Brickdoctor Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Brickdoctor [...] roleplay Do you see the problem there? Quote
Palathadric Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 It just makes it all the more necessary. Thinking back on Quest #14, was it? When Docken couldn't even be affected by the nymphs. Clearly he has a thing for frogs though. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 The sirens did affect Docken (on the grounds that he was a male character). Quote
JimBee Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Do you see the problem there? No. "Docken [...] roleplay", maybe, but I thought you intended on roleplaying with another character when that time came. And that originally Docken was meant to have a backstory. But if all that's changed... Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 No. "Docken [...] roleplay", maybe, but I thought you intended on roleplaying with another character when that time came. And that originally Docken was meant to have a backstory. But if all that's changed... That time hasn't come yet, and unlike roleplaying, procrastination is something I'm good at. The backstory for Docken was going to be stuff I did in GoH (Even if they aren't in the same universe.), plus the stuff from the first few months of the game (which I reserve the right to retcon ). I just never had the motivation to do anything with it. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 (edited) Welcome Daeth, good to see a new cleric around. Do note that clerics can only use Hammers, Maces, Staves, or Broomsticks though. Edited June 12, 2014 by Waterbrick Down Quote
Flipz Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Welcome Daeth! It's been a while since we've gotten a new Cleric (I think Grimwald may have been the most recent one), and they certainly make low-Level Quests easier to balance for. Interesting race idea, too. Quote
CMP Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 The heroes, sharing the drink, feel camaraderie for each other. I like it. Quote
Zepher Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Thank you! It's a small buff, and it does something we don't really have filled quite yet, and I think/hope it embodies the drink that Pandora so wonderfully added to our game. Quote
Vash the Stampede Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Nice to see an influx of new players. When was the last time this happened? Quote
LordoftheNoobs Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Wow, a new Cleric after more than a year! 'Bout bloody time too! Quote
StickFig Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 OOC: What exactly does Bound do to me? Bound- Binds the targets feet for the next round, making them unable to switch rows or use close range weapons. OOC: Thanks! In that case, Deus attacks Spectral Spinner B from the back row. Since Deus is a ranger, and was already in the back row... Bound doesn't do anything! He can still use ranged weapons from the back row. Quote
Flipz Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Bound was a lot more threatening back in the early days when everyone was playing Knights and Barbarians and fighting in the Front Row. Nowadays with so many ranged fighters and everyone else cowering in the Back Row thanks to super high enemy Levels, it doesn't carry the same weight. Quote
StickFig Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Speaking of the early days... My hobby: reading older quests just to see character pictures. Guess who?! Quote
Chromeknight Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Ellaria? Hoke? Erdathcath Hybros Legonardo Brickdoctor And Cinna the dark. Quote
Endgame Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 (edited) I believe the first one is Alexis, and the second one Benji. Edited June 12, 2014 by Endgame Quote
Chromeknight Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Wow. Yeah. They're certainly in different places now, characterwise. Quote
Flipz Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 I miss that old design for Cinna; it's always been one of my favorite character designs in Heroica. Quote
StickFig Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Ellaria? Hoke? Erdathcath Hybros Legonardo Brickdoctor And Cinna the dark. I believe the first one is Alexis, and the second one Benji. Yep! Although with the bare legs I don't know that Alexis has matured much as a character... I'm sure lots of newer players (like me) think of Hoke rather than Benji when they see picture 2! And yes, I know Legonardo's just an NPC, but as a gnome, he's a Hero to me! Quote
Masked Builder Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Speaking of the early days... My hobby: reading older quests just to see character pictures. Guess who?! Let's just pretend this never happened... Quote
Endgame Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Let's just pretend this never happened... Any reason? Alexis has been consistently good, if not a bit quiet. Quote
StickFig Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Let's just pretend this never happened... So maybe you prefer this? Hahaha you actually have one of the more interesting picture sets, since there has been so much evolution. Quote
Masked Builder Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Any reason? Alexis has been consistently good, if not a bit quiet. The red hair. I don't know why I ever did that. So maybe you prefer this? Hahaha you actually have one of the more interesting picture sets, since there has been so much evolution. Actually yes. True, I should compile all of them, that'd be cool to see I think. Quote
Kintobor Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 (edited) Hahaha you actually have one of the more interesting picture sets, since there has been so much evolution. Allow me to point you to Karie, who went from revealing clothes with a corset and boots, to a tight, form fitting leather catsuit (that belonged to her sister), to fully covered in ninja wear, to a sweater and cape in goth colours, to a skimpy and rather revealing dress with glitter abound. Edited June 12, 2014 by Kintobor Quote
StickFig Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 (edited) And now I'll have to go read a bunch of her quests just to see... Really, I have to say that what people have accomplished here as far as creating a world and a cast of characters is remarkable. And Masked, I'm interested to see how Alexis undergoes her next transformation... => Edited June 12, 2014 by nstickney Quote
