes her easier to recognize, though. Quote
Khorne Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Loving the puns, Acateon! Maybe you ought to change your character's outfit to this? Quote
Palathadric Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Wow! They're all really good. I still think the first is my favourite (it's gotta be that helmet. ). What are you guys calling the beehive? Is it her hair in the last pic? If so, then I stand by Kintobor in that I don't think it suits her at all. Quote
